Property Ratings at Windsong
I left this community after living here and having to deal with weed smoke coming into my apartment for almost a year. I wasn't given a concession nor was I allowed to break my lease and I was told it was considered to be a normal/every day of living in an apartment complex. Uh it was affecting my health and quality of life, yet I had to stay here until the end of my lease. The complex look beautiful from the outside but there are always dog droppings everywhere. The worst part is that the neighbors downstairs and upstairs can be heard even when they are speaking normally. There is no privacy in between units as far as sound goes. i would not recommend
I've lived at Windsong apartments for over 6 years now and the quality of living in the complex has deteriorated greatly in the last couple of years. With a lack of communication from the office staff it is becoming more and more challenging to stay in this community. Whenever we give feedback about issues we tenants notice with the property those concerns are brushed aside and dismissed. Example of issues we have raised with the office staff: overflowing garbage containers- a norm at this property! Lack of accountability in regards to pets' waste from tenants with fur babies who don't pick up their pups waste. Dogs that are allowed to roam freely outside. Litter left in the pool area, such as glass beer bottles and overflowing trash cans in the pool area. We also have had issues with criminal activity in this complex and last month my car was vandalized while parked right in front of my door. There's been a rash of vandalism with Toyota brand cars, another tenant's rims got stolen. We also have a huge issue with hot water (or just water in genearl) being shut off for long periods of time with little to no communincation given prior to tenants. I will give credit to the maintenance staff because they are great, especially Roman who is very respectful of our home whenever he comes in to fix any issues. I've spoken with the newest property manager Hannah-Lee and I hope that she will be able to help us restore our community to a beutiful, safe, clean environmnet.

I would totally recommend them because I have lived here for 4 years and the maintenance employees are always very friendly in the office as well as being a very safe neighborhood.

Everything was well kept and apartment I looked at was very nice.
Windsong is great. The apartments are nice for the price of rent & I would and do recommend it to anyone I know looking for an apartment.
Would rent because staff is professional and community is clean and location is good.
Its a nice quite apartments. The grounds are well kept th e interior and exterior is great.
The small 1 bedroom apartment is fine for a single person but not so much for a single elderly person with many personal items
Of the dozens of properties I looked at this past weekend, 3 leasing offices and their personnel stood out,611 Lamar, The Residence at North Dallas, and Windsong. In the end, Windsong had the best apartments, location, price, and people. I can't wait to move in and call it home.

The apartment complex is lovely and I extremely love it so far.
The community is clean and friendly family environment! So far the neighbors I have met have been sweet and friendly! That so much needed with the world falling apart around us!

Big trees, safe neighborhood, ok parking, friendly staff and in a good location is as good as it gets! The past 2 years, the maintenance has always been timely and they've been steadily working hard to upgrade the community too. I would say to view the apartment before arriving with the movers, as there was a little mix-up with housekeeping. I guess we will see if all the complaints about fees comes true or not. Many apartments are such a rip offs, I have a hard time imagining that happening here. They're always so professional and caring.

Our experience at Windsong was good! The staff were very helpful, especially Bri. The apartment was clean with new carpet and no roaches. The pools were nice. Hot tub never worked and the gym was too small. Overall, a good experience.

The leasing staff will go out of their way to accommodate move in dates, floor level and floor plan choices, etc. David has kept me informed every step of the way, one time just calling to touch base and say everything was still being processed and that he would call me as soon as he knew more. That is the kind of service, not just clocking in and out to collect a paycheck but taking pride in your job and going the extra mile, that would make me recommend this property without hesitation.

Some of the residents are disrespectful and unfriendly. Paying for covered parking and finding someone in my spot often is beyond frustrating. Others pay no regard to the non smoking indoors, are loud after hours, etc. There are several people living in a one bedroom and a 2 bedroom near me has at least 4 adults and 4 children, they're unruly.

The community is quiet everybody is to themselves, this is my second time living in this community, minus the gates.
I would recommend because I feel safe and we used to have mixers with free alcohol. Those were fun because it brought a lot of the residents together. I wouldn't recommend because the rent is high and car coverage is additional and not available on my side.

Because this place feels like home. They attempt to resolve the issue as well very kind in helping with the situation.
The community is well run and the staff and residents are friendly. I hope they don't change management companies. That usually makes apartment complexes worse.
I would recommend this community because of the leasing staff. They have been amazing! I would not necessarily recommend this community to everyone because of the lack of updates done.
Everyone that is apart of the management team at Windsong always goes above the the normal standard. As a resident I always feel as ease and safe. They accommodate all of our needs and some wants while doing it with a respectful and courteous attitude. The leasing manager is amazing couldn?t ask for better help.
I like it here I feel safe and I like the green space for my dog but a lot has gone wrong for me in the short month that I have lived here.

Viciously Attacked by very aggressive bedbugs the very 1st night in my apartment at Windsong. It was a night of terror. $3000 of Brand new furniture, my bed & brand new mattress, all my clothes and personal effects are now infested. Multiple bites on my face, arms, legs & back. They refuse to replace any of it. No concern for my ordeal or physical damage. I'm traumatized

The apartments are in a nice area, but recently the crime had been rising. Several incidents occurred in the apartment complex in the last couple of months. Additionally, their lack of communication during and after move-out left a bad taste in my mouth.

I would but I'd be honest about the cheap move in costs are because it is so outdated.

I was declined and wish the leasing professional was a bit more fourthcoming. Still awaiting my deposit back from being declined
The apartment manager and staff are great! They listen and always provide quick and helpful information/solutions when asked. I would definitely tell my friends to live in the community.
