Property Ratings at University Village Apartments
This is a ok place . It certainly could be a lot cleaner in the common areas such as hallways , laundry room and parking lot . Not sure who it is that needs to step it up . I am thinking it is both sides the tenant s as well as the folks that run the place . I would think everyone would like it to be a nice ,cleaner place to call home . Don't ya think that all of us need to pitch in and do the right thing . Clean up and paint it and redo it make it look appropriate.
Love loving here. Great views, friendly staff. Quite neighborhood. Good prices and responsive maintenance staff. Tons of cute dogs on property.
Nice clean friendly nice staff amenities included love it. Easy access to floors with elevator and stairs price unbeatable with how nice this place is
So far a great place to live. Nice and quiet area. Neighbors have been really nice. Love the gym and pool. I really like being so close to the shopping centers and restaurants.
Everyone has been very nice to me. And been enjoying it here. So far no problems with landlords or any with the neighbor's. Looking forward to being here for a long while.

Great pricing and beautiful neighborhood! I have some complaints about the apartment but I'm just grateful to be here. Apartment was messy and unclean when we first moved in and the shower is really messed up but it works. Aesthetic aside, everything functions.

I’ve been here 14 months now and I enjoy being here very much. Christi in the front office is so nice and sweet. The maintenance crew has always been polite and professional. Byron has recently joined the maintenance crew as the new supervisor. I haven’t had many issues that I needed to put in a maintenance request for, but whenever I have, they have always responded within a couple of days. I don’t understand when I see an online review of people complaining that certain things are broken or not working properly and that they requested maintenance but maintenance never came. This just makes no sense to me because maintenance has always come when I’ve needed them. So, if it makes no sense then it can’t be true

it is a nice place to live. Sometimes there are people that don't live here that go inside the buildings. The hall ways need to be cleaned, also the outside of pet droppings.

Overall satisfied. Regular cleaning of the building would be nice. I really hope they don't jack up my rent at lease renewal as we have been loyal tenants for almost 5 years.

Too many shady characters approach my sister and kids at night, cars that are being worked on or look like they're not running take up free lot spaces, neighbors are NOT conscious about noise after 8pm when I have my kids go to bed - overall not a place I will be staying at.

Maintenance is impossible to get, heat is shut off for weeks, and water is shut off for sometimes hours. The front desk lady is the worst at her job, idk how she was hired. She just sits there all day and doesn’t do any actual work. The entirety of the complex is disgusting, missing pieces of walls and exit signs, and is riddled with stains in some areas. There have been numerous accounts of residents reporting homeless people in the first level of the complex. The grass is never cleaned, nobody picks up after their animals. This apartment complex is HORRENDOUS, especially for the price. Also, management expects residents to use 2 space heaters as a supplement for heat in a three bedroom apartment. This is not sufficient whatsoever, as the two heaters will not reach the entire house, obviously. The electricity is a complete joke, as there are three rooms connected to a single circuit. We’ve had our fridge go out in the past, meaning ALL of our food was spoiled and had to throw away. Refrigerator is also placed across from the dishwasher, so you can’t have both open at the same time. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX AS YOU CAN!!!!!
This place is an absolute nightmare—do NOT move here! Everything about this place is a disaster, and you will regret it if you make the mistake of living here. First off, the laundry room is beyond filthy. You can see trash and grime everywhere, with overflowing bins and floors covered in dirt. It's so overpriced, and they don't even bother to mention that you need a laundry card or how to load money onto it when you move in. It costs $2 just to wash a load, and $2 more to dry it—complete rip-off. When we first moved in, the apartment was full of issues. Almost every mirror was cracked or stained, the walls and paint looked like they were done by a blindfolded toddler with no painter's tape, and one of the bedroom doors wouldn’t even lock. Several light bulbs were missing or out, door hinges were hanging loose, and the blinds were a joke—they didn’t even work. The worst part? The bathroom and kitchen sinks didn’t drain, and we had to wait *weeks* for a plumber to show up, only for him to spend hours running in and out of our apartment, making zero progress. But wait, it gets worse. The water pipes have burst three times since we moved in just two months ago. When that happens, the heat gets shut off for days. The office gave us two space heaters, but of course, there’s only one circuit for multiple rooms (including the kitchen and living room), so if you dare plug in too many appliances, the power shuts off. And good luck trying to use the microwave *and* the tea kettle at the same time. Water is also randomly shut off for hours at a time. The neighbors are equally awful, especially if you're on the first floor. The walls are paper-thin, so you'll hear every little noise from the floors above. And the area surrounding the complex is disgusting—there’s trash and food everywhere, and the hallways look like they haven't been cleaned in months, with stains all over the walls and floors. This place is a dump and completely not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live. We're moving out as soon as we can, and I strongly suggest you do the same.
They aren’t to bad I have lived a few years the front desk people are atleast kinda nd the price isn’t to bad so I can’t say to much but it’s alright I give it three stars

We are grateful for a roof over our heads..however for the amount we all pay certain amenities should be fully working at all times. It is winter and the heat is not working in multiple buildings. I could name a few other things but I don't think anything will be fixed or updated

Nice area near the university shops. Does have a lot of homeless in the area that caused some issues. Please start here quite a bit. There has been quite a bit of gunshot since I’ve been here lately. Things have seemed to settle down. I did have my car broken into once since I’ve lived here, but it was not stolen. They just went through the glove box and center console.
Love living here close to shopping and I25. Best front desk staff. Able to get help very quickly and efficiently. Able to work with maintenance people well. All around good vibes in the community

Nice apartment but a lot of things were broken or missing when we moved in. Mantience also takes awhile to fix an issue and as well as the office never answers the phone.

These apartments are a beautiful place to live. It really is a nice community. People look out for people here and treat you like family. I'm so glad we decided to move to university village.
I love living here. Any maintenance related issues are always addressed promptly. It’s made easy also for paying the rent in the property app.

For what is caused it's not worth it the place is falling apart there is zero security and zero security cameras on any of the parking and homeless and crackheads are everywhere I have been stolen from twice and they refuse to do anything about the security. There are much more affordable and better places to live.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your concerns and perspective about our beautiful community. We're disheartened by your review and distraught that you've had any negative experience while living in our community. One of the highlights of living at University Village is the location. As you are aware, we're in a great location that is bustling and so close to everything. Having said that, there is a lot going on and we have a thriving community. The safety of our residents is paramount and we do everything we can to make the place we call home the safest possible. While we work closely with local authorities to help us, there is only so much we can do to prevent every unwanted incident. We remind our residents to not keep valuables out and remain vigilant so that we can all watch out for one another. What makes this community so great is all the wonderful residents that help ensure that we all have a safe and beautiful community. We welcome you to stop by our office anytime to share your concerns and suggestions. Thank you. - The University Village Apartments Team
Do not live here. This place is a slum. The management is pathetic. Trust the other reviews you read about this place. I’ve lived in many apartments over the years and this was by far the worst experience I ever had. The AC never worked. The heat barely worked in the winter. I had pipes leaking in my pantry. It’s almost laughable how this place is still operating.

The plates have been stolen off one of my trucks, packages stolen off my porch and back patio, and out of my car. The manager, if you can get ahold of him because The office wants no part in your issues on property, refuses to do anything because it's not their responsibility. Yet, the send notices to others saying it's the property's responsibility to make your kid behave. What about the being able to use all 3 washing machines without flipping a breaker, or walking outside without setting in dog poop? What about the nasty film that's on top of the pool because it isn't cleaned enough? What about cleaning up the property after a huge storm, instead of leaving branches and debris everywhere? Why are there piles of concrete and asphalt taking up parking spaces? At least the shootings once a month stopped....

The community here is unbelievably awful. The laundry rooms are always filled with garbage, and so are the parkings lots and hallways. The walls and even floors are paper thin to the point where you can hear absolutely everything in the building. The neighbors are deeply inconsiderate- not picking up pet waste, screaming matches at 4 am, blasting music 24/7. It takes at least a month to get a maintenance request fixed, and we’ve had to send in multiple requests for the same issue (which rarely ends up getting fixed anyways). The buildings are poorly constructed as there’s constantly water issues or something broken. When complaints are made to management, they do send out a letter but it’s 50/50 if it solves the issue. I would not recommend living here if possible, especially if you have children or work from home. The complex also has a lot of safety issues as there’s been fires started on the property, heat or a/c going out at extreme temperatures, or guns fired in the parking lot. The people who work here are polite and seem to try, but it’s very clear that the issues here go beyond what can be fixed at their level.

This place is DISGUSTING. Dog poop everywhere, smelly hallways, broken glass in parking lots, overflowing dumpsters, roaches and mice, and disruptive neighbors are just a few things you can look forward to. Nothing is cleaned, nothing is fixed. Lack of heat, even in the dead of winter, will take them MONTHS to address. And forget about it with anything else. The maintenance team themselves are awesome but Management is so poor its hard to get anything actually fixed. Management is rude and terribly unorganized. Corporate does not care at all. The units are also outdated and very cheaply and lazily "updated". I came from out of state and actually cried the day I moved in because the experience was absolutely horrible, and on top of it I was moved into a filthy, uncleaned apartment (moldy food under the stove, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, crunchy carpet, etc. The works). I was fooled by their online presentation of themselves and unfortunately ignored some red flags during the move in process- don't be like me.

The worst place I’ve ever lived. I lived there for almost a year it was the worst experience I have ever had between multiple water shut off‘s sewage back up into my apartment. Heat interruptions lack of professionalism in front office. Lack of care to the property. I would advise anybody and everybody to live anywhere else. By the way yes I did say constant sewage back up’s into units! Broken glass all over property. Police there constantly. Homeless sleeping in dog spa and in laundry room.
