Property Ratings at The Residences at Wakefield
The staff that I worked with on site were beyond respectful to me in regards to the death of my brother. But the policy remains that due to there being no death clause in the contract of the rental agreement, my deceased brother's estate will be required to play 2 months rent plus an additional 2 months rent in penalty. This is one of the most heartless things I have ever seen in all my years.

I moved to The Residences from another community in Wake Forest about a month ago. I love it here. The apartments are large and bright and mine has a wrap around verandah. The unit includes a garage at no additional cost. The new management team is doing a great job. They are friendly and responsive. Hoping to call The Residences home for a long while to come.

The parking issue is absolutely ridiculous. They painted NO PARKING yellow lines all over the apartment complex for absolutely no reason, and will tow your car for no reason. There is virtually no guest parking and they just tell you to park on the street outside the complex, and if you live in the back of the complex it’s about a 10 - 15 minute walk. I understand protecting driveways and reserved spaces, but there is absolutely no reason for the yellow lines EVERYWHERE. Gym has been “under construction” for months now and the tennis court is non functioning. Not sure why we are still paying for “luxury amenities” when they aren’t available.

This is a great place to live. The grounds are kept very nice and the apartment is very nice. The staff, especially Meredith, have been wonderful and very helpful. I know they I have any questions or concerns, I can talk to them and know that and it will be take fill be fixed. Good place to live

Avoid this place at all costs!! After 2.5 months of living here, we are finally able to break our lease and leave after countless issues… let’s start with a messy disgusting unit when arriving, we were assured it was cleaned moving in, it was extremely far from it. We had broken appliances moving in that took maintenance 3 weeks and some over a month to fix. We had our kitchen flood only 3 days into living here due to horrible plumbing. Weve had cockroach’s with pest control not doing a thing about it. The “Great” amenities this place offers… well not a single one is open or functioning. They “luxury” renovations look like a 5 year old did them with 0 experience, not kidding, someone with no experience could have made these units look better. The icing on the cake was when we had our upstairs neighbor overflow the toilet, not clean it up, causing our bathroom to have raw sewage leak from the ceiling and ruin our personal property… then management doesn’t want to help us in the slightest. Our apartment smelled of raw sewage and the management team wasn’t even willing to work with us on finding a comfortable place to sleep for our family and ignored our emails and phone calls for help. There is more and more to our story that a review can’t even contain…. But DO NOT live here!!!!!

My apartment is lovely. The ladies in management, Jessica and Amber, have been so helpful in my settling into a new city as well as a new apartment. I've been living here for just over 6 months, relocated from MI and I can't speak highly enough about the girls up front. From day one they've been there to answer every question or concern I've ever had. Very personable and easy to speak with, it makes it much easier to reach out for literally anything. Lack of parking isn't great, so either get a garage or make sure you have a reserved parking spot. I've had not so great experiences with office staff in the past, the quality of work they do here trumps any of the downsides to living here by far. As long as I plan to keep renting, I won't have any plans to leave here.

WORSE APARTMENT I HAVE EVER LIVED IN!!! DO NOT BOTHER TO EVEN GO LOOK AT! I submitted a work order online for a jelly/moldy substance leaking behind the toilet and no one came and did anything about it, so I went in to tell them and they swear I only submitted the one work order. I submitted a work order for a leaky shower head that was producing pink bacteria in the shower. They changed the shower head to a worse one and did correct the problem. I put in a bad survey and then they came and fixed the shutoff handle. Whoever paints for them should be fired. Every room had paint on the flooring (carpet/fake laminate) from the painters.

From my very first contact with the leasing office, I have been thoroughly impressed with the community staff here. Stephanie, Lindsay, Sarah and Sable have continually gone above and beyond to help me identify the right apartment for me, assist in a difficult transfer process from another Bell property and making sure my move in went flawlessly. They are all extremely compassionate, kind and professional and go the extra mile. They exemplify the meaning of customer service and truly care about the residents' happiness here. I have an amazing Myrtlewood floorplan, which is a large one-bed and garage. It's like having your own townhome in an apt community. My unit has a garage, balcony and fireplace, nook for a home office. The grounds are well-maintained and parking has never been an issue for me or my guests. Plenty of street parking near my building, too. Rents here a so great for what you get --and I love going to office with my dog to grab a treat for him and some coffee for me and to say hello to the staff. Seriously, you won't find a better management team here. It is a very diverse community and it's a pleasure to live here. Neighborhood is very upscale and everything you need is within a short walk or drive. Great area for running, biking and walking with our without your dog.
I love my apartment. It is extremely rare to find an apartment with direct-access garage. I go straight from my apartment to my car without going outside. The rooms are spacious and the layout is great. Location is also excellent. Less than ten minutes to any store, bank or restaurant. I JUST LOVE IT!!!

First, the parking is probably the worst part of this complex. Some reserve parking and then some other spots that most times will be a little walk away. Complex has nice staff and apartments are nice, but just to me they're not worth the money. You're mostly paying for the area you live in. In this complex you're surrounded by million dollar homes. It's an older crowd at the complex and little kids not few in between but some.

I have to say this is the greatest community I ever encountered. The management staff is second to none, Emily, Debra, Sarah, and Stephanie make paying your rent a pleasure instead of a hassle. The maintenance staff is quick and efficient, Mac, Nelson, and Mike make you feel like you are the only resident they are taking care of at that moment. The amenities are spectacular as well as the grounds. I recommend this property daily to everyone I meet. Thanks for the great job you guys do!
