The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Metropolitan Bala
This building has a serious mouse infestation that management has not addressed. They will provide you with a few mouse bait stations and sticky traps, but besides that, you are on your own. Extermination is not covered in the lease so expect to pay out-of-pocket. No matter how cleanly you keep your apartment, you WILL be living with mice. My top and bottom cabinets and my coat closet are infested. I recently learned they are also capable of climbing up the clothes in my closet to higher ground. Don’t move here unless you want to live amongst mice.
Do not rent here! MICE. I slept in my car for two months as my apartment was infested with mice.
Lived here for a year and never had an issue. All my neighbors were mostly students, so we all kept pretty quiet. Everything overall was very clean, never saw any bugs in my apartment the entire time I stayed there. They have a trash shoot, laundry on each floor, and a parking lot where I always found a spot. Overall, had a great experience.
This building is great for students, especially PCOM you can walk there. It takes me about 10 minutes. I have been living here for two years now and I am very happy with the new manager and the maintenance team. They are so friendly and helpful. They respond right away to anything I have emailed about. They have made a lot of changes and the changes are great!! The sundeck is awesome to sit and study and make a burger. I would definitly recommend this building to anyone.
As a first year med student I had a very positive experience living there. The office manager was very friendly and very quick to respond and maintenance was always there within a day or two. Relatively speaking, it was the best financial option in the area for the given quality, size, and location of my studio. Studying was never an issue because the first floor especially was very quiet. I would definitely recommend it to any incoming students!
WILL NOT RECOMMEND! I will try to make this unbiased even though I will never want to live here again! Pros: Water and some utility are included. Good location. Nice residents Cons: - Leasing office never returned my email, or took forever. - Pricey compared to other apartments around. - There is a gym, but crappy. Equipment are so old and not well maintained. - Most importantly, people on site don't know anything about your lease. If you ever have problems regarding your bill. They don't know anything and they are only the middle man and cause more confusion. Example: I transferred apartment once, they made mistakes on my billing for the first month of my second apartment They charged me garage parking that I had cancelled. They also charged me utility for two apartment for the same month (Lease of these apartments didn't overlap). It took them almost one whole month to sort them out. I didn't pay the bill before they sorted it out, and they charged me late fee for that. THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR FOR THE MISTAKES THEY MAKE! Also they never returned me the garage key deposit after I returned the key. Never replied my email or the ticket I submitted online. When I went to leasing office, the lady there doesn't know anything or have my billing record to sort thing out. LIVE HERE IF YOU LIKE MYSTERY BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE YOUR MONEY GO.
The staff is helpful, friendly, and very quick to fix anything that may break and go wrong. The building is quiet, clean, and a great place for a student.
