Westerville combines suburban comfort with historic character throughout its 12.6 square miles. Home to Otterbein University, this Columbus suburb features tree-lined streets and well-maintained parks. The rental market remains steady, with current average rents ranging from $1,007 for studios to $2,034 for three-bedroom homes. The historic Uptown district along State Street offers local shops and restaurants, while the Polaris area provides contemporary housing options.
Westerville's rich history shapes its present-day character. As the former headquarters of the Anti-Saloon League, the city earned the nickname "The Dry Capital of the World" during the Prohibition era. Today, the community offers diverse housing choices, from historic properties near Otterbein University to modern apartment communities in northern Westerville. Residents enjoy an extensive parks system with walking trails throughout the city.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Townhomes at Blendon
I lived here because I moved last minute due to an emergency. This place had an opening. I toured and it seemed old but fine. I don’t find things not looking perfect and being old. Pros: -Office staff is friendly when you go talk to them. -They usually answer emails. Maintenance man usually comes within a couple of days. -lots of space for the price -charged a fair cleaning price for move out Cons: -them saying they have AC or heat is the biggest scam. Ours never worked.if it was 90 outside it was 88 inside. When we submitted maintenance requested they came and didn’t do anything that changed it. Eventually the maintenance man left a note on our door saying it’s trying its best. When we turned on the AC, our electric bill was UNGOLDY high. Talking over $300. Called the electric company and they told us that was normal for our apartment. We just turned it off, no point in paying that ridiculous amount for something that doesn’t work. Heat also didn’t work in the winter. Had to buy a mini heater because it was in the 50s in my room. -had a problem with a bird in my ceiling. Chirped non stop for HOURS every day. They spent a week trying to figure out what house had the entrance to the attic (how do you not know that???) only for them to find out their isn’t one. Told me they were asking higher ups if they could cut into the ceiling. Never heard back. Nothing ever happened. -not the office’s fault but we had major skunk problems. Couldn’t go into the basement for days and all our stuff smelled terrible. The office could never find where the skunk smell was coming from. Offered to pay for cleaning supplies that were needed. Wasn’t possible to get the smell out with those. -car got broken into. Obviously not the best area. -stove is so old it barely worked. Our stove top caught on fire once when we turned on the oven. -convinced the fridge just wasted energy. It worked. Seal so old almost certain that contributed to our electric bill problem. -they recommended a dehumidifier for the basement. We had a heavy duty one and still got mold. The price was fair for the square feet we got but not fair for the quality we got. Moved out as soon as I could break the lease. The no AC was just unbearable. I can’t imagine the cost of buying my own window Ac and paying to run that all day.
My apartment was amazing upon move in. The community is safe and peaceful with a great school district. The property manager recently organized a community event that me and my family really enjoyed. The maintenance staff is always helpful. In light of these positive experiences,, I wholeheartedly recommend Blendon.

Do not ever and I mean ever move here. I had mold in my basement and bedroom. They patched a whole up in my bedroom before I moved in. Whenever it would rain it would rain in my room. When I called them to fix it they came two weeks later and just put some plaster over it. I repeat do not move here worst place ever. All they do is write letters, they don’t fix anything.
My husband and I lived at Blendon Square for about 2 years. The only reason we left was due to the fact that we bought a house. We had a great experience at Blendon from the day we moved in. Jamall is SO wonderful and helpful, as well as everyone on the team. We rarely had an issue, but if we did they would send someone to fix it the same day and very quickly. Nice pool for the kids in the summer and a great little gym that you can get a quick workout in; made living here so convenient and enjoyable. Affordable and nice town-homes with a ton of space and very well-kept. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a new place to stay.
The leasing office staff are rude and disrespectful. The place is bug and roaches infested. Maintenance are also rude and has the audacity to question your complain of a leakage or a malfunctioning appliance. I will not recommend it to anyone. Bad management. I had lived here since 2007 and never experienced bad management like this. They keep increasing rent every year whether you sign a lease or not.
I've been living here for a year and a half now and I must say this is one of the best communities I've ever lived! Very quiet family oriented community where you definitely get spacious townhouse style home with finished basement. It's very difficult to find rentals with finished basements especially at the value Blendon Square offers! Great pool and fitness area makes this a great area to live!
My boyfriend and I moved into Blendon Square town homes this past Spring 2015. Jamall the onsite office manager was extremely helpful and professional. We were on a time crunch and Jamall made sure to work with our time schedule and get us approved and moved in within 2 weeks. We like how clean the pool area is as well as having very comfortable lawn chairs! The entire property is well maintained and quiet. It's a great location close to 270 access and lots of parks nearby as well as a small playground on the property. We have had issues with some of our electric outlets not working and the drain draining slowly in the laundry room in the basement but have had no major issues or complaints.
