Living at uptown is like riding the craziest roller coaster. At times it’s great and you love living there and then the ride flips upside down. Fire alarms go off two or more times a week, neighbors smoke in the hallways and break gates, strangers knock on your door, pipes burst and hallways flood. Then the ride levels back out and things are okay again for a bit before you are thrown through another loop. Air conditioning units break and stay broken all summer while the office says that you are on a list to have it fixed but nothing gets done. If you love inconsistency and chaos, this is the place for you.

I love the “campus” here at Uptown Square — we have five different courtyards where you can hangout outside but still be safe in the complex! There are also community rooms where the apartment puts on events, and they are really fun. I’ve met a bunch of my neighbors, which is something I’ve never been able to do at other complexes. The events are really cool!

Experienced a lot of thievery, mainly my locked ebike being stolen from a bike storage room. That really sucked but overall I really enjoy the quality of my apartment, the amenities, and the neighborhood.
little slow on some of the fixes but everything else has been great! :) friendly staff and pretty well kept areas... if only they could fix the fab systems & elevators now!

I've lived at Uptown Square for 8 years. It's the most affordable option in the neighborhood and has been a great place for many years. Being that's it's an older complex, there are some issues in the complex that the newer and shinier places may not experience. What I love most is the sense of community, I know my neighbors and often stop and talk to them when I see them.

Apartment is fine, the parcel pending locker system is annoying that you can only get your package during select hours of the day, and the call boxes don’t work but they only give you one fob. Noise level is fine, security can improve.

Been living here 4 months the parking garage is broken and open to anyone who wants to walk in. Doors leading into the building are always propped open even though we should be using fobs to gain access to the building. Countless people have gotten their cars broken into or stolen and we’re constantly being told the garage issue is being worked on but it’s not, haven’t seen a single person out there doing anything. They seem to have an excuse for everything here.

Parking doors are hardly working for last few months , most of the door doesn't work throught Fobs anymore. People hardly pick up the poop after their pets are done with their business

It’s an up and down relationship with you all. Sometimes you hit it out of the park and sometimes the team cannot fulfill their job duties. I signed my renewal in March and even sent an email confirming this. No one countersigned it. You have 30 days for this and two assistant managers, two! Where is the accountability! I just really hope I don’t get hit with MTM fees and honestly, I debating on just putting in notice and getting out of here. We shouldn’t have to chase you all down. Like renewals only help your occupancy, we shouldn’t have to chase down our lease. I had a friend visit the office, they said no one actually appeared to be working or said hi! You have one job!

It is in a fantastic location with excellent access to highways buses and light rail services. The social events are great and frequent. It does however take a ridiculous and unacceptable amount of time for them to repair gates and doors.

Not great. We put in a request for our AC to be fixed more than two months ago and are told that it could be two more months before it is fixed. We have been given floor units for the bedrooms, but nothing for the main living space. Our average indoor temperature is 85-90 degrees, making our apartment unhabitable. Completely unacceptable.

Too expensive for what you get and for the area. Prices are going down and uptown needs to lower their rent to be competitive. Pool is not heated at all even though they say it is semi heated.

The office staff is nice and the community is great! However, not all of the apartments are remodeled. Many doors and gates are broken. Hallways look like they’re falling apart. The place isn’t very well kept up.

I’ve been here for about 4 months. The washer unit on my floor has been broke for about 3 of those months making laundry pretty annoying. Other than that maintenance requests happen pretty quick and overall clean area. Need to work on package system but it seems like they are trying.

I love my apt and the events are great. The office staff is so disorganized. Luckily, I don’t have to deal with them right now about anything (I’ve had my fair share of dealing with their mistakes though) but my friends are having to deal with them and they are being very unhelpful

The staff are all very nice and helpful and maintenance is fairly on top of everything, my only complaint is the security issues (the gates not being fixed for long periods of time, etc.) and the lack of communication about conflicts like this, it would be reassuring to know things are at least acknowledged sometimes without having to complain.

WORST MOVE IN EXPERIENCE!!! I Scheduled a tour for our apt and was told it’s under renovation for updated appliances and cabinetry. Was told “this is the exact same apt you will have when you move in.” The leasing agent showed pictures of upgraded appliances and cabinetry. We got our keys move in day a month later it was locked. They said the had a “vendor” coming in. I later talked to the manager Romeo and he said he had an exterminator coming in to kill “dead bugs” I said well we are packed, paid for the uhaul, and have friends helping me. He took us to see the apartment, outside the main door I seen live bugs, walked in and seen more alive bugs. And there was no upgraded appliances. Romeo said he will try to accommodate but never reached back. We got finessed and they did the “bait and switch tactic that is costing us $200 more a month for rent, and now have to pay for washer and dryer when it was supposed to be included. 0/10 professionalism and customer service.

I had a very challenging time with the office staff on the move in process. It seemed like no staff member in the office all the way up to the manager role could provide me the proper information needed for a smooth move in process. I submitted application and all documentation on Monday, called 36 times throughout the next 4 days to verify the documentation for a smooth move in from San Diego to Denver. After arriving onsite, we were told to sit in the lobby for 4 hours to wait for approval from a senior vice president in Dallas. We were given the keys to the apartment and the key fobs locked us out of the building at 10 p.m.; this experience was a disaster for me and my fiancé.

Although the rent is relatively affordable for this part of the city, the fact the elevator in my building has been broken for over 2 months and is in violation of ADA accessibility standards, the key fob security doors to enter the building are broken posing a risk for non-tenants to enter the building, the entrance to the secured parking garage is perpetually broken, are factors that make this community a frustrating and thus inconvenient place to reside. If I could afford to do so, I would find a community with a more attentive front desk staff and maintenance staff who care more about maintaining the integrity of the building instead of prioritizing “community events” that are non essential.
