Located in Southern California's Inland Empire, Riverside combines historic architecture with contemporary living. As the birthplace of California's citrus industry, the city features landmarks like the iconic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in downtown and the University of California, Riverside campus. Mount Rubidoux and numerous parks offer outdoor recreation throughout the city. Housing options include historic properties in the Wood Streets neighborhood and residential communities in Orange Crest and Alessandro Heights. Current rental rates range from $1,480 for studios to $2,632 for three-bedroom units.
Downtown Riverside features the restored Fox Performing Arts Center, which premiered "Gone with the Wind" in 1939. Victoria Avenue showcases the city's agricultural roots with historic citrus groves, while the California Citrus State Historic Park preserves this important heritage.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at University Village Apartments
This is a great apartment for a student looking to live right next to campus. It is literally right across from the UCR campus so all you need to do is cross the street and you are on campus. No need to worry about driving or biking to campus. The apartments themselves are very nice as far as older apartments go. You get a choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms. The rent is really cheap for being so close to campus. The apartment has 2 different pools for those hot summer days. There is laundry in the building so no need to worry about finding a laundromat. The rooms are very spacious with 2 large closets (for 1 bedroom), drawers, and linen closets. The bathroom is large and includes a bath tub. Some of the amenities such as water and gas are already paid for by the complex. There are several parking lots owned by the building so you never have to worry about finding parking or parking on the street. They are pet friendly so you can bring along your small dog or cat along. There is a pet deposit though but it is fairly cheap compared to some places I have seen. Nice management that is willing to listen to complaints you have. Some of the downsides are: thin walls, no covered parking, and no designated smoking area. Overall great apartment complex for students and families.
This is the perfect apartment complex if you want to be close to UC, Riverside. The buildings are older, but well maintained.
