A seaside city along the Pacific, Huntington Beach is known for its miles of white-sand beaches and fabulous California climate. Nicknamed “Surf City,” people from all over the world come to catch waves and hang ten on its pristine beach. The U.S. Open of Surfing competition is held in Huntington Beach during the summer.
And speaking of beach – the pier is a favorite sport for people to enjoy the ocean views and grab a quick bite at Ruby’s Diner. Residents are comforted by the area’s great public and private schools as well as Golden West College.
By the shore, you’ll find many fun souvenir shops and two neighborhood malls. 5th & PCH as well as Pacific City overlook the beach, and encompass high-end shops, local pubs, and fine dining experiences. Huntington Beach houses many public parks and green spaces close to luxury apartments.

Property Ratings at The Residences at Pacific City
Let me start off by saying that the location is unbeatable. However, UDR is a huge corporation that cares about nothing more than collecting their check. They will nickel and dime you for everything under the sun. Consider that when you are moving to the Residences at Pacific City. I can't speak for their other locations. I've dealt with many rental properties and the bigger they are, the worse their management tends to be. So if there is a problem or concern, expect inflexibility, major delays and little to no communication which was what my partner and I experienced here. When you're paying an immense amount of rent, the least you can expect is professional service and care. Unfortunately, you won't get that here unless you're willing to jump through hoops and bend over backwards for these corporate cogs.

I love this community! Been here for 3 months now and read several negative reviews before deciding to move here so I wanted to set the record straight. We’ve had no issues others have talked about. It’s an absolutely beautiful community with great staff and great residents. We haven’t had to use maintenance yet, but if their service is like the rest of the community, I’m sure it will be prompt and pleasant. The janitorial staff cleans all of the buildings and amenities at least once a week (based on how frequently we see them) and all of the grounds are well-maintained.
I had one of the worst experiences of my life living at this place for one year, an employee of The Residences at Pacific City unlawfully entered my apartment with a key fob not sure what the intention was entering my home but I know it was not good I had to put all my body weight and power to shut the door back on him as he pushed back the door on me, it was all confirmed the employee admitted he entered unlawfully, this was so wrong and the management told me to file and insurance claim since I was injured so I did that and they did nothing, said it would be handled internally and then the management did nothing I missed 3 days of work lost money and never felt safe there again, such a bad experience the location is the only thing nice about this place, turn over of unhappy tenants is unreal save your self misery and go somewhere else
Been an awful experience starting from the day we moved in, managers Will do there best to comlicate every simple thing for you. Beware of being fooled by the glitz and glam you think that a place as beautiful as this is at least run by experienced management! WRONG. the type of renters here are loud, rude and some don’t even have jobs! Many complaints about crazy people driving fast in the parking garage where children and pets are there! Some neighbors are inconsiderate and we get daily emails about complaints from other residents regarding noise after hours! But no one is bothered to care. If you are willing to live in a chaotic poor managed place then this is the perfect place for you. Good luck
Hear neighbors upstairs walking and noise from people being loud in common areas at all times of day. Lots of noise from delivery trucks at Pacific City. Not the high-income clientele you would expect mainly due to low-income units being rented out. Way too many people abuse the 2 guest limit so lots of people at pool and other common areas who do not live here.
