Kensington is an artistic neighborhood in Philadelphia that offers unique rentals, partially due to the spacious studio and loft apartments available. There are also several affordable and modern townhomes for rent in town that attract families. You’ll find locals heading down Frankford Avenue to the artistic Fishtown neighborhood which is full of craft breweries and charming pubs. Check out Philadelphia Brewing Company or Memphis Taproom for some local brews. Try a cheese pie at Pizza Brain, which doubles as the nation’s only pizza museum, or chow down on bratwurst at Frankford Hall, a large, indoor German beer garden.
There are several stops on the area’s commuter rail line in Kensington, as well as plenty of bus routes to get to Center City, located less than five miles away, making this neighborhood a more affordable yet convenient option for in-city living.

Property Ratings at Westmoreland Lofts
I didnt even last two months here. Walls are thin, management was horrible to me, nothing ever was resolved. It was so bad i barely wanted to stay at my apartment or invite people over.
I hated my experience living at Westmoreland Lofts. Terrible management, terrible building, terrible security, a terrible thirteen months of my life. Run, don’t walk, away.
So many bad experiences. No only does management not care about your needs, walls are really thin. Would not recommend if you value a full nights sleep and don’t want your packages stolen every time.
I stayed there a year. Card board walls. You’ll hear every step and conversations from your neighbors. Pests are ramped and so are the homeless.
The management team is unresponsive and the building is ill maintained. I ended up dumping all my furniture upon move out because the building was roach infested. The exposed brick means you are exposed to the elements, my electricity bill for a one bed room was consistently well over $100 a month.
Please don’t be fooled by the pictures. The management team is terrible. My unit was without hot water for 29 days in the beginning of March when we still had snow. It took for me putting a ticket in with corporate compliance hotline to get someone out and they still 75% completed the job . Your maintenance tickets will go unanswered. The ground floor floods bad when it rains the trash area is terrible snd you constantly have strangers coming in the building and sleeping in the hallways . Don’t do it .

While the apartment community has undergone several challenges that have caused delays, we are committed to improving it for the better. Our new Senior Manger has been working diligently on putting new maintenance procedures and protocols in place. Still, there is no excuse for a matter like you mentioned to go unresolved for so long.
