Property Ratings at The Saulet
As we enter another scorching New Orleans summer, I’m once again facing the same unresolved issue I reported last year: my A/C runs but does not cool, despite temperatures in the 90s. I reported the problem on June 25, 2025, and specifically requested a service check for low refrigerant. Instead of taking action, I was met with a dismissive response from staff, suggesting it was “normal” for the unit to not cool during extreme heat. Five business days later, I’ve received no follow-up, no service visit, and no communication from maintenance, leasing, or management. This lack of urgency and accountability is deeply frustrating. When I moved in last year, the A/C issue was already present, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get minimal assistance. The resulting spike in my utility bill was only partially reimbursed. Now, the same issue is repeating itself. To make matters worse, the new resident portal rollout has been full of glitches. I can’t even reset my password to submit service requests online. Harbor Group Management’s handling of The Saulet has felt more cosmetic than substantive. Infrastructure and resident service are clearly not priorities, and that shows in how recurring maintenance issues are handled. Tenants deserve timely communication, reliable repairs, and basic livability, none of which I’ve received.

Saulet is an excellent community with great neighbors, maintenance personnel and office staff. Wouldn't trade this place for anywhere else.
Friendly leasing agents and employees. However, the property is always dirty. The appliances are out of date. The prices are high, and the option to not renew into a month to month at the original rental price is a big factor as to why I would move from here.

It's great place to move into. The property has great amenities, folks are pretty nice here. I'd recommend anyone moving to New Orleans start here, and figure it out. This place is so close to the French Quarter, and dining options so close by. Best decision we've made to date!!!!

I’ve had an interesting 6 months at The Saulet. The leasing staff, especially Mrs. Leah, has been amazing—professional and helpful. Maintenance is good, but the old appliances have minor flaws. For luxury apartments, you’d expect updated appliances without monthly upgrade fees. Light fixtures are outdated and don’t provide enough illumination. Pest control is a priority, yet gnats remain an issue. The courtesy officers are great, but I’m concerned about tow trucks being allowed in to scan plates for repossessions—this is private, gated property, and that feels like a legal gray area. Overall, the community has a lot of potential, but a few things need improvement to fully match the luxury standard they aim to deliver.

Some of the staff are amazingly helpful, but there's a clear breakdown of communication between management, leasing agents, staff, and maintenance. The courtyards and pool are beautiful, but the hallways are not well maintained. The apartments are spacious and well put together, but also not exceptionally well maintained. It seems for every upside, there is also a downside. Not a bad place to live, but definitely not the best nor worst I've lived in.

I love living here, particularly because it is quiet, I feel safe, and my apartment is amazing. In addition to these factors, I am really happy to say that many of the staff have been here for all or much of the three years that I have been in residence here - which is ever since I moved to New Orleans. Of particular importance to feeling like this is my home are office staff members such as Leah and Victoria, who - along with the maintenance folks and grounds personnel, are friendly and helpful and consistent. Leah has been here for several years, and she has gone so far above and beyond for me at times that I can hardly say enough in thanks. I have seen for myself that she (and Victoria, for example) do this routinely for all residents, and not just for some of us. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Relocating from another state for work is usually stressful but Leah made the transition so easy for us. We needed help choosing the right location to accommodate the visually impaired and she not only helped us choose the perfect unit in the complex, but also guided us through the application process. We love our location in the city, the amenities, and the staff. River district development and the new Top Golf are in the works and are right next door. We are loving our stay at The Saulet!

I'm satisfied with all my concerns that was addressed in a timely manner. Right now I score a 3 because it's a gated community but one side or both side of gate is always open. Hallways should be pressured once or every other month because they offer trash pick up service. Other than that I'm close to work and the grocery store which was important to me.

We have been residents at The Saulet since 2023 and we are enjoying our experience here. The office staff is friendly and helpful, the maintenance staff is knowledgeable, punctual, and neighborly. The facility is maintained well. Our neighbors are friendly too.

I have placed two work orders. The first was marked complete even though no one ever showed up to correct the problem. The second has not been completed and it has now been over a week. Extremely disappointing. Maintenance service is nonexistent.

The tour was great and the leasing agent was great with providing information. The problem is once you move in it's hard to get anyone on the phones, the calls go straight to voicemail and you will not return phone call. The property is close to my job so that's a plus for me and it's close to Walmart another plus, but as far as luxury living I would not agree with that, the hallways need pressure washing and I believe cameras should be installed everywhere. I've just moved in but I'm more than sure they are willing to address and fix any concerns you may have.

I have little to no complaints on my time at the saulet, staff has always been hospitable and my neighbors are great, the only complaint I would have is the trash dumpster areas, they are sparsely pickups up and maintained

My ice-maker hasn’t worked for almost 2 years despite multiple “fixes.” Now there is constant water dripping in my fridge as well. The grout on my shower is stained with black mold and nothing will get it out. The fitness center and pool are the only reason I give the property 2 stars.
