Awesome/patient staff, units look as they are pictured online, move in process is a breeze
This complex is very trashy. Residents leave trash all over the place. Residents use their balconies for storage. Noise levels are ridiculous at night very often. The construction is very poor.
Management is terrible, we were told to move during this pandemic while my roommate looked for work,, there are roaches, and they don't work with you. Otherwise the apartments are ok.
Not at all happy with the apartments weak wooden construction. Didnt know that even walking upstairs could be as disturbing.
Im happy with the quickly respond and service. Done .

Very good place, location, and community managment.
Entire move in experience soured is on the property. We immediately reconsidered our decision to live here due to the poor condition of the received unit and general lack of standards of property manager.
Situated next to a great hiking trail, park, dog park, shopping center and other amenities. It is a great little spot, and a pretty great community.
Dishonest: We were supposed to move in at the end of June, but they told us we can have a $1000 discount if we move in before 6/15. We double checked this offer and have a written confirmation from them. After we changed our move in date and then they said we can't give you this discount because you're renting for 6 months, but we can waive your a $400 administration fee and $500 deposit. Ok, we have no idea where this "administration fee" from and the deposit is REFUNDABLE. If this is a discount, please remember you'll need to pay a $400 administration fee outside of your rent when apply this apartment. We then asked if we can change our move in date since we can't get this discount anyway, there is no reason we move in on 6/15. They replied NO with no explanation. Eventually we paid 12 days more rent and get $0 discount. I feel CHEATED and just want to remind the other people please keep a close eye on the offer they provide to you if you have no choice and have to live here. Irresponsible: The office rarely reply emails and provide no directions on move-in/payment/etc. We thought the rent are start from the day you move in till next whole month but didn't know it will charge on 1st. We were charged $200 late fee WITHOUT any reminders. I regret not believing another review that saying the similar thing happened when he moved out. This is the most disappointing apartment i have ever lived. I feel so bad instead of warm and welcome. Therefore, I won't recommend it to anybody. DO think carefully before you sign the lease.
1. you need to chase the maintenance to fix the problems. 2. mice and roaches are normal there and u are the one who are responsible for it. 3. be ready every day to see new manager with new rules and new maintenance and office members. they can not keep any of them in the office. 4.in front of the trashcan is always smelly and full of trashes. 5.if u get your place in the back of the community and next to lake be ready for a summer full of mosquito. 6 a lot of break in to the cars and the bikes in the community. they took 2 of my neighbors bicycle. one a single mom who bought bikes for her kids and one guy who were going to work with bike. 7. if u wrote good stuff about them dont forget to get your goody bag from the office. the community looks nice from outside not inside.
I moved into Westerly about three years ago because of how close it is to my employer. I still love it just as much now as I did back then! Service requests are handled in a timely manner, leasing office staff are always welcoming and hard-working, the grounds are kept nicely no matter the season, and the neighborhood is quiet. I have recommended Westerly to many of my colleagues and they love it just as much.
I am enjoying my stay here at Westerly. The office staff are always friendly and accommodating, even in their busiest times. If they are working with someone and I need a package, they will excuse themselves for a moment and retrieve it for me. A major plus for me is that parking is free and the community is also super close to a bunch of different restaurants. We have had a few ants in our apartment this month, but it's summer and that's to be expected. To sum it up I'd say it's a great place to live in a great location!

I really enjoy living here! The community is in a great location as it is right across from Worldgate Shopping Center and minutes from Reston Town Center. The community is always kept looking nice by the diligent maintenance staff. The leasing staff is always welcoming and friendly. They address any questions or concerns I might have in a timely manner. The maintenance staff is quick to respond not only to emergency situations but regular apartment maintenance issues as well. I will admit that sometimes I hear my neighbors but that is due to the construction and not the property management. Plus, it is part of apartment living! All in all, I would recommend Westerly at Worldgate to anyone looking for a new place to call home!

I have lived here for a year and I can say that this is one of the best places I have lived at. Not only is the location perfect, but the service and management in the community is extremely fast and reliable. For instance, I had a carpet issue and when I reached out to the on site manager, they promptly replace the carpet in my living room. Extremely happy with their quick response and action! This place is definitely recommended.

I have now lived at Westerly by Worldgate for 6 months. I moved here from FL and this is my first time living on my own. My other friends who live in the area gave me advice about apartment living which included warnings that I can expect paper thin walls and loud neighbors, inconvenient and expensive parking and office staff who just don't want to deal with me after the lease is signed. Needless to say, I was very nervous about this next chapter of my life. After signing with Westerly, I can tell you that this place has become more than my first apartment, it has become my Home. A place where I smile when I pull into the property (with abundant free parking) and see the beautifully kept grounds and friendly neighbors walking their dogs or pushing a stroller. Grounds that are maintained by an office staff who actually CARE about me. Just a few days ago I walked in to get a package and as soon as the new community manager, Galina, heard my apartment #, she said my name and shook my hand! How she remembered my name I have no idea, but it blew me away! My apartment is so warm and cozy and so much more spacious for a 1 bedroom than I ever expected, especially for the great price! To top it all off, the property is a stones throw away from groceries, gas and some great restaurants. I literally don't know how I got this lucky, but I did, and I tell everyone I meet that is looking that this is the place for them. A community that is so much more than apartments, it's home. And there's just no place like home. Thank you WWG!

Groceries,Hotel,Cinema all are walkable distance even my office too. Maintenance is very good and process is perfect.Supportive stuff and great maintenance. Even neighbours are friendly. WHAT ELSE !!! Sitting in balcony seeing the Sunset is lovable one. Facilities such as gym, indoor washer and dryer, swimming pool,car parking,near by playground.In all aspects we are happy about community..Keep smiling.
The staff here was amazing during move in. The neighborhood is quiet. It's affordable and in a very convenient part of town. We have had a few maintenance issues, but all of them have been resolved quickly.
I live in The Westerley at Worldgate in a one bedroom apartment and I pay around $1,100 with rent plus utilities. Very safe area, surrounded by office buildings and parking garages which makes me feel safe having kids around all the time. It is walking distance to a nice shopping center and just minutes from Dulles Airport and the toll road. These apartments are also on the cheaper side relative to the rest of Fairfax County housing prices.

This apartment is great. From the sleek stainless steel appliances and in-home washer and dryer to the great layout and large amount of space, this apartment is everything you would expect and more. From here, it's a 3 minute walk to Worldgate Center and a 5 minute drive to Reston Town Center. The community amenities are beautiful and well-kept. This is the first time I've rented, and hopefully any future apartments I reside in can live up to this one.
This is the perfect place if you want a quick walk to the gym, movie, restaurants and outdoor space. The common areas and apartment are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. But the garbage disposer it is a big problem here, people leave their trash outside disposer. It's drive me crazy
I moved into my 1st apartment... Ever on Saturday August 8th at Westerly at Worlgate and unfortunately here was a gas leek in my unit. I was without Gas aka stove for about 4 days. The Community Manager Meghan was very helpful and apologetic and I could tell she was doing the best she could in the situation. She compensated me for my inconvenience and rough start to my new home. The maintenance staff was uncall and handy. Although it was a rough start, I'm at ease knowing that my community has a great set of helpful and pleasant staff.
This is a nice complex nestled up to a wooded area. Decent sized rooms with ample closet space. Nice kitchen with good cabnet space. Dishwasher and washer/dryer. Thick walls so you don't hear neighbors.
Westerly at Worldgate is a cookie cutter apartment complex, but the management team is very respectful, and they respond to any issues in a timely manner. The complex is hidden back behind some office buildings and is right next to the Dulles Toll road so you would think that it's a loud neighborhood, but in fact it is surprisingly quiet. I never hear any traffic, and even during holiday's like the 4th of July the fireworks in the area are kept at a minimum. My apartment is on the bottom floor, and I rarely hear my upstairs neighbors, and never hear any of the neighbors on either side. The only issue I have is that from time to time the garbage compactor does get backed up, and some residents will just leave garbage on the ground next to it. The complex does try to clean up as quickly as possible. I would recommend this apartment complex.
This is my 1st time living on my own and the staff at Westerly at Worldgate helped me to feel comfortable with my decision to move to this area. You get so much for what you pay every month and the office hours are so much better than other properties. All in all I'm very satisfied!
So, the location of this apartment is convenient and nicely tucked away in Herndon, VA! The property managers are friendly and truly do their best to ensure the happiness of their tenants. The workout room is pretty outdated, but I believe this will be remodeled soon, which I can't wait to see. Pool is fantastic w/ communal grills for all to use. The only two problems are this: 1) Between incredibly lazy tenants and poor trash receptacles, there is trash everywhere. Most tenants seem to place their trash outside of the dumpster (?!?!?!?!). Due to this, a ridiculous amount of trash falls down the hill and has polluted the "lake/creek" behind the apartment complex. What could be a beautiful amenity has turned into a gross and smelly disaster. It is a shame too..... 2) Not the friendliest of tenants..... I walk around and say hello to everyone I see. Maybe 10% say hello back. My hopes that overtime, this will shift. I really enjoy living here and plan on sticking around for a good amount of time. I will continue to make the best efforts to have the trash problem fixed/cleaned up. As for my rude neighbors......I'll keep being me and they can deal with it.
For the most part this complex is good. When issues arise with the aging apartment they are very quick to respond except for their trash issue. I'm not sure if it is their trash system or the certain people who live there but this issue is serious and is why they only get 3 stars.
Great place to live! I've lived here for a little over a year now and haven't had any problems. Zero bugs, super-nice staff, and large apartments. I like the pool, as well. You can also submit maintenance requests online, and pay your rent electronically too. My only complaints are that the walls are a tad bit thin, but that's to be expected with apartment living, and the trash seems to overflow a bit at the compactor. Still, I would continue to live here happily if I wasn't relocating to be closer to my job! Thanks Westerly!
Westerly At Worldgate. Great location, looks looks nice at first glance. However, when you start to look closely, the cracks begin to show. My wife and I moved into our apartment in December 2013 and were amazed at how well it looked. However, after stepping out of the tub after our first shower, the tiles next to the tub in our freshly renovated apartment sunk into the ground. To make matters worse, the kitchen faucet clogged up after its first use as well. The kitchen faucet was replaced quickly, however, it proceeded to clog and have to be replaced two more times during our lease. The bathroom needed to be completely re-tiled, barring us from using our only bathroom for 3 days. It took them 3 months from us reporting the issue to actually begin repairs despite constant reminders. Our Air Conditioning unit has been serviced twice since we have moved in, and after looking at our power bill this month, we are about to report it for servicing again. The trash compactor constantly has issues and it is not uncommon to see trash piled up in front of it. However, the apartment does have gas heating and a gas stove, which is getting harder to find in this area. The pool and grounds are well maintained. There are even propane grills available near the pool that are well looked after by the management. There is a new property manager who started fairly recently who does seem motivated to improve the property and the changes are noticeable. Unfortunately, it is too little, too late for us and we will be moving out shortly. Our advice, look closely to try to see behind the curtain and be sure the place is actually how it seems.
