I've lived here for three years and when they changed ownership, things went downhill so quickly. They didn't hire "security" until a month ago, and it's a car that drives around a few times at night. Repairs take forever and multiple tickets sometimes. Our front door was busted for three months (allowing anyone into the building) before I withheld rent until they fixed it. But if you plan on parking in your own home on the weekends, good luck because the towing company doesn't like picking up jobs nights and are completely unavailable on the weekends, so anyone can park in our resident only spaces. And with rent going up a minimum of 8-15% each year no matter what, you'll be priced out of there in a few years. Save your money and live somewhere else.

I lived at Mill Run for 10 years. If I could rate this place I would recommend that it be condemned. There is mold throughout the apartment and you will stay sick but not know why. Management at Mill Run could care less how much you complain about the condition of your apartment. They do nothing. The driers are vent into a crawl space and the smell that comes up through the drier is horrendous. When I asked why would the drier not be vented outside I got no response. My bathroom was in poor condition and I was told that nothing can be done about it. They spray paint the tub with wall paint and it did peel away. What they will do is raise your rate. I could go on but it would take to long. There are so many other nicer places in Union NJ run don’t walk.

I have lived here for over 5 years. The rent increases as the quality of living decreases. I have had a squirrel enter my home through a crawl space in my bathroom ceiling. The space has not been properly sealed and now roaches are falling out into my tub. I have 2 unsightly and large bubbles on my bathroom wall which I called months ago to have fixed. The bubbles came from a leak upstairs and despite my many calls to the front desk, the issue has not been resolved. There are constant plumbing issues. My toliet and bathtub randomly back up with water from an unknown source. Sometimes soapy and sometimes dirty. I have a non working dishwasher that maintenance looked at once and said they would be back. The issue still has not been resolved. The women at the front desk can be rude and act annoyed when calling back to get an issue resolved. Save yourself the headache and uncomfortable living by not moving here.

DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE. BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. This place does not care about you or your health and safety. Mice and insects coming through gaps in the walls, a baby raccoon living in the crawl space, lack of communication from maintenance or anyone else. Maintenance takes weeks to come fix major issues (like the holes they left in the walls themselves) and even then leaves the job unfinished and is unresponsive. I’m grateful every day that I only signed a 6 month lease. Please save the blanket “sorry to hear that, please reach out to us” comment and go reply to the email chain that I have already started with proof of your negligence.

I'll be leaving before my lease is up because management don't care when you make complaints about your upstairs Neighbour dog keeps running around between 1a.m -2a.m in the morning. I'm up every morning because of this dog, many sleepless nights and no peace. They don't clean the hallways of the building. Good luck in the winter season for snow removal.

There's a lot to say but the most important is residents are literally not a priority here! For your money you will get a basic apartment and if you can make it out of your first lease TAKE YOUR MONEY BEFORE THEY DO. Any special accommodations or upgrades mentioned are a MARKETING PLOY. I would've gave one star but the call center reps seem to have gotten some customer service training. However there is 0 responsibility from any staff in literally any issue. The business model is essentially to take your security deposit. There are roaches, mice and regular thefts of property and even rent checks! In the event of an issue (regardless of fault or conditions) the options the business will give you is stay in your apartment regardless of conditions, pay $500 to transfer and sign a new lease (with higher prices) OR leave and forfeit your deposit. Really don't waste your money or time.

It’s all good when you first move in, but let me tell you the truth comes out the longer you live here! The rent goes up tremendously, let’s start there. Trash is all over the parking lot. Water bugs randomly pop up around the apartment! Looks the like instead of fixing the issues in the apartment, they just put a bandage over it! And here’s the kicker…AN INTRUDER INVADED MY HOME WHILE I WAS THERE! Just happened last week. I’m still traumatized! All of this rent and no cameras, no lighting, just a sorry this happened to you. I will not be signing a renewal next year. This place sucks!

Apartment searching was a struggle for me. There are so many places out there and no one seems to answer the phone. Millrun was one of the few places that answered the phone. I had the pleasure to work with Yulissa from the very beginning. This is my first apartment and she took her time with me and even scheduled a time to show my mother the model for me. She is absolutely one of the reasons I rented here. She even wished me a happy birthday a year later!

Please don’t move here ! This place has a HUGE rodent issue. When i reported the issue to maintenance , they sent an exterminator to my apartment. The exterminator put down poison and literally a few days later i saw a dead mouse in my kitchen! I called to have the mouse removed nd they told me that they don’t remove rodents nd we would have to do it ourselves! A few days later i saw another mouse! This place clearly doesn’t care about their residents whatsoever. I will be contacting the health department because this is truly ridiculous.

No peace since moving here neighbor plays music all day and night like he lives in a nightclub. Management only cares about money, moved here so my child could have access to a good school system, this is the only good thing about moving here, Rent prices are a total rip off.

Mill Run is not only cozy and comfortable but the staff is reliable. From the leasing office to the resident services. Whenever I put a ticket in the work is completed thoroughly and efficiently. Jospeh and Carlos did a fantastic job with replacing my stove. the work was completed the next day. I love how I always get a follow up call to make sure the work was completed. If I have a problem they will continue to come out and until the problem is fixed. The maintenance staff keep the grounds area clean. I feel safe and comfortable living in this complex. Communication with the Resident Service office is extremely poor. Every time I submitted paperwork to remove my name off of a lease, they told me that I missing another document that they didn’t previously specify. Street parking is horrible. Charge for lot parkin. Snow removal even worse.

Lived here for years with my family. Apartment was infested with roaches and mice. TONS of them. Nothing was done. It got so bad we had to switch apartments JUST for the next apartment to be infested with mice as well. The mice come from the basement I believe because when you search, you can find holes around the house. Many nights I heard the mice scratching. Droppings all around even in my closet! My friend who lived here experienced the same thing. I’m literally traumatized.

If I would have listened to some of the reviews that warned me to not move here before moving here then I would not be in the nightmare that I am in now! Pleading to anyone who is wishing to move to Milrun not to. *The buildings were built no later than The 1970s with little renovations since then. Each room has one or maybe two outlets so you’re forced to use extension cords all over the place really tacky. The heating system is a big box that is very noisy and takes up space for your bedroom and your living room. Because there’s a box heating system there’s no heat in the bathroom so on the winter days you’ll have to run your shower so get steam in order to have a decent temperature in the bathroom. The biggest complain are the floors they are squeaky to the step each time you take a step you can literally hear I am not kidding I wish there’s a video that I can take where I can upload to prove this. * These four family dwellings are not your typical four family dwellings. This is more like a dormitory there are reviews that states just this exact statement and I wish I really believed in and took the warning. You basically live with three family roommates. I can hear conversations from the people across for me and below me. I have giving my neighbor countless amounts of apologies because she can hear me anytime I walk and I have a one-year-old that walks as well and she constantly complains and there is nothing I can do about it because the floors are terrible and we are simply walking. I can’t be comfortable in my own home! Because I’m on the second floor I have little to no say when I call to ask Milrun what can be done about this new sense because I am inconvenience I cannot host any type of gathering at my home I don’t have company because of the bad floors and I know I will get a complaint for noise above my neighbors head. When I spoke to Monica and account services she told me to call the police if I’m feeling harassed otherwise there’s nothing that they can do. This place is a joke! My rent increased $88 in one year and I have not been happy in this whole year it is hard for me to find another place because I am unemployed due to COVID-19 so I have no income to provide to move somewhere else. Please do not be like me and feel like you could be different this is a horrible horrible place to rest your head

The apartments are really nice, the location is ideal, and the staff are incredibly accommodating. We are specifically being taken care of by Lily who is always nice and prompt with her responses. They are currently waiving my application fee for writing this review.

During snow season it's "every man for himself". Not only you have to shovel the snow yourself, one week later after a snowstorm people are still putting chairs and traffic cones in parking spots to block other residents from parking. The spots are "first come first served" with a parking sticker. I called the office and also sent emails and I was told to remove the chairs /cones myself. This was a dangerous response that could put residents in harm ways, since there is no camera in the parking lot. I think this is irresponsible and unacceptable from Mill Run.

I lived here for 3 years, in the beginning it was great. Every year the rent went up and nothing was upgraded. They have big roaches, they call "Water Bugs". When i wasn't home maintence would come into my apartment without my permission, and when i called to asked why they were in my apartment i was lied to and informed that no one was in my apartment. Even tho I found a boot print in my bath tube. The last year of me living their, my roof was leaking in the livingroom I told them about it and I was given the run around for when it will be fixed. So i went to the resident office to find out what was going on and when will the problem will be fix. I was informed by the Rep their that they don't have any new information for when they will fix the situation. So i told them i will be moving out befoe my property got damage. That same day after leaving the office I went back to my apartment and found 3 men in my apatment painting over the water damage from the leaking roof. They were in my apartment hiding the evidence that the roof was leaking 2 weeks later was when the roof finally got fix. I was very disgusted towards the end of living there and how I was treated.

It starts out so easy and nice to get in, and once you get in it’s hard to get out. Prices are raised, slugs come in to live with you as well as rodents and no parking most of the time!!!

Horrible place to live. Over charge, filthy owners let their dogs crap all over, the staff is terrible regarding your feeling except sabrina. Irvington side is treated like the slums compared to union.

Just recently move in the the apartment. Lily was extremely friendly and helpful with the information in regards to the apartment and application process. Kudos for Lily for being such an amazing and professional person. I must say that the apartment was freshly painted and clean when we move in. So far I like the area with the exception that the complex needs a rear sidewalk for easy and short walk from the parking lot to the apartment.

I’ve lived here for 2 months. The application process was smooth and easy. The apartment itself was nice for the most part. My paint on the doors are already chipping and it’s probably because 1. They didn’t take their time and 2. My door barely closes so I have to slam it. The hallway looks very old and isn’t pleasing to eye when walking in. I wish they could change the floor and carpet. The stairs look old and dingy. The walls are extremely thin, I hear their conversations, the tv & tantruming child daily. A warm shower makes my fire alarm go off. My washer works poorly. You have to do super small loads. Tore my sheets up. Some of my outlets don’t work in my dining room/kitchen. Having guest over is the hardest thing possible because of parking. There are so many yellow lines & handicap spots so less resident parking which means good luck having guests find street parking. It’s to the point where my guests park blocks into union and I pick them up in my car to get to my apartment. I also don’t feel safe here. Every other day I see glass on the ground from a break in to cars. They don’t even have cameras.

I came to visit Mill Run on two separate occasions and the apartments appear to be great. Yulisssa was assisting me and was wonderful. I am a new resident at mill run union for about one month so far I’m loving the complex.From management team to neighbors has shown me good hospitality.The maintenance here is quick and friendly not to mention the garbage removal.My kids are loving it with the huge space to run around.Overall I would recommend this complex to anyone.

I found this complex via Apartments.com as I was searching for a quality apartment at a decent price in New Jersey. I was moving from Massachussetts and had never lived in New Jersey before. From the first moment I reached out to them, they have been extremely responsive; above and beyond what I have expected. Specifically, I have been in contact with Yulissa at the leasing office and she has been absolutely the best. She has held my hand through the whole process and has ensured that everything has been set up for my July 1st move in date. The apartment I will be moving into looks amazing, with wood cabinets in the kitchen and a washer/dryer in the apartment. If you're looking for an apartment in and around this area, look no further than Mill Run at Union.
