They broke away from Windham and incorporated in 1702. By the 1800s, Windham was known for its production of silk.

On the outskirts of Mansfield, you’ll discover acres of farmland and orchards. Storrs Road, especially closer to UConn, is dotted with shops and restaurants. Near the intersection of Storrs Road and Eagleville Road, you’ll find the Mansfield Community Center and the Storrs Farmers Market.
