My experience with THEA has been one of the most difficult journey that I experienced so far. While they have strengths and weaknesses, the weaknesses overwhelmed me beyond reasonable doubt that gave me no choice but to find a better place for myself and my partner. This complex looks high-end from the street, but in my experience, once you’re living here the underlying issues become apparent.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The cost of living here does not match the experience. Management and leasing are unresponsive and disorganized. The building constantly reeks of marijuana, maintenance requests are rarely handled properly or in a timely manner, and units are not move-in ready despite what you’re promised. Resident and guest parking is outrageously expensive, and to make matters worse, 90% of the EV chargers don’t even work. Overall experience: 0/10. Look elsewhere.

No hot water again for the second day in a row. This is about the seventh or eighth time it has happened this year, and there has been no communication whatsoever about when it will be restored. It’s truly awful. Live here if you want to pay for an expensive luxury apartment with no hot water.

THEA amenities are the best in DTLA. There is always plenty or room to BBQ, access the pool and walk your dog. The people in the community are all kind and enjoy the space.

I enjoy residing at Thea. The Concierge Staff is attentive and resourceful while the Maintenance Team is amazingly competent and extremely efficient. Thea is by far the most luxurious apartment community in DTLA hands down!

Front desk, maintenance and Wynette are awesome. Accounting and back of the house are pathetic and you should be embarrassed. This used to be a high end building. Now we just pay high end prices and get low end back of the house service.

It's my first time living downtown and I'm loving it! The residents and community are so welcoming. Also, the amenities floor is amazing and it makes you not leave the building. Best decision so far.

I’ve only been here in THEA for a week but so far, I’ve been nothing but impressed with the building, management, and staff. The quality of the units and amenities is really a work of art. But most importantly is the staff of THEA, they really are the back bone of this building. The customer service and quality of work they provide is truly magnificent. Great job THEA!

THEA is a property with all the potential to be a luxury building, but falls short of those expectations. I've lived at luxury building in New York City for many years. Some of those properties were even Greystar building. This property is not like those in NYC even though it desperately wants to be. On the outside its a polished building with endless amenities, but located in Downtown Los Angeles already sets THEA back. Once you mix in the residence of the community and the lack of respect they have for the building you start to see the full picture. In 2023 THEA has a death in the building as the result of a gun shooting. The community common areas are being taken care of my the THEA team, but the residence continue to treat the space poorly with little to no respect. Dogs are in the pool area, weed small in the hallways, and no validated parking for guests. As I said I lived in Greystar luxury buildings while in NYC and those exceeded my expectations. From the package concierge who you can connected with at all hours of the day or night and not have to use a lock box to the cleanliness of all the community areas and most of all, the management and property team who made sure everyone know to keep things in order and to make it the best property possible.

The building is beautiful and the leasing staff is super nice which is always a selling point for me personally. Having support in anyway during a move is great since moving is high on the stress list. I myself moved across country and appreciate the ease of leasing the apartment with the team.

Natalyt and her team do a great job at handling move-ins and helping with getting everything set up so that you can get moved in and settled. The front desk staff do an amazing job at always answering calls and concerns, special shout out to Will, John, and Dawanda. They do an incredible job. And also the maintenance team here does a very good job. Security keeps us all safe and the parking garage secure. Definitely feels like a safe place overall. TY

Overall, I love staying here. The people working at Thea are so wonderful. It has a beautiful gym, pool, theater, etc.. I appreciate Thea gave us new furnitures on the 9th and 27th floors. Overall, the apartment complex itself is great. Everything is usually clean and the staff is nice. However, this review is mostly regarding the management staff. I have lived here for almost 5 months and still don't have access to the resident garage. I have been following up with the leasing staff and management about biweekly without even so much as a response or update. It has now gotten to the point where something was stolen out of my vehicle, since it needs to be parked publicly. I'll keep posting updates (should I receive any) in this review, but it's not looking good.

I don't think I can express how amazing living in this building is. I have never had a poor experience while here. The amenities are top notch, the units are extremely well crafted and the staff are the best in the business. From the security to the maintenance crew, to the front concierge, everyone excels at making this the most beautiful and luxurious place I have ever had the pleasure of calling home. I have to personally shout Caitlin who has been there at every point in my residency and truly gone above and beyond in every facet. She is one of the hardest workers in the biz and will make your experience unforgettable. I can not thank her enough for the time, effort and care she puts into her job. Otherwise I would love to shout out Rhondi, Darell, Trey, Alfred and Jerome as well as all the other love and amazing people who continue to keep this spot sparkle with their dazzling personalities and hard work. If you want a sanctuary to call home in the heart of.a chaotic city like DTLA, this is the place for you. This spot is truly a paradise.

I would not recommend moving into this building. You are given so many great features at the time of signing the lease and in the end nothing actually happens. No events, no bar, no steam room, no guest parking passes etc. There are too many new buildings downtown to subject yourself to this.

Thea is poorly managed, multiple break-ins, bikes stolen, neighbors give friends access to garage to commit opportunistic crimes, Maintainence is a joke. Go elsewhere. This is a miserable place to live.

Beautiful building inside and out. Love the amenities of pool and exercise room. Mia and concierge are very friendly and responsive. Unfortunately noise level from shared walls apartments is terrible and this is what would keep me from renewing my lease. Peace in my home is very important and I don't have that right now.

Come and Live at the Thea is you can appreciate: 1. plumbing issues 2. the outrageous guest parking situation. 3. gate rarely working 4. lack of communication and the gate, maintenance at the gym or issues with water 5. the fact that there's no cart at Valet when we return from Costco with our weekly groceries 6. the fact that the gym is not regularly cleaned and reset every night or morning. 7. Not to mention the condition of the steam room which is just disgusting. Do you want to live in a building that's poorly maintained? A building that feels fake luxury? Move in ASAP to join a number of unhappy yet optimistic residents that are paying premium prices for subpar amenities!!

THEA at Metropolis is an oasis in the middle of the city. Great location, secure and BEAUTIFUL building, with everything I need. Everything. The front desk staff is professional, kind, and incredibly accommodating to any request made. Moving here has been the best decision I‘ve made as far as the place I call home.

I moved to Thea because I wanted peace and quiet when I come home and thats exactly what I got. High class amenities and finishes in the units. Professional management team. Ive lived in downtown for 7 years and several buildings and Thea has been one of the best experiences so far.
