Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Wendover Apartments
I’ve been a tenant at The Wendover for over 10 years. The building has seen management changes, but current management is responsive and proactive. Maintenance is regular and reliable, and the team takes pride in this 1920s building. Sure, older buildings have quirks—like monthly water shutoffs for plumbing—but tenants are always notified in advance. I started in a studio and now live in a spacious 1 bed/1 bath with hardwood floors, a large kitchen, great closet space, and amazing natural light (perfect for my plants!). Each apartment is unique, and I love the character. Security is excellent—locked entry, cameras, and a quiet atmosphere. Pest control is offered free of charge and regularly. The new basement laundry room is clean and safe. Gated parking is available (at a cost), and well worth it given the tough street parking in K-town. There’s no central AC, but ceiling fans keep it manageable in summer. Location is unbeatable—close to the subway (Red & Purple lines), Hollywood, West Hollywood, and more. Overall, it’s been a pleasant experience thanks to a dedicated manager and a helpful maintenance team. 4 Stars
Ive been living here for close to a decade, moving out very soon. In the day time it seems nice enough but at night if you are awake you will see the truth. Mice fleeing across the open floor, roaches of all sizes, BED FREAKING BUGS. On top of that, there seems to be no plan to address any of the issues, there seems to be no plan for the building at all. I didn’t even mention the plumbing and elevator… do I really have to?
I’ve been here for a few years and have seen the building manager change. I’ve never had a bad experience with either manager but will say that the new building manager has definitely been making improvements to the building. It’s cleaner, there’s FINALLY a camera in the lobby and a package room (no more stolen packages). Very responsive and friendly. Maintenance is also very responsive, but if you have an emergency request after hours be prepared to wait a while as there is no one on property after hours. The rent is cheap for the area so you get what you pay for, it’s an older building so don’t move in expecting perfection.
The staff is horrible. The place has giant roaches and i still have damage to my body from the elevator being down . Staff will harass you . Never any parking . The owners of the building are even more incompetent then the terrible manipulative unprofessional people they hire . Don’t bother
