The Columbia Street Waterfront District, a neighborhood in south Brooklyn, New York, blends old and new styles by converting old industrial buildings, such as the Louis Comfort Tiffany factory on Tiffany Place, to residences, shops, and eateries. Walk, drive, or ride the bike path along tree-lined Columbia Street, a neighborhood gathering place. See condos and townhouses for rent that reflect district revitalization activities which started in 1984. Residents of the cozy neighborhood also meet at the public community gardens. Travel to midtown Manhattan, about 12 miles away, by subway, bus, taxi, or personal vehicle.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Tiffany News Condominium
I have lived in this apartment building for more than 10 years and in all that time I have only spoke with my landlord maybe three times. The building has been sold several times and what started out as a low-income housing to help sustain me after my wife left and dad died turned out to be a life battle. I've had the same cabinets, counters and toilet for more than fifteen years. The maintanenece people are incompetent and very hard to contact. I've called during normal business hours at three different times of the day and still response. I've had broken windows so winters are hard and I've made closets. The few things the building maintenance have tried to fix still are not fixed! The front door has been broken a trillion times. Plus we haven't had a security guard since the last one died but was promised security upon first moving in. The apartment it's self is ok with one bedrooms and one bath. I been in this neighborhood my whole life. It is not gentrified and I believe not one person cares, but it means a lot to me to stay in this neighborhood. I wish we could reach a compromise and hope to be here longer.
I love my apartment. I have 2 bedrooms with (2) full baths). My rooms are all large & I reside in Cobble Hills in Brooklyn, NY. Cobble Hills is a area most people would love to live in, because it's not too far from Manhattan.
