The Hilaman Park neighborhood takes its name from Hilaman Golf Course, an 18-hole, municipal course with a Pro Shop and a restaurant. The neighborhood begins on the east side of the golf course, extending north along Blair Stone Road and extending west to Jim Lee Road. Single-family homes on large lots sit beneath moss-covered oak trees in this peaceful, wooded neighborhood.

But while this picturesque neighborhood around a golf course feels removed from the city, it is only about two miles from Downtown Tallahassee and about three miles southwest of Florida State University. To make commuting easier, bus stops are located along Jim Lee Road and Orange Avenue. Hilaman Park is a residential neighborhood, but nearby Apalachee Parkway is lined with shops, grocery stores, and restaurants.
