Nice location. Needs upgrades and maintenance No water multiple times per month, sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a few days. Locks on front door don’t work with key (right side, left side tricky). No upgrades to apartments that are currently rented. Ancient carpet, flooring, bathrooms and kitchen.

Maintenance Tony was great, he was polite, professional and worked quickly. He took the time to explain to me what the problem was and he fixed it. Thank you to our Maintenance department. Kathie, in the office, was very good about keeping me posted.

There is always an issue with water shut offs in this apartment just this month their water heater stopped working. All of the residents had to live without hot water my family members got sick because they had to shower with cold water. As I'm writing this review there's another "Emergency Water Shutoff". We are paying a premium to live here but they cannot even provide a 24 by 7 running water for which WE the residents pay for.

Filthy The whole building is filthy and in general…..filthy and smells. I literally held my nose yesterday to go in the garage. 20 years here and this is the worst ever.Elevators, hall walls, carpets, garage. Everything is disgusting.

I visited twice! I first met with Karen and was shown around by her, while she answered my numerous questions. (I needed to sleep on it for a few days). I then came back without an appointment and was warmly greeted by Megan. She showed me an apartment that faced the exact way I was hoping to see. Megan, just like Karen; took the time to listen to me rather than jumping into an answer. Both visits were great and I have since submitted my application. Thank you

If you’re considering The Township Apartments in Saint Charles, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The management here is virtually nonexistent, with office staff constantly passing responsibility up the chain—only for nothing to ever get done. There’s zero follow-through on concerns, leaving residents frustrated and ignored. The so-called “amenities” are practically unusable. The pool is closed for half the season (or more), and the laundry facilities are filthy. Good luck doing laundry in a reasonable time frame—clothes sit in machines for hours or even days because no one enforces any rules. Maintenance is another nightmare. Even basic repair requests can take months to be addressed, and in the meantime, you’re left dealing with broken appliances, leaks, or other issues. Contractors are regularly allowed to park in handicapped spaces for hours on end, making accessibility a joke. Security is also questionable—doors that are supposed to be locked for safety are often propped open or jammed so they won’t lock. Overall, The Township Apartments are poorly managed, and residents are left to deal with the consequences. Unless serious changes are made—by someone who actually has the authority to fix these ongoing issues, not just another automated response—this place is not worth your time or money.

Renters BEWARE I have lived at The Township Apartments in Saint Charles for three years, and it has progressively become a nightmare. The lack of management is evident, with an ever-changing office staff that has no real authority or willingness to help. Communication is poor, and when concerns are raised, it’s made clear that no one in the office can make decisions, nor will they assist you in speaking with someone who can. The so-called “amenities” are either non-functional or poorly maintained. Repairs take anywhere from an hour to three months—if they’re addressed at all. Living conditions are unacceptable, and resident safety is clearly not a priority. If you’re considering moving here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. What was once a decent place to live has deteriorated into a frustrating, mismanaged mess.

Someone from the office dummy-proofed it so all I had to do was open it, click initials or signature in the proper places, and submit. Took 4 minutes total.
Improving Big improvement from 5 previous years. Pool hasn't shut down all summer except for the hottest weekend when no one unlocked the doors
