Property Ratings at Windsor Landing Apartments
I've lived here 3 years. The office staff and maintenance go above and beyond for each of us that live here. The girls in the office know everyone by name and are quick to say Hi no matter where you are on the property. They put on monthly events and I haven't experienced events like this at any other apartment I've lived at. If you are looking for an apartment I highly highly highly suggest Windsor Landing. I could go on forever but I'll keep it short. Thank you to the staff for making my living experience so great!!!
I have lived here for 2 years and cannot say enough about this community and the staff!! From the front office, to maintenance, to the owners they are all fantastic! Very quick to respond to anything I need. I also absolutely love the events put on each month! There is a wide variety but always have something for everyone! If you're looking for somewhere to live I highly suggest checking this place out!
I absolutely love living at Windsor landing ! The maintenance team is prompt to fix any issues I may have , and the leasing / management staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the monthly resident events they host as it has built many friendships with other residents. The location is also ideal , very close to 485 / lots of shopping centers !
What a great experience. From the moment I walked in the door from being greeted by the leasing agent and the property manager I immediately felt at home. While I waited in the lobby one of the maintenance guys asked if I would like a water and a snack. The pool absolutely sold me on this apartment, everyone seemed like family out there playing cornhole and having fun. I looked at their premium 2 bedroom/2 bathroom for my family. It was beautiful, with the white cabinets and backslash in the kitchen. I loved how it had hardwood flooring all throughout the apartment except in the bedrooms. So close to everything in downtown Matthews. Can't wait to call this my new home :)
I haven't lived at Windsor Landing all that long but for what I have experienced so far I will be here living here for a while. My favorite part has been the resident events. The staff does such an excellent job putting on events that are so fun and a great way to meet others in the community. The amenities are also so great and well maintained. Windsor Landing is the place to be!
I've lived at Windsor Landing a little over 2 years now. I cannot say enough about this property and the staff! The maintenance guys are quick to respond and keep me informed! The ladies in the office are fantastic! They have taken the time to get to know me since living here. Upon move in my apartment was clean and the move in process was quick and simple. One of my favorite parts about living here are the resident events each month. The events are a great way to get to know my new neighbors and hang out with the ones that I've grown close with over the years. The grounds are always kept clean and all of the staff are quick to help when I need them! I cannot recommend living here enough! I love my apartment and this community!
THE WORST!!! SEE YOUR APARTMENT BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING!!! I just rented a 3 bedroom apartment at Windsor Landing that is literally infested with cockroaches of all sizes. They delayed my move 1 week and still put me in a dirty apartment. Roaches, black mildew on all the windows, dog food in the cabinets, even after a second cleaning. Kitchen cabinets are falling apart and covered with some kind of vinyl covering (I can’t imagine what’s underneath!!) even the cabinet tops are covered with some type of gross feeling overlay! It’s really the worst experience I’ve ever had. They are trying to accommodate me, but it’s too late for that and definitely not to my satisfaction! They shouldn’t have put me in here in the first place! There is much more wrong than what I’ve written about here! I wake up with cockroaches at my head and I only fall asleep because I’m freaking exhausted! I’ve even spent a fortune on fast food because I can’t eat here due to bugs, rodent bombs and paranoia!
Everything in apartment are so cheap and fix, when you moving out they will charge a lot for fixing it!!!
It’s such a pleasure to live at this complex. The staff is so friendly and the grounds are beautiful. I’ve met some really good friends since being a resident. The pool is an awesome time in the summer and it is in a great location near downtown Matthews
Been here 8 years and made the right choice! Very nice Pool, Grill & Social Area, and the Property Office Management & Maintenance Team is the best since I moved in! Neighbors are friendly and look out for each other, and you cannot beat the location!
I love living at Windsor Landing. The proximity to everything is amazing while also feeling like I'm off the beaten path due to the wooded areas surrounding the community. I moved in this summer during Covid and I felt at home immediately. Everyone has been so great and safe too! Maintenance is so quick to respond and the office staff is phenomenal. I wish I had a little more closet space in my apartment though but I also just have a lot of crap so it could just be me.
I have lived at Windsor Landing for 3 years and I love it!! The location could not get any better. It is literally 5 minutes from anything you could ever want. The property is older but very well maintained. I have the cutest apartment that over looks the woods and is super private. Sometimes I don't even feel like I am in an apartment. When I have maintenance issues the maintenance guys comes over right away and fixes it. You always see people walking and running all throughout the day. Everything is great! I have no issues!!
I am here almost 4 years now and this review is long overdue! This should be my fourth 5-STAR review because the place keeps getting better and better. First the apartment…clean and ready to move in when I arrived. The apartment is roomy with washer/drier hookups. Nice window blinds. Repairs…rarely needed…have been done well and in a very timely basis. The complex is constantly being upgraded including adding bright LED lighting outside each apartment making the place very safe. The parking lots are also well lit. Other upgrades that have occurred include repaving of the entire parking lot, adding an outdoor kitchen, upgrading the fitness center. Lots of amenities including beautiful pool, lit tennis court, shaded picnic areas with outdoor grills, dog park, nicely appointed fitness center, clean laundry area with lots of machines, gardening plots, car washing area and a nice clubhouse with free Wi-Fi, coffee and popcorn! The property is well maintained with lawns kept nicely mowed, bushes and trees trimmed. The buildings sit in a park like setting with lots of beautiful trees. Also, the complex is very pet friendly with lots of pet waste stations scattered throughout. The location is wonderful. Convenient to downtown Matthews and Charlotte. Many things are within easy walking distance of the complex including many restaurants (Chinese, Mexican, sandwich shops, Outback, McDonalds, Chic Fil A, etc.), movies, shopping (Kohls, Sam’s Club, Costco, Lowes, ABC store, etc.), large fitness center, chiropractor, dentist, hair salons, gas station, dry cleaner and more. Within two miles of the complex is everything you could possibly need including more restaurants, auto repair, hospital and MORE! It has really made life very easy for me. I have saved the best for last…the management staff of Kristy, Lauren and Emily. They are great and make this an even more wonderful place to live. They know every one by name and get to know them personally. They offer helpful services including package holding (e.g. FEDEX, UPS, etc.), monthly social events for the residents, great follow-up and communications and are available to help whenever necessary. They make the place a wonderful place to live. OK…I’m done with my list of accolades. Don’t rely on the negative reviews you might see. The residents writing them are the problem…not the complex. If you are looking for an apartment you should definitely consider Windsor Landing as a place to live!
I have been so happy living here for 3 years. While I am moving out (getting married), I cannot think of one negative from my experiences at Windsor Landing. The staff is phenomenal! They are professional and attentive. Maintenance has also been terrific. The amenities here are VERY good and I have loved the community. I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking in the Matthews area. You will not be disappointed.
The units are clean, and the leasing staff is very friendly and helpful. They take the time to get to know residents by name, and provide prompt service. I have had problems with unresponsive staff at other apartments, so it's nice that this wasn't an issue here.
This property is one of the best I've had the pleasure of living at. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the property is well managed and taken care of. If you have a complaint, they will try their hardest to do right by you. When it comes to apartments in Charlotte you're gonna run into problems, but ultimately who is responding to your concerns makes a huge difference. Would recommend this property to anyone from a young professional to full families!

Despite what the 10/24/19 review, written by the front office, says, crime and smells of this apartment complex are not typical for Charlotte. I left this apartment and went to live in a place where my car didn’t get keyed and I didn’t smell marijuana from neighbors and police didn’t ask for information on neighbors with mugshots. Renter beware. I CANNOT emphasize that enough. I moved to a different complex prior to my lease ending it got that bad. This is no place for women, especially women alone.
I've lived at Windsor Landing for a little over a year and a half, and have been blown away by how great the complex is! Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and you will see them go above and beyond for their tenants. They host great resident events monthly, which help to foster a sense of community within the property that helps make strangers feel like friends! You will almost certainly see kids out playing, and folks walking their dogs on any given afternoon, which helps make the property feel alive and welcoming! Property is always clean and cared for, and the maintenance team gets the job done in a timely manner. As someone who used to work for a company that did turns on apartments, I can ensure you this staff does the job better than most! Any complaints listed by folks on this site (crime, smells, etc.) are problems you will find at ANY complex in a city as large as Charlotte, so I'd take them with a grain of salt. All in all, great location, great staff, great people! I would recommend Windsor Landing to anyone looking for a great place to live!
I have lived here for five years and I couldn't be happier. They don't have all the fancy asthetics in my apartment but the customer service is unbelievable ! Kristy has been here going on 6 years and is so passionate about job. They don't charge all the crazy fees for "technology bundles or valet waste . The location is superb and you are only 15 mins from Uptown and 3 mins from downtown Matthews. Emily always has my package and greets me by my name . It shocks me that they know my name knowing they have 255 different residents. The property is always so clean and quiet . It's the little things that matter . Kristy , Lauren and Emily are great people !
I would advise anyone considering this place to make sure you dont fall for the nice view on the outside (image). The aparements are supposbly cleaned after every move out, well Its not. My kids developed a rash since they play on the carpets so I ended up using my own carpet cleaning machine, and boy the water was dark.. spent 5hrs cleaning all the carpets in my aparment. Water was dark filled with sand, pet hair, and dirt. Parents with kids becareful. Managment tried covering themself after I exposed their dirty aparment, and deducted x amount of my rent for a month. I still have photos and videos. The parking is a nightmare here, you have no assigned parking, sometimes I have to park in a different complex and walk back to my place.. more than often this happenes. I find people that dont even live here parking for days and weeks. Its not a kid friendly place at all. Dont let the swimming pool be a illusion of fun, the pool is rarly cleaned it reeks of chlorine beyond normal levels so becareful when you swim. If you decide to move in, make sure you buy your own carpet cleaner.
I have been living at Windsor Landing for over a year and love it. The complex is back off the main road kind of tucked away in the woods. It really has a neighborhood feel. My apartment is the perfect size, big balcony, my neighbors are great, the pool is fantastic and maintenance is on point! I would recommend to anyone, I really enjoy living here!
Windsor Landing is overall a wonderful place to live. While the rent isn't cheap, it's definitely competitive when compared to similar apartments. The grounds are kept clean and the ladies in the office are typically very friendly and helpful. Maintenance doesnt always get to repairs as quickly as they should and once they even forgot us altogether. Never any crime to speak of and the neighbors are respectful for the most part.Unlike a lot of apartments, there isnt really a problem with bugs here. Its very clean. There is plenty of space in my 2 BR apartment. I cannot speak for the 1 BR models. Overall I hope to renew my lease this Spring.
I am new to the complex. The entire staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I am so close to Downtown Matthews and Downtown Charlotte. I am also close to a neat little shopping center with lots of activities to do. The complex is so clean, well kept, and inviting.There is a fantastic pool and tennis court. I would recommend everyone to come and check it out.
