Westgate Apartments

For such a large apartment complex, it is relatively clean property and unusually quiet.

I love it here, and am so glad that I was able to get in. I am walking distance from restaurants, shopping, a neighborhood garden, friends, and a park. I am also rebuilding my burned Altadena house, and am close to the action.

The people that live here are so kind and there is no drama. Keep that type of energy and this will be a great place to live.

Used to be so beautifully maintained. Lately, public areas show disrepair, unkept. Leaks from pipes overhead in P1, P2 levels.

When I moved in to Westgate Apartments 5 years ago I said I’m never moving again and I’m hoping that still holds true to this day.

The leasing office is never open, the gym key never works, the appliances are falling apart and these imbeciles are never there.

This place is beautiful. The community here is respectful. I love that I feel like i can leave my doors unlocked here and know my packages won't get stolen. The amenities are top notch. More than any place I have ever been at. There's a pool, jacuzzi, grills, a computer room, a theater room, a lounge. There's so much here and it's amazing. Also the management is amazing. Brenda in particular made my experience moving in incredibly easy to do. She really helped me with everything. The apartment floor plan i have is amazing. Very modern, new appliances, in unit washer/dryer, dishwasher. 10/10. I love Westgate apartments.

Michelle is newer in the office and she is awesome as she gets on any issues asap. We've lived here for 2 1/2 years now and had some issues with the office staff not addressing issues more promptly. She is a breath of fresh air!

Angel, Marsha, and Michelle at the leasing office have been nothing short of exceptional in helping make my transition as smooth as possible. Very helpful, kind, welcoming, and attentive. I cannot recommend them enough!

I moved in a few weeks ago and there are two major problems: 1: While the tenant relations team members are pleasant, the team members pick up phone calls less than 50% of the time and do not return voicemail messages. 2: When I moved into the apartment, there were multiple things that were not functioning correctly. I have since put in 9 maintenance requests and, even though a full week has passed, nobody has contacted me to schedule the repairs.

I am happy with my residency here at Westgate and I will recommend it to others.

You can't ask for friendlier more professional staff than here at Westgate. I immediately felt welcomed, which went a long way to making me feel at home from day one! In addition, the location, space, and ammenities are absolutely exceptional. Thank you, Westgate!

Edgar helped us out over the weekend and we are super grateful for him! He has been amazing since he got here and always helps out! The leasing office has been so nice to us as well!

Poor staff unhelpful in resolving issues. They get you in and then forget about you. Amenities are not well maintained.

I have been at Westgate for over 2 years and the maintenance and management teams have always maintained a high level of professionalism.

Westgate is a wonderful community. People here have been really nice. The amenities are really nice to have, especially the gym and the pool. Apartments are very spacious. The greenery in the area gives a sense of comfort and cleanliness.

I enjoy my experience with Westgate community from all aspects, the only negative thing I’ve encountered so far which need to be resolved is the packages delivery stolen in building/front door

Our apartments have been through alot over the past 4 years, but our current management and maintenance team are working hard to make our home better. Thanks to Fabby & Nina for being so kind and making sure any issue I've had is resolved and made me feel like I mattered as a Resident here.

westgate apartment has poor management and too much rent increase every year. They are not following rent control. Westgate has eliminated essential and affordable housing for more profit. Very disappointed.

The experience of living at the Westgate apartments has been great. The space is peaceful and the area is extremely convenient. The grounds are maintained very nicely.The staff is very courteous and friendly and if there happens to be an issue with the apartment itself, it gets corrected swiftly and professionally. I would like to thank the staff for their work and support.

The set up of the unit is very comfortable. Especially enjoyed the washer and dryer for clothes are in the unit.

Units are nice, however the grounds and common areas have recently taken a huge hit. There is dog waste everywhere and in my courtyard, there is now food on the ground that is never cleaned up. The stairwell stinks and I have seen 3-4 different puddles of dog urine that eventually dry up and leave a stench. There is no fob to the stairwell door and it’s propped open all the time. The front gate of the courtyard is also propped open, allowing anyone to enter. I have been here for two years and am saddened to see the property decline. I put in a request for drawers to be repaired while I was out of town so the unit was empty (no dogs) and not only did no one enter during the timeframe, I’ve received no updates. It’s been almost a month and I have two broken drawers. The maintenance team has always been wonderful, I’m just not sure why this is taking over a month.

My experience at Westgate has been good. I enjoy being able to call it home. Although, I have to pay for parking it is such a joy to have a destination parking space.

I love living here in Westgate Apartments. I've lived in Pasadena for over 50 years and living here in Old Town Pasadena is great. Tons of stuff to do. Central Park is one block over. The staff is very friendly and greets you with a smile besides being helpful. I feel very safe as I can take a stroll to nearby stores and restaurants . Pasadena is a beautiful city you'll love it too.

Robbery, theft, broken elevator, callbox not working, car break-in, unkept property, are just some of the concerns living at this property. I do not recommend.

I would not recommend living at Westgate apartments. I have important maintenance issues that have not been fixed for 6 months now, living without central AC and heating. The area is noisy especially if living next to the highway (which many of the units are), windows are anything but soundproof and be prepared to wake up every morning at 5am when the sound of traffic starts. There are also safety issues and multiple packages are stolen on a regular basis, cars have been broken into and even building units have been robbed. This is supposed to be a gated community but many of the gates do not fully close and there are no security cameras in the parking lot of on the premises despite multiple requests by residents in the past. I would highly discourage anyone from living here. For the price you pay to rent at Westgate, you can find a much better living arrangement in pasadena

I have lived in Westgate for approximately 6 years and have, unfortunately, watched it slowly deteriorate in terms of cleanliness, appearance, security, vandalism and overall management. At this point in time the only positive attribute to Westgate Pasadena is the location, which is fantastic.

We need better maintenance. It is a constant struggle to get basic maintenance. Our air conditioner has been leaking literally gallons of water a day for months. We just live with a bucket underneath it. Gym equipment (bike, elliptical) have been broken since we moved in with no sign that it will be fixed or replaced. Electric vehicle charger was advertised to us as an amenity when we moved in, but it is now completely not working. Handicapped parking is often parked in by people without visible permits, and staff do not seem to enforce that issue. Packages have been stolen several times - we need a secure package delivery method such as being able to have them delivered to the front desk for pick-up. Additionally, there is no secure bike storage. Security is an issue in general and I reported an attempted theft to management but they never even responded to my message to acknowledge if they received it.

If they change the property manager and improve their customer service, I properly will say yes I will recommend friends or colleagues as part of their apartment home search.
