Beloved for its proximity to both the Jersey Shore and New York City, the central region of Middlesex County sits about 40 miles southwest of Midtown Manhattan. Nearby New Brunswick, home to Rutgers University, provides access to a rich, local arts and culture hub. This neighborhood is ideal for those seeking a quiet, suburban setting not far removed from nearby entertainment and amenities. Mid- and low-rise apartment communities in the northern section of the neighborhood give way to more single-family homes fit for a variety of renters. Interstate 95 and a host of other thoroughfares make commuting around the area a breeze.

Property Ratings at Woodhaven Commons
I reside in woodhaven meadows, which is connected to the commons. I'm in my 2nd lease, one of the first ones in the community. From Day 1 our bedroom window has leaked when raining. We have opened 5 work orders only for them to be closed by management because "the contractor is working on it" When we claim our matters have not been resolved through their automated system, nobody contacts us. It has been 18 months and the window still leaks. This is a brand new building, we are the first in. No reason windows should be leaking. Recently our Samsung washer broke mid cycle, with standing water in it. We reported the incident immediately and was assured someone would look at it within 24 hours. It's now taken over a week with no timetable of when it will be fixed. I consider myself patient but after many phone calls and emails just trying to coordinate getting someone out there when I will be home has been like pulling teeth. Management clearly does not care, as they refuse to give me a property manager phone number and just keep repeating to use the email provided, which nobody has yet to answer from previous problems. Other problems with the community: -Plumbing sucks, the pipes expand and contract in the walls with a clicking noise as hot water cools -Either not enough dumpsters or too infrequent of pickups for garbage and recycling -Cheap building materials and appliances (samsung, they break more than my 40 year appliances I had at my last place) -Building settled poorly and our grout in the kitchen between the floor tiles has been cracking and breaking up -This community looks shiny and new but rest assured it is overpriced and if anything goes wrong you're in for a frustrating time 0.5/5 stars - Would not recommend for long term tenants
