Known as Colorado’s Northern Gateway, Wellington is a small suburban town with a picturesque view of mountains. The town is known for its whimsy festivals. On the annual Neighborhood Pride Day, the entire community does a clean sweep for any debris found in town and plants trees. One of the most popular events is the Make Your Dad Sweat! Annual Father's Day Fun Run & Dog Jog. This 5k race encourages people to wear ugly ties and make donations to the local pet shelter. When locals aren’t celebrating during a unique festival, you can find them at one of the parks in town. Centennial Park offer a skate park, jungle gyms, and more.
Wellington is a great commuter city as well, with quick access to nearby towns for business and especially outdoor recreation and entertainment. The town is surrounded by nearby lakes, great for fishing and canoeing. There are many farms and ranches close to town as well, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers.
