I was looking to move out of my previous apartment when the lease was up. I was looking at apartment complexes because of the availability of amenities. I felt like a lot of places charged significantly more for community amenities and did not provide that information up front. The Washingtons/Greystar are very transparent on their website related to costs and space. The leasing agent was very easy to work and communicate with and made the process simple and efficient!!

Living at the Washington was a great experience for me. Its where I needed to be at the time. It was home for me and my two sons who have since moved on. I always felt safe here. It met our needs. Never had a problem with management, maintenance or my neighbors. Im going to miss this place. I am moving on because I no longer need to be or stay in Melrose. I have been in Melrose for 20 plus yrs. it is a great town to be a part of.

Its amazing how often the fob readers have to be repaired and a big inconvenience when theyre out of order. And, the rooftop patio was better before so much money was spent redesign it.

We just moved into The Washingtons about three weeks ago but we already feel so at home! We love using the outdoor grills and sitting outside in the sun. The apartment itself is the perfect amount of space for us and we were able to make it homey very quickly. I am always excited to come home and just sit on the couch or at the huge island in the kitchen! We love it here!

Excellent community and staff. I love my apartment layout and big windows that give lots of sunlight. I like how the building is always quite and clean. Close to Oak grove T station which is a bonus!

The management office is the best and alway on top of everything
The Washingtons is a great apartment complex with good location, amenities, and apartment features. I would recommend living there.
I have lived here now for just about 3 years. It is a quiet place to live and very close to public transportation. It has some glitches however so does every other property. I feel safe living there and I am able to reach out to the office at any time if I have any issues and they respond in a timely manner.Thanks, Lisa

Thanksgiving morn 2018, keys were taken from my door knob; I left them there accidentally. My car was identified/stolen from the garage. Secured garage door had been broken, left in open position, for 172 days in period 4/25/18 to 11/28/18 Garage parking is additional $50 per/mnt, $100 tot I called PD, filed report, informed building mangmnt & requested retention of security footage. My car was recovered later in day. Sat Nov 24th, I informed the gentleman at management office desk, Officer Trainer of the Melrose PD will be by on Mon to meet w/ building manager. Mon Nov 26th received phone call from building manager, was informed all security cameras in all buildings were-not/are-not working. When asked further: “It’s an electrical problem”. When asked how long they had not been functioning: “I could not give you an exact date.” When asked if more than a few weeks: “I do not know exactly how long it has been.” Nov 27th, Officer Trainer told me Greystar informed him security footage was not available to him because his request was too late and footage was no longer available. Total out-of-pocket ~$1,500 No restitution made. No communication has been made regarding current state of security cameras.

The Washingtons is a very nice apartment building with many luxury amenities. The location is excellent. Very close to the T.
A pleasant community minutes away from the T as the commute into Boston is a breeze now compared to my previous one. The Washingtons offers a quaint get away from the city but is only a few stops away when you'd like it otherwise. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised with our floor plan when initially walking in for the first time and had the "I'm home" feel where I can sit back and relax. The amenities are top notch and I only have one word for our island: "Wow."
