Annapolis, Maryland's capital city, sits along the Chesapeake Bay, where approximately 41,000 residents call home. The downtown area features brick-lined streets where 18th-century architecture stands alongside waterfront communities. The United States Naval Academy commands the waterfront, while St. John's College contributes to the city's educational landscape. Residents have access to waterfront parks, including the 340-acre Quiet Waters Park, offering everything from kayaking to seasonal ice skating. The historic district remains a central gathering place, with independent shops, seafood restaurants, and the City Dock area, known locally as "Ego Alley."
The rental market in Annapolis reflects its waterfront location and array of housing options. Current trends show one-bedroom apartments averaging $2,151, while two-bedroom units typically rent for $2,430. Three-bedroom units have seen an 8.1% decrease in rental rates.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Westwinds Apartments
I lived at Westwinds for 3.5 years and was a great experience. The staff, common areas and safety made my life easy. From the beginning Alexia and Jessie, welcomed me very friendly and were always helpful. Also, Dave was great taking care of all maintenance request in such a professional manner as was always on time, and left the area impeccable. And, I cannot forget Melvin and Leticia who always were around the property making sure everything was in place with a big smile. Once I was install, I was able to enjoy the common areas been the pool my favorite, I took advantage of every free moment to be there. I was also able to have some guest and use the grill, they loved it too. Also, the new gym and social club is very fancy, I wish I still there to enjoy it. And last but not least, no matter what time of the day, that place is safe. Very nice and quiet neighborhood.

This apartment complex is overpriced for its value. The rules, regulations, and limitations on living here are vast (pool hours are short, and you are only given 5 guest passes per apartment; other guests after that must pay $5). The Westwinds employees are not helpful, and often times I feel as though they verge on the side of rude. It feels as though this complex is just a big corporation that doesn't care about its tenants and instead does everything it can to find ways to take money from you (and with already high rent prices for the value of the apartment, it is just not worth living here). The location and parking are great (a 20-min walk downtown) and service requests are always completed quickly. However, the staff here and the costs (and random fees) have disappointed me. The resident portal is designed to make paying rent easier but it is not very user friendly and often leaves confusion when paying rent. Annapolis is a great city and a beautiful place to live, with lots of great schools for kids and plenty to do on the weekends. Overall, Westwinds is not an awful apartment complex but it has continuously disappointed me. I would likely not recommend anyone to live here.
