Nestled at the confluence of the Hudson and Harlem Rivers is the pretty and green Spuyten Duyvil. Hilly and full of parks and tree-lined streets, Spuyten Duyvil is situated in the northwest corner of the Bronx and known to some as South Riverdale. Spuyten Duyvil contains plenty of co-op apartments along with some condominiums and single-family homes. The best known co-op apartment is the Villa Charlotte Bronte, which resembles a vine-covered castle overlooking the Hudson River.
Spuyten Duyvil maintains a suburban feel despite being a short train ride from Manhattan. A local branch of the New York Public Library and numerous parks inhabit the scenic neighborhood.
With access to the Hudson Line of Metro North, No. 1 subway, and Henry Hudson Bridge, commuting from Spuyten Duyvil is easy. La Guardia Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport are all in close proximity to Spuyten Duyvil as well.
