The top neighborhoods in Westerville are the Mackstown/Victory Camp neighborhood and the Sunbury Rd/Medallion Dr E neighborhood. The Mackstown/Victory Camp area was built primarily in the 2000's although some housing was built between 1970 and 1999. Vacancies are about 5 percent which is higher than Dublin but low in general. The area is family-friendly, with excellent public schools and a high percentage of traditional family units. Residents number among the most highly educated and most commute to work daily. About 30 percent of the residents have either German or Irish ancestry. The Sunbury/Medallion neighborhood has a lower vacancy rate, about 2.8 percent.
