Albany, New York combines historic architecture and contemporary living along the Hudson River. As the Capital District's center, the city balances government operations with welcoming neighborhoods. Current rental trends show moderate growth, with average rents ranging from $1,284 for studios to $1,914 for three-bedroom units, with an overall average of $1,506. The market has seen modest increases, with year-over-year changes varying from 1.8% to 3.5% across different unit sizes.
Albany's neighborhoods each offer distinct characteristics. Center Square features well-preserved row houses near local shops and restaurants, while Pine Hills sits close to educational institutions. Washington Park, an 81-acre green space designed in 1876, hosts summer concerts and provides winter recreation including ice skating. The Empire State Plaza and the New York State Capitol building create Albany's recognizable skyline.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Rise: Pine Hills
Its good if youre into city noises all day and all night and dont mind all the college kids partying on the roof nightly. I cant wait to move out my apartment walls are so thin i can hear my neighbor snoaring and other activities in the bedroom. Also the windows are single pane and let out so much heat it will cost about 150 to keep it decently warm in your apartment. The windows also allow lots of noise in. My poor cat is scared everytime someone revs up and flies down the street. Honestly cant wait to move out
The C building parking garage ramp is too steep to get your car into without scraping the bottom. They will not give you a discount for the parking spot even though it is unusable for any car that is not an SUV.
Management personnel ~ Mike, Adam & Theresa ~ have excellent communication skills. They always respond to a phone call, email or text within 24 hours. They also care about the tenants. If there is a minor or major problem, they take care of it very quickly. The Facility is beautiful, well kept and offers facilities for a variety of workouts as well as sites to work on one's computer or socialize. The Rise offers social events, interest groups and other options for those looking for connecting with others. The apartments are beautiful, well crafted and have ample space. Everything from the appliances to the flooring and countertops are beautiful and practical. We highly recommend The Rise as a satisfying place to live ~ for any age group.
