Flytown is a bustling urban neighborhood just minutes from Downtown Columbus. Diverse and distinctive, life in a Flytown apartment will provide ample opportunities to enjoy nightlife, sports events, historic sites, and a pedestrian- and bike-friendly neighborhood. Flytown was named because it seemed to appear out of nowhere. Homes "flew up" overnight in the mid-19th century as more and more residents came in search of work in the nearby factories.
Flytown neighbors the Arena District and Victorian Village, two other unique neighborhoods in the Columbus metro area. Tree-lined streets, historic architecture, and major events like concerts and sporting events surround Flytown. Goodale Park is known for its annual music festivals, while Nationwide Arena is a hotspot for professional hockey, big-name bands, and cultural events.

Property Ratings at Trotters Park
I first moved into Trotters spring of 2022? I think? In the first 6 months things were fine. The property manager and maintenance was timely and respectful. Then the property was sold to AMC. Apartment Management Consultants. Which operates 150k+ units in 26 states. To think that this group of financial management consultants would in any way serve the needs of the tenants, is laughable. This property is controlled by a profit driven mandate. Services are cut, property standards fall. They will eventually sell this property to another group once they've plundered 20x their investment from the people of this community. Do not come here. Constant management turnover. Disregard for material circumstances of individual tenants. Universal programs that are deployed across their entire network of properties that function poorly, are designed to infuriate you, extract money from you, demoralize you. This kind of plundering capitalism that takes place in our housing market must be squashed out. Do not come here.
Living at Trotters Park is like signing up for a reality show called “Survivor: Apartment Edition.” Let’s start with the hidden fees—$40 a month for a washer and dryer that plays hide-and-seek with functionality, and another $40 for “common area electric,” which is really just an invitation to watch your money disappear. Prepare to shell out $50 for parking—$100 if you want a designated spot. Add $150-$200 a month for your unit's electric, and you’ll quickly realize this isn’t a lease, it’s a heist. Let’s talk about that mandatory $90 a month for Spectrum cable and internet. Opting out? Not an option—this is a one-way ticket to Overpriced Town. Mold behind the shower stall? Oh, that’s just Trotters Park’s way of offering you a homegrown science experiment. And don’t even think about maintenance; you’ll be lucky to catch someone in the office—turnover is so high it feels like a revolving door. If you dare to approach the property managers with an issue, brace yourself for rudeness; it’s their favorite pastime. If you’re still reading this and are somehow still considering Trotters Park, do yourself a favor: take whatever price you see in the listing and add an extra $370-$470—if you don’t have pets. That’s right, the advertised rent is just the starting point in this financial funhouse. In summary, if you’re looking for a place that gives your finances a run for their money and your peace of mind a swift kick out the door, welcome home to Trotters Park!
Great little community. Very convenient location. The apartments are a great value for downtown living. Office staff is very nice and always helpful. They have gone out of their way to grab my packages that were delivered while I was out of town. Small, fun resident events. While I haven't had the need for any maintenance items, their tech is very nice and always acknowledges me. I read the other review and while I agree to a point, this is apartment living. You should anticipate hearing a minimal amount of noise as you will in any apartment in Columbus. As for the package delivery, that is on the carrier. It should not be reflected in a review of the community as they have no control over delivery guys that don't care to do their job properly!
These apartments are cheaply made. You can hear everything in your neighbors apartment and the people above you. There extremely overpriced. Packages are delivered to the wrong doors consistently.
Property Manager at Trotters Park, Responded To This Review
We are sorry that you have had a less than desirable stay with us. We pride ourselves on making sure your stay is pleasant, please feel free to reach out to the leasing office if there is anything we can help you with. As far as the packages, you are more than welcome to have them sent to the leasing office and we can accept them for. If you have an issue with a specific carrier's delivery, we can help you find a contact to address your concern. ~Jaime
