Property Ratings at Westley on Broadway
Definition of a painted pig. Looks really pretty but in a high crime area that continues into the garage and lobby. Also, very noisy with lots of college age kids with fire alarms going off frequently and unreliable internet. I loved my apartment but the building was not safe. The package room was broken into numerous times physically as well as quietly as there were thieves who would dress up and gain access to the package room via rouse of losing their key fob. The garage was also dangerous and expensive. It was $100 extra per mo to rent a parking spot and was notorious for having tenant cars broken into. Even with the old company having a security guard my car was broken into twice in less than a year. My neighbors car had their window smashed. 9/10 random tenants I struck up a conversation with in the building who rented a spot had their car broken into. The building management did nothing to increase security or help tenants besides giving security footage to the police. Lastly, very noisy and unsavory living environment. The hallways would have the scent of weed and the elevators would periodically have vomit in them from weekend partiers. On a monthly basis, the fire alarms would go off randomly and the internet would be down. Worst of all was you could not get separate internet therefore you were inconvenienced frequently.

Great apartment complex, is in good walking proximity of Westport and the building makes me feel safe. I love the workout center and the free coffee is a great touch

Staff has been great and helpful when I have questions.Common areas around elevators need some attention. wall damage, paint and the such. Its too late for the pool but that would have been nice in the summer months

absolutely love the management here but there has been a lot of car break ins in the past two months or so. my car was broken into twice and my relatives car was stolen out of the back alley, but that comes with living in Westport. the apartment itself is great!

The Wesley offer great amenities and located in the heart of Westport . The staff is awesome and work really hard for our demands . Some of the residents are not a good fit but everything is good .

Westley on Broadway is a lovely place to live. The staff and other residents make you feel right at home. Everyone is so friendly, a perfect place especially if you’re moving from out of town. Just moved in recently. It’s a beautiful building in a cool area close to everything. The apartments are gorgeous! The walls are nice and thick so I can’t hear my neighbors at all. It can be a little noisy from the street but I really don’t mind. It’s nice background noise. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Been here three years now no complaints. Wish I had a better view but I like that this side of the building is quiet. Sometimes I wish the front office was quicker to respond when there’s an internet outage as I work from home

Overall the Westley is a great location for people ages 21-40, who enjoy a vibrant area with the night life, food, and convenience oh the variety of activities around the area. I have enjoyed my experience, but there has been a few minor things. With the garage, I would assume it would be safe, but I have had my bike wheels both stolen on two different occasions along with the other bikes near me, it can be a little chaotic at times, there’s always a lot of people at the pool and it can be hard when people bring more than 2 guest to access the pool area. However, the positives with this is that I have always been able to address any issues, and the staff have been able to help or try to help. There are a lot of benefits, and a few down falls to living at the westley, but overall I have enjoyed my experience.

Carpets are filthy and saturated with animal urine. Something is ALWAYS broken...elevator, package room, garage door, etc!! Pool is either reserved for a "private party" that calls for 200 people or so packed with heathens that you dont want to go in. Good luck getting ahold of the ever revolving mgmt bc they DO NOT answer the phone!! Theyve been making promises to fix things since they opened and went straight down hill.

Clean and friendly. Love the open work spaces! I also enjoy the amenities such as the pool, gym, lounge rooms, and the location. Being right in the heart of Westport is extremely convenient.

Westley on Broadway checks all the boxes when it comes to apartment searching. The apartment is in a great location where everything is walking distance. The building is recently built so the units are all updated, clean and spacious. The pool, pool deck, sauna and gym are just some of the amazing amenities that is has to offer. The staff and residents make you feel at home from the second you walk in which was great for me as I’m not from the area so it helped me make friends! This apartment community is just one the amazing things about it and I love living here!

The building is well built and and well maintained. Smaller well designed apartments and a lot of amenities. It's clean and the staff are very responsive.

The apartments are cute but you can tell they didn’t use great materials. A great example of this is the wall paint peels if you use command hooks and scratch very easily. The garage is nice but you have random people parking in there or people parking in your spot (that you pay $100 for a month). The garage really isn’t all that secure Neighbors are so loud throughout the day (yelling and running down halls) , so if you work from home or like a good nights rest you’re SOL. Management is nice and listens to concerns it just takes them a lifetime to answer back. Maintenance is excellent and hops on things fast. All and all the Westley is pretty mid for the price that you pay.

I would recommend Westley on Broadway for its location of the building and the interior design of the common spaces mostly.
The staff seems very polite and communicates well! The property speaks for itself.. beautiful rooms, amenities and very well kept!
My only complaint is that the addition of space heaters when my AC was out made my electricity bill higher. Is there any way we can adjust that?
We are not happy with the way the neighbors treat the place. The elevators are always dirty. People are not respectful of the building.
The area has lots of homicides/shootings very close by that would make me a little hesitant to reccomend.

Lots of noise at night if on Broadway side which some renters may not be aware or desire.
I would recommend to have a tour, see the location, the current rates/offers and which apartments are available since that can affect the "consumption" of street noise, but also compare to similar apartment buildings.
For the amount of space and location I would be better spending my money elsewhere
I moved here in late 2020 and was among the building’s first residents. My initial issues were with constant noise (club-loud speakers at 2AM on weeknights, drunken screaming/fighting in hallways, etc.). These were eventually resolved when the worst offenders stopped paying rent and were eventually evicted. Since then, I’ve experienced the following issues: 1. 3.5 month balcony replacement project (our balconies were brand-new) that turned the building back into an active construction site. Parking spots were taken away, amenities like the pool were closed, and no rent concessions were offered. 2. My personal vehicle (parked in the garage for a $95/month add-on) was badly damaged by materials seeping through the concrete seams above. The result? $4500 worth of paint damage, 3 weeks without my car, and I’m still waiting on the replacement parts to arrive. After a long battle, management paid my insurance deductible but offered no rent concession for the inconvenience. 3. When amenities should be open, they are closed because someone has rented them out or the property is doing a “photo-shoot.” They have done at least 4 photo-shoots at the pool in the one summer I’ve been here, and some of these closures have come with no advance notice (the photographer just told me to leave the pool despite the fact that it was open for use and he arrived an hour after I did). Again, no concessions. 4. Water shut off. This happens once every couple of months for several hours. 5. False fire alarms. This happens once every couple of months. 6. Rude staff. Started off on great terms, but as the issues mounted and I became more vocal (in a stern but polite way), they showed their true colors. Your best bet is to escalate to Tina the regional manager (she is actually quite reasonable although you still may be unsatisfied with the final outcome). Overall, the design and amenities are nice (when open), but this place has been very disappointing. Skip it!
The only thing is the noise - I wish the windows in the room provided more noise cancelling. The living room is pretty quiet but my room gets really loud sometimes.
I have only a couple of concerns. Safety is a general concern and difficult to address, because it a part of living in Westport. As such, it would be nice to add more security cameras, in my opinion. Building safety is excellent and I have zero complaints there. I love that the community is dog and cat friendly and staff have been very accommodating by installing several pet stations and ample pet cleaning supplies. There are some pets that are peeing right outside of the north facing fire escape exit/entry, which is tough on non-pet owners and pet owners (like me), whose furry little friends walk through the urine which is a drag. Other than that, this community is wonderful and I love living here.
