As its name suggests, West University is located directly west of the University of Oregon. Some parts of the neighborhood stretch into Downtown Eugene, giving residents easy access to the excitement of the city. Naturally, the area has a strong college-town feel and is pedestrian-friendly, so you’ll see residents walking or bicycling through the streets. Catering to the college crowd, West University is filled with trendy restaurants, casual eateries, cozy coffeehouses and tea shops, vintage stores, and grocers. When residents aren’t enjoying West University’s abundance of amenities, you’ll find them canoeing or dog walking at Alton Baker Park a mile north of the neighborhood. The Autzen Stadium, home of the University of Oregon Ducks, is located north of the park as well. I had a maintenance guy come by named Jeremy to fix my washer dryer unit. He was so nice and friendly! He was willing to look at other things I hadn’t submitted a ticket for while he was here too. He was quick about his work and we had some cool conversations while he was here. It only took him about an hour to do the whole process too! Super friendly and awesome. At the end he even put back all my stuff where it was and swept and cleaned where he was and the new washer.

Frequent Fire Alarms: These often required disruptive, late-night evacuations. Misleading Photos & Poor Maintenance: My unit had unfinished walls marketed as a "modern design," unlike the advertised all-white walls. The thin drywall was easily damaged, and I was charged $15 for minor scratches on the flimsy surfaces. Lack of Cleanliness & Communication: My new unit wasn’t cleaned upon transfer, and emailed to the leasing office were ignored. Delayed Deposit Refund: The deposit refund process exceeded Oregon's 31-day limit, with delays and confusion from the staff, who shifted responsibility to a third party. Final Billing Issues: I was assured I’d be reimbursed for unoccupied months, but Conservice, the third-party billing company, denied reimbursement. The leasing office provided incorrect information and was unaware of billing policies. Aside from these issues, it wouldn't be a bad place to live.

I just moved into a one-bedroom apartment and it’s been amazing so far! The apartment is HUGE! The leasing staff was also amazing and helped answer any questions I had! They really made this an easy process.

Some great people working here, the maintenance and cleaning people treat you like real people. They come in and have a conversation with you and listen to your concerns. However, the building management doesn’t care about their employees nor their residents. So many issues like parties that get out of hand could be avoided if they invested more money and time instead of wasting it on stuff no one cares about.

I advise you to do your research when it comes to finding an apartment in Eugene. Do not sign your lease until you are 100% sure you want to live here. You cannot break your lease. You MUST find someone to take over your lease if you change your mind. It’s not clearly stated on the ad, but the 2bd is not just for you. You will be assigned a roommate because this building is primarily off campus housing for U of O students. That comes with excessive noise and poor behavior. Tenants don’t clean up after their dogs, there is loud music during the late hours, and disruptive shouting from the 12th floor. The worst part about this building is the parking. There are not enough spaces for all the tenants. If you don’t get a spot in the garage, the surrounding parking is in random paid parking lots around town. Those also fill up fast. There is also no guest parking for your visitors. I would not recommend this place to people with cars, non-students, or people who like to entertain. The staff are kind but not very helpful. The apartments look nice but not built to last. The units are fully furnished, so if you have furniture you’ll have to store their furniture off site and pay for it yourself. I appreciate the security features, but it’s a little inconvenient having to use a key fob for everything. You can only pick up your packages during business hours because it’s locked to tenants. Move in was a bit of a hot mess. If you decide to move here, bring some type of cart or wagon to wheel your things in. Anyway, good luck!

I have lived here since September and signed to renew here again! I love the rooms and what they have to offer. The staff are always super friendly and always help me out with whatever situations I have going on. I would say the 12th floor is a big reason I am staying, the gym and the study rooms really help bring it all together!

Broadway is SO CUTE! I love the modern feel and all the white clean aesthetic. Management is also so nice! I love talking to them in the office on my way to class. 10/10

The Union on Broadway apartments are fun and fresh and modern. The building is secure, giving me comfort that my student is safe. They have fantastic community assistants who man the front desk, and provide assistance and support to the residents - which I love and is very helpful. Packages and deliveries are secured and notifications sent, so that items are not misplaced or stolen. The building has wonderful amenities like gym, study spaces and a spa/spool. Although l've only been in my daughter's unit, I imagine all units are similarly equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, and is furnished with students in mind. Her unit has a huge window, making it feel light and bright. There is also indoor secured parking. Finally, the on-site maintenance is very responsive and helpful when issues arise (which we've had, as happens with young adults living on their own, often for the first time). All in all, we could not be happier and could not have found anything better than Union on Broadway!

I was looking for a spot to move into that fit both my budget as well as amenities, and Union on Broadway checked every box! With the location being so beneficial and my room having everything I need, this place is perfect! I signed my lease with Union on Broadway last spring as my first apartment ever after moving out of the UO dorms, I had gone back and forth between different floor plans before signing my lease, and the team was super patient and helpful with all the questions and my indecisiveness over what would be the beat fit for me, I ended up in an S1 and my kitties and I love it here!

I was nervous about the search for housing next year since it would be my first apartment. I found Union early on and after interacting with the staff I knew it was the right choice. They were attentive to all of my questions, walking me through the legal aspect of leasing, contacting me with updated information about my application, etc. By far an incredibly positive experience throughout. Not to mention the apartments are brand new and furnished, so it’s a clean no stress move-in experience.

I noticed this place doesn't have a review yet and that's probably because it's so new, but I just wanted to come on here and say that I requested a tour and not even 10 minutes later I was given a call to get one scheduled. The person was super nice and friendly and got us a tour for this weekend. We can't wait to check it out.
