Property Ratings at Verdean Gardens
The same reasons that may attract you to this cozy loft, may very well repel you. My funny tidbit, is that my good friend actually went to elementary school here. That's right, this renovated , historical building once educated the neighborhood children in this south end of New Bedford neighborhood. All of the apartments are quite spacious and lovely. Management is local, right up the street in fact and very friendly. Just a heads up though, to get an apartment here the waiting list can be long so when you get the call reserve it right away. Also, you will need to use a check or money order for any payments to the office, including deposits and rent so come prepared. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that there are two laundry rooms, however you have to purchase a card at the management office for five dollars and reload it as needed. So getting to my apartment in particular... I fell in love with it from first site. It certainly made me over look the fact that there is no elevator and I live on the 4th floor. Also i should add that smoking is allowed in your apartment which causes a strong, terrible smell in the hall ways. On the bright side however the panoramic view spreads from both bedroom windows, and from the living room. However, there are no screens on the windows. It truly will take your breath away every time. I enjoy the close by views of New Bedford harbor, while viewing Fairhavens borders as well. I personally love looking overlooking the new bedford homes, churches and people all from above. The ceilings are high, and slanted . The dining room and living room are open. With only a wooden beam separating the areas. I love this space. Gray new Carpets. Lots of room to use your imagination with art, decor and furniture. Nice medium/ big windows perfect size. Great for long curtains. The kitchen is hidden away, separated by a nice brick wall which it shares around the corner from the living room. The space is small/ medium, and the cabinets are unfinished. Fridge and electric stove included. The bedrooms are both great sizes. The smaller room which is for my son, has a wooden beam right in the entrance, which is due to this being the attic apartment. My room as a nice walk in closet and is quite spacious. The best part is that both rooms have a sky light each witha step up to a cute reading nook. The bath room is small, but big enough the walk through and has a nice bath tub I like the marble like counter of the sink.
