From white-water rafting on the Cheat River to rock climbing at Coopers Rock to shopping for antiques, there's good reason Morgantown is the most popular destination in West Virginia -- add in West Virginia University and the reasons just become more impressive. Morgantown, situated along the Monongahela River, provides stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains -- especially from vantage points like Dorsey Knob. This park covers 71 acres, and the mountain is 1,398 feet high.
Considered a top-ranking research university, WVU was established in 1867 and features several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Residents of Morgantown can visit the university's Core Arboretum, which is free and open to the public. Residents can also cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineers at various sports events. The Mountaineers compete in NCAA Division I as part of the Big 12 Conference.

Hi, We’re so sorry that your experience did not match your expectations. We would like to the opportunity to resolve this issue immediately. Please contact us at (304) 599-1880 to discuss further.
We just left the Bon Vista Villas in mid-2021 and enjoyed our time there. The workers in the office were kind, helpful, and understanding. Maintenance was quick and communicative. We had no issues with neighbors. We had a one-bedroom and it was pretty small, but perfect for a young couple like us without a ton of stuff to bring along anyway. The only negative I would note is that the location is not incredible. It definitely felt safe and a bus does stop there, but it's really not possible to walk anywhere from the complex. The buildings also sit in between two very steep hills that can get kind of scary in the winter. These are both problems you'd encounter at a billion places in Morgantown, though, not anything that is Bon Vista's fault. I would recommend!
I just had to move to Pittsburgh for work and had to leave my apartments at the Villas after two years. I honestly wish I could have lived there forever. Robin and the girls in the front office are amazing and helped me out with anything I ever needed. They made me feel like family, which is not something I have ever experienced when renting an apartment. The apartment was great with great amenities and the view was awesome. Also, the neighbors are quite and it felt very safe. For how nice the apartment is, the customer service, and the amenities the price was very reasonable. I'm not over exaggerating when I say this, the villas is by far the best place you are going to find to live in Morgantown, if not the best place to live anywhere.
Nice quiet community never had any problems with my neighbors. The staff is always helpful and maintence is quick to fix anything. My apartment has a really nice view and I have plenty of space. Plan on living here the next couple of years.
We've lived here for 3 years and have had a very pleasant experience. The staff is attentive to any complaints and issues we have had and generally respond very quickly. We had a problem with our heating/AC unit leaking water a while ago, after several attempts to fix it they replaced the entire unit with a newer, better model for us. The apartments are reasonably priced compared to others in the area (we visited a few and the rent here seems to be about in the middle for other comparable places we visited) but the location and the view are superior to the others. I would recommend this place for anyone considering living in Morgantown.
I lived at Bon Vista and The Villas for 2 years. I would like to say this was a great place to live. My friend and I enjoyed the pool almost every summer weekend. The water/sewer and garbage is included which helped make the apartment so affordable. When I signed my lease and at move in time, Robin and her staff were very helpful. If you needed maintenance, they were there the same day. Thank you to Robin and staff and Bon Vista for a great 2 years!
I am a PhD student at WVU, and I have lived at The Villas for about two years now and absolutely love it! When I first met for a tour, I was under a serious time constraint. It was an emergency and I had only a couple of days to find a place to live. Kylie and Robin worked with my needs as quickly and effectively as possible. They found me a unit that was in my price range, and available to rent literally days after signing the lease (that NEVER happens!!!). Literally everything has been amazing since Day 1. Robin is a very strong woman who takes her job SERIOUSLY. She will make sure anything you complain about is attended to instantly (noisy neighbors, parking problems, general life advice, etc.) or any maintenance requests are completed immediately (my furnace died and they had it fixed that afternoon!). I've never lived at a place that cares more about the individual than right here at The Villas. They check in on their residents to make sure they are happy, and know most everyone by name, which really helps make this place feel more like a home than a rental. Thank you all for making my time in Morgantown enjoyable!
I am a law student at WVU and am about to graduate. Moved here at beginning of my 1st year almost 3 years ago and cant say enough good things about the complex and staff. The complex is quiet and I have never had an issue with noise or anything like that while studying late at night. The office staff are friendly and helpful (I'm from Maryland and when I moved here about 3 years ago knew nothing about Morgantown). They have given me advice and help on everything from local restaurants to things to see/do locally. Never an issue with them. No maintenance problems with my unit. The pool sure comes in handy in the summer and I've experienced no problems with other tenants . I'd highly recommend The Villas (nice view from my unit as well!!)and I am going to miss this place when I graduate.
Beautiful apartments ! Pleasant staff! !! The view was incredible, the nicest apartment we have viewed!Great pool area and grounds! I think the rent is reasonable ,and plenty of parking with garages available.wirth a look.
I came here to look at an apartment because I am starting law school in the fall. I went to the leasing office and I have never met an office staff more rude and uninviting. They were some of the pushiest, and just unpleasant people. I was willing to overlook it until she was unwilling to take us on a tour unless we filled out cards for everyone taking the tour. Even those not moving into the apartment. This information included your employer and other privileged information. Without even seeing anything yet! We walked out, and i will never go there again. This includes the bon vista residence. While we were there we witnessed another person having problems with their billing. I've never had a bad experience at an apartment complex, but these people take the cake.

Thank you for your feedback. It is mandatory that all visitors fill out a welcome card in its entirety in order to tour. Information we ask on the welcome cards like where you work, how you heard about our complex, and your physical address are used for marketing purposes only. Some information we ask for on the welcome card simply helps us get to know you and your needs so we are able to help you to the best of our abilities. We are so sorry that your initial visit was not pleasant. When you came back a short time later and told us you had left this review we were happy you gave us another chance and had a better experience. We hope that you will renew your lease with us for years to come! -Robin, Property Manager
