Tradition Pointe

I have to say there has been a positive shift in management. I feel like things are taken more seriously and they really listen. I still wish we had more security, but hopefully someday we can work on that.

Recently our water heater was having issues and the maintenance staff came to fix it right away. They have always been very friendly and prompt when fixing any issues.

Underground parking is fantastic Apartment is roomy Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently Would like more sound proofing between the floors.

Nothing special or outstanding about the apartment community. It’s ok need some upgrades to the unit like better sinks, these are shallow old school sinks, need upgrades to the floors. Needs upgrades appliance. The only thing I really enjoy is the heated garage and elevator. Over all just ok.

Our experience since moving here has been everything we hoped for. Peaceful and well taken care of. We have no intentions of moving any time soon.

We have lived here for a while and as any place there is up and down times as a company. One plus is there was some lawn care changes and when it snowed the snow crew was here early enough for the morning 7am people to safely leave without being stuck in the snow. Another change that has been positive is that higher ups are being more proactive when issues have arose and are quicker to respond to the issues. We still have a lot of people that are not following the rules or not keeping the apartment complex secured but it's gotten better since we moved in.

Nice, clean, convenient place to live. Allows dogs and residents are genuinely friendly to each other. The location is situated in a nice location to grocery stores and shopping. Would recommend.

Overall, staff has been improving on getting to maintenance calls quicker. General up keep of the building is cleaner and the clientele they have been renting to has improved. Hoping for more amenities or mailing improvements in future.

Office personnel are always attentive and helpful . Maintenance responds quickly and courteously to repair requests and concerns, I appreciate that the hallways are vacuumed and elevator is mopped weekly.

I LOVE living here it is the best place I have ever lived. From location to Office staff to maintenance to price to amenities, it’s just amazing!

Very nice apartment. Roomy 2 BR. Convenient location. Underground parking. Excellent view. Has hardwood floors and carpet. all Electric. Easy access to the community.

My experience with Haverkamp Properties has been great. The staff is really friendly and always willing to help you and find ways to make something work for you. They organize activities to create a community. They tend to maintenance reports as soon and they can, and are truly interested in our comfort as residents. Rocío :)

Love the peace and quiet this place has to offer! We have young children and go out to the walkway behind our apartment often for them to ride their bikes and play with chalk. It's nice feeling like they have a safe space to play despite the fact we technically don't have an actual yard.

Love the location. Apartment is very well insulated so you really don’t here noise. Would be nice if people that take their trash out and it is leaking everywhere should come back and clean it up for safety of everyone.

The management was great when I moved in and has since went down. They say they care about TP but then when a issue comes up they make up 500 excuses or want you to have photo proof. They also claim to have all these amenities but TP has nothing: no security, no dog area, no pool, no gym, you are paying to receive nothing ! They also bow down to tenants who have been here 2 weeks but any loyal tenant who has been here years they treat like garbage. Pros- the space in the apartment is great. Cons- most everything else as described above.

Great location. Very clean neighborhood. Responsive maintenance crew. Spacious unit. Quiet community. Easy commute to the city. Overall a good experience.

One of the nicest and most welcoming communities that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Everything is always so clean. Everyone is always so eager to help. Absolutely love it here.

We have had a very positive experience living here.it is very quiet, we love our apartment and appreciate the quick response for maintenance issues.

The staff and the maintenance people are very friendly and prompt in fixing things. Neighborhood is relatively quiet, everyone is nice. And it is very animal friendly.

Great property, good location, great staff. Like the extra storage options snd the elevator. Maintenance is prompt and responsive. The management seems to care and listen to suggestions too.

Nice, clean, great customer service. When you need something fixed maintenance is on it. I do wish we had more security cameras in hallways and outside in parking.

We have lived at Tradition Point for the last 3 years and have really enjoyed how quiet it is. We have 3 children now and having a quiet apartment that doesn't feel like an apartment has been super important to us.

This was once a very nice and secure place to live. They have done nothing to better the building. They have taken out all the security features by not replacing the security doors so everyone who is anyone can just come and go as they please, including homeless people sleeping in the garage. It is a very loud and rambunctious place with all sorts of foot traffic going in and out of the building. With all the security features being taken away and no improvements to the building they still continue to raise rent and find new ways to charge tenants for things that were once part of your rental fee. Dogs bark all day and nothing is done about it. The front desk people are rude at best and could care less about tenants concerns. Maintenance has been prompt and the only nice thing about living here.

So far, I have found out it starts out good. They will ONLY address necessities. Mail theft? Not their concern. Picking up equipment they left in your unit “Oh I’m sorry, we’ve been really busy” after reaching out twice over 2 months for a task that takes 5 minutes or less. Don’t expect a follow up call even if they said “put faith in me and give me a week or 2” and that was 5 weeks ago. Oh and they will “encourage you to look elsewhere” instead of doing better for their residents.

This place has been exactly what I wanted for myself and my family! Even with little inconveniences like not having onsite management. The management team still does it's best to accommodate us in everything we need.

I like the safety I feel with locked garages, community involvement and responsive management. Complex is clean, well as clean as can be with people living there. Wish every tenant had pride in their home area.

Been here since 2019 and have great experience with office and maintenance! People are friendly and helpful. The few residents that may be obnoxious, they are addressed by staff.

I moved here over ten years ago not knowing how long I would stay. I found that the amenities such as the extra storage space, underground parking, and elevator are the amenities that keep me here. It is a great central location to almost anywhere you want to go in the metro area. I would give five stars if the building had a totally secure entrance and more outside lighting.

T.P. is a great location for work from home peeps. Nice and quiet and the fiber internet keeps me connected all day long. I also enjoy the Aspen gym membership.

We love it here. Nice and quiet and roomy. The price is excellent too. Sometimes we feel there are too many dogs, and owners aren't resonsible

Good complex just lots of turn over and management changes so often rules can not be enforced. Amenities are decent like having washer dryer in apartment but dislike how we have to pay for so much more and have lack of management enforcing rules and getting more amenities taken away every time we go to renew or hear new rules being in place every few months.

Overall Tradition Pointe is a good place to live. We live in a 3bed 2bath and we feel the price is fairly reasonable for all the amenities that are included and with the market being what it's currently at.

Overall, I have had a really great experience living here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I have had a few packages taken and nothing was done about it.

They say to pay more for more Maintenance and there’s not enough. there is a lot of garbage in the parking lots before they washed the parking lots below but they don't anymore??

Not a bad situation. Quick and easy application process. The place has a few issues but maintenance seems responsive. Nice size floor plans.

Took our security away. Took our DirecTv away, but they RAISED the rent. Not much for amenities at this complex. No pool unless you want to drive to North Ankeny, no fitness room. Look elsewhere!

I lived at Tradition Pointe from 2014-2022. In the seven years that my partner lived here, we've had several issues, from neighbors to maintenance. Plan on your AC breaking every other year, if not every year. You'll need to be a strong advocate to get them to listen to you about getting things fixed but they'll eventually listen if you're a strong advocate about it. There's a fair amount of door slamming (all year round) but it's normal apartment living. HUGE shoutout and kudos to Brady with maintenance. He's worked tirelessly and advocated for our HVAC unit (and a couple of other minor things that, again, come with apartment living) and has been nothing but a gem to work with. In the years we lived there, I think there were 3 (maybe 4?) different managers and assistant managers - so there's a LOT of turnover. Because of that, apparently, there aren't records kept. So don't expect to get any of your deposit back. Keep meticulous records and photos of EVERYTHING - back up all of the emails and messages you receive through the apartment portal because you'll lose access to that immediately when your contract ends so if that's where your written confirmation is, you're unable to use that to back up any claims. If you want to see any of your $500 deposit back, get it all in writing twice and take extensive pictures at move-in (including a picture of your move-in walk-through form).

Honestly was a very nice place, Jason the Manager was probably one of the best property managers I've ever dealt with, he always wanted to make sure his tenants needs were met, only issue I had was rent was a little higher than most places, but to have a washer and dryer in the unit and water was included in the rent, as was trash, cable/internet, a parking spot underground, and storage shed, really the price was actually reasonable. If I had the choice we wouldn't have moved, but would live here again. We have actually contemplated it.

We’ve been living here now for a number of years. Apartment living has its negatives (noisy neighbors, thin walls), for sure, but there is a lot to like here! The staff is super responsive and kind and the amenities are top notch. It’s hard to justify ever moving when internet, health club, water and satellite are included in rent. I also appreciate the underground, heated garage and elevator! My only complaint is that I’d like a bike rack installed — which isn’t a lot to complain about. I’d recommend this for small families or young professionals. It’s located in a great spot in south Ankeny and there’s easy access to downtown Des Moines via Second Ave and it’s right off Oralabor.
