While I don’t live here, this apartment is definitely one of my favorites since I’ve been hunting. It’s a great and growing area and the complex itself has a bright and friendly energy. Glen in the office gave me a tour and I definitely recommend if you want a fun tour with good humor! The units have plenty of storage without the annoying tech bro built-ins (like built in desks) and hard floors throughout. Highly recommend checking it out.

Great location and community and the amenities are exactly what I was looking for. Staff still has the good customer service first feel that is hard to find in most places these days. Trailhead is a great property that has a lot of nice updates and features to the property. The location is good since it is very close to 183 so you can avoid taking I35.

Gentlemen at front desk and management are very nice. Great amenities, perfect location for us, and we're very appreciative of the occasional community activities--it's always great to meet the neighbors through these. Issues with stolen bikes (that management doesn't address with the community) and packages left outside (that management addresses, but the "system" of handling these remains broken) are the only problems we've had so far. Negligent dog owners, and noisy neighbors you hear through paper thin walls and ceilings just comes with the territory of living in a "fun & young" apartment community. That's all fine for us, but prospective residents should be aware of this before considering living here.

I have been trying to think of how to write this to be helpful, instead of disgruntled and frustrated, but it is tough y'all. I have never dealt with the incompetence, lack of communication, safety issues, and gaslighting that takes place regularly at Trailhead. Let's start with the incompetence, it seems as though everyone in the front office share a single brain cell and the person with it, often forgets to leave it behind for the others. Prepare for a deer in headlights answer or no answer at all. Lack of communication is next, after i submitted my 60 day required notice of moving out, I did not hear back from them until 2 days before I was due to be out. This includes asking for confirmation that they received my notice, questions regarding expectations of cleaning/maintenance, and a request to walk through my unit with a representative before I left (do not let them stall you on this as they will stage it so they get every cent of your deposit, something I did not think would be an issue). SAFETY is next as these are in no particular order. Parents, this is not the place for your college aged daughter, or son for that matter. A resident was assaulted while walking their dog in front of the property, multiple cars broken into regularly (mine too), pedestrian code was requested to be changed quarterly (it was changed once during my year stay), and I had to chase someone off from scaling the gate at 10am on the Saturday morning before I moved out. Management's answer to all of this is to park a stationary car with yellow blinking lights at the opposite end of the property. My answer was having to carry when I walked my own dogs and that is just not a way I want to live to feel safe. I will end with their style of problem solving and community engagement is that of gaslighting. If you enjoy responses that start with, "I'm sorry you feel that way," then this is the place for you as they will avoid any accountability and make it seem like you're at fault. -10/10 would not recommend.

From mismanagement nightmares to the illusion of safety in what's billed as a "luxury community," my two-year tenure here has been anything but luxurious. All these positive reviews are monetized with new resident offers. The amount of aggressive positioning to leave reviews - offering of spiffs to try and lure in more victims - it's disgusting. Let's dissect the façade, starting with the revolving door of management. In just two years, we've seen the management baton passed three times, with Wood Residential stepping in most recently, promising fixes to ongoing alarm issues that have become as persistent as the mismanagement itself. Despite their so-called solutions, the problem merely hops from building to building, leaving residents in a constant state of unease and dissatisfaction. Communication? Virtually nonexistent. Solutions? A carousel of excuses, shifting blame between the system and the tenants with no real resolution in sight. The grand irony is the return of former management teams under the Greystar banner, promising yet another round of system overhauls and portal changes. It's a cycle of incompetence that would be comedic if it weren't so tragically affecting residents' daily lives. The community's descent into a state where open drug dealing on patios is normalized, and the stench of marijuana battles with that of garbage and dead roaches for dominance, is appalling. This is far from an "urban hotspot," and miles away from anything resembling luxury. Safety and security are non-negotiable aspects of any living situation, yet here, they're treated as afterthoughts. The slow response to critical issues, well beyond the reasonable expectation of a week, highlights a disturbing disregard for resident well-being. To potential residents lured by the illusion of grandeur and promises of a "luxury community": steer clear. What lies beneath the surface is a reality marred by predatory practices, a blatant disregard for resident safety, and an environment that contradicts every definition of "home."

Homeless encampment directly next to the property with people lighting fires near a dry wooded area. Lackluster gate security (manual keypad that anyone can use to get in). Rise in car break-ins and theft. Someone will probably get stabbed/robbed near or on the property soon. Oh and the fire alarms are broken and have sometimes decided to go off at 2am on a Saturday morning.

A lot of good things about this place (amenities, pool, dog parks) are overshadowed by the negative experiences. In general, this area is not the best. The park across the street has a bunch of homeless people living there. My car was broken into two different times overnight. The fire alarm went off at least 15 times in the year I lived there. They have Amazon delivery lockers but they fill up quick so Amazon will just leave your packages on the ground outside of the lockers and then they get stolen. The entire staff changed multiple times throughout the year because the complex was bought out multiple times. Some folks in the management office are great while others are just cold and robotic so you never know who you're gonna get.

Staff is great and always welcoming . They actively send out updates about anything going on at the apartment that may effect us. The amenities are well kept and cleaning is done on a regular basis.

Trailhead is the perfect Austin apartment complex. The community is unmatched, it's so close to so many outdoor activities, and it's right in the heart of the coolest part of Austin - the East Side. You can't go wrong with any unit at Trailhead.

Moved in just over a week ago and loving it so far. Great layout of buildings and premises. Unfortunately, a little far from downtown, But close to a lot of hot spots here on the east like Central Machine Works, Grizelda's, and Lustre Pearl East.

My review would be 5 stars for the actual property! But less for the price. Especially for the OG renters here like me that are getting priced out. I’m a teacher and barely qualified for the special first person sign-on rate. Then they wanted to raise my rent to something I could never afford in any profession for less than 6 figures. I eventually could talk them down to the highest rate I could afford without being homeless. I love living here, but I feel undervalued as someone who has lived here and been a perfect tenant.

My experience at Trailhead has been wonderful. Any issues or concerns that I’ve had, we’re immediately attended to by the mgmt staff. As a single female, safety is important to me and to date, I haven’t had any issues. That being said, please know that living in this part of town will be eccentric and expectations should reflect that i.e be smart about leaving doors unlocked and valuables on your patio. I’m very fortunate to have great and respectful neighbors. Overall I’m very happy with my decision to live here and the property amenities are beautiful.

Absolutely amazing living experience, love living here! The units are new and very high-end at a price point that is extremely fair in today's market. Park nearby is a great bonus, amenities are incredible (was able to cancel my gym membership when moving in), and all-in-all one of the hidden gems of Austin. Love living here, keep it up!

I am absolutely loving being a resident at Trailhead. The apartments are beautiful, pool and gym are really convenient and aesthetically pleasing, and the management team has been approachable and easy to work with. I appreciate the organization and time that goes into organizing the package room, marking each package to make it easy to see which packages belong to which apartment, and how attentive they have been to any issues I have had thus far. While I haven't interacted with any of my neighbors yet really, everyone here gives off a warm and welcoming vibe and I am looking forward to getting to know people more.

Couldn't be happier with my decision to move-in here. Office staff are amazing and helpful leading up to the move and in the first couple of weeks of living here. The amenities are top-notch (gym with everything, awesome pool area) and the area is up and coming, plus, I haven't had to get on 35 since moving here! :)
