The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Slater
The apartment floor plans are pretty well thought out, and the finishes are brand new, especially the panoramic windows in the living room, which I particularly like. The complex itself is still relatively new and not fully landscaped, but the administration is actively working on improving the appearance of the grounds. Maintenance requests are usually handled quickly, often the very next day, and the office staff are friendly and always ready to help. The dog park on the complex grounds is small, but its presence is a big plus. There's also a trail around the lake through the pine forest nearby, which is great for walking.
Wonderfully delighted by the Slator apartments! I love the modern vision for the apartments, from the sleek ammenties to the spacious, tech packed apartments. I have had an excellent move-in experience, and am excited to get more settled in. Couldnt recommend this place enough! Oh! And, wonderful office staff!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying your new home at Slater Apartments and that your move-in experience went smoothly. Our team takes pride in creating a modern and welcoming community, so it’s wonderful to know you’re feeling right at home. We’re excited to have you as part of our community and look forward to supporting you as you get settled in!
From Day 1 I’ve had issues with just about everything except the property Manager without her I would have been extremely livid with this complex, I have run into many little issues that I felt i unnecessarily had to deal with like not having a trash can for the entire first week and being told by several different employees “I’ll bring you one, we aren’t sure where they are” and still waiting 6 days for it, not being told I had to set up my own internet, signed the lease 3 months before moving in, no one was living there the full 3 months, my apartment wasn’t clean when I moved in, mildew in the freezer, the person living there before me never cut off her internet, the dishwasher literally smelled like all the spices she used, the maintenance man Shawn has a horrible unhelpful attitude, he told me he didn’t know how to fix my door and I was just stuck at my house because my key fobs randomly decided to stop working, told me he couldn’t do anything, come to find out it was simply a battery needed to be changed, why was that not his first thought? I got a free month with my rent, was still charged for it anyway, there’s no screens on the windows so you either have no fresh air or all the bugs can come in, there’s an ungodly amount of spiders around the property, if we’re paying for pest control why isn’t someone spraying for spiders? Been here 2 months and couldn’t use the peloton until this week due to them not having an access code, I honestly could go on for days about how many issues I’ve experienced.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced since moving in. While we’re glad to know our Property Manager has been a bright spot in your experience, we regret that other areas have fallen short. We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with multiple concerns, and we’re actively working with our team to address the issues you mentioned. Regarding the Peloton, we want to clarify that it has been fully operational for over a month now, and we’re sorry for any confusion around access. As for the rent concession, the charge you saw was due to a temporary system issue, which was corrected immediately once identified. We truly appreciate your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further to help improve your experience. Please feel free to reach out to the leasing office if there’s anything more we can do.
The Slater apartment's are super spacious and price worthy & located in prime location. I loved their amenities & front desk team is very responsive and helpful. I'd say you get more spacious apartments and if you are planning to share a 2B-2B with friend, slater plans are equally divided for people of two.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying the spacious floor plans, convenient location, and our amenities. It’s great to know our team has been helpful and responsive—that means a lot to us! We're especially glad to hear the 2B-2B layout is working well for you and your roommate. If there’s ever anything you need, we’re always here to help. Welcome home to The Slater!
The hallways are dirty and insect infested. No fans in the living room or spare room. No closet doors for the master bedroom. The bathroom faucets are extremely short for the size of the sink, causing your hands to hit the back of the sink during washing. The shower head is not hand held, boo! The air doesn’t work throughout the home. The dryer doesn’t work. Great natural lighting but you will need to have a lamp as there is no lighting in the living room or second bedroom. With all the bugs in the hallways, expect a lot of bugs in your home. The office staff doesn’t do there jobs, you will need to stay on top of things, as they always allow issues to fall through the cracks. They sometimes send out important emails and sometimes they don’t and will act like the miscommunication was on your side instead of admitting to their mistakes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and want to sincerely apologize for the frustrations you've encountered. Your concerns are important to us, and we understand how disappointing it must be to feel let down by your home and our service. We take issues like pest control, maintenance, and communication very seriously. While we strive to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all residents, it’s clear we fell short in your case. Please know that we have professional pest control service on-site weekly to treat both individual homes—upon request—and common areas throughout the community. If you're experiencing issues inside your home, we strongly encourage you to submit a request so we can address it promptly. Regarding your comments about the apartment features such as lighting, fan placement, and fixtures—these aspects were made known during the touring process. We do our best to provide clear and accurate information about each home prior to move-in to ensure transparency and help set expectations. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will continue to use it when evaluating future upgrades. We also regret that you felt unsupported by our office team. Our goal is to communicate clearly and resolve all resident issues in a timely and professional manner. If there’s ever a time you feel otherwise, we urge you to contact our community manager directly so we can address your concerns and work toward a resolution. We truly value your input and are committed to improving both our service and the quality of life within our community.
