Don’t fall for the pretty pictures and free wine

Please do not be like me and ignore the bad reviews. I’ve lived here for about 7 months and I can’t wait to get away. From the roaches, to gate being broken for months, to the doors being broken so anyone can enter the building, to the thin walls and floors, to the terrible parking, it’s just an AWFUL place to live.

worst condo to live in dallas

I don't like to say bad things and I'm not one to write reviews. But I've been living in this condo for over a year and it's terrible. To start with, security is terrible. The garage door has been broken for several months, allowing anyone to enter who is not a resident. I work at night and arrive at dawn and anyone can enter without anything stopping them. The entrance door to the apartments was also broken for a long time, allowing anyone to enter the door of your house without permission. The noise from the neighbors next door can be heard as if they were in your house. The walls allow even the conversations to be heard, and the footsteps of those upstairs . My car has been hit twice in the garage and they have not been able or willing to give me the video so I can see who did it. I had to leave my car in front of the office for two days because a front tire blew out and I couldn't get it into the parking lot. I left the apartment sticker with the parking number and they sent it to be towed without having the courtesy to let me know beforehand. Renting a supposedly luxury apartment and not having security is not a good idea, I don't think. Not to mention the pool, which I've already seen in other reviews

VERY NASTY! VERY DISAPPOINTING! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

I moved here in 2020 and was among the first residents to live in this complex. Initially, everything was great. However, when management changed, the welcoming and professional atmosphere, along with the luxury amenities, quickly deteriorated and the upkeep of this place went down. The property is now in terrible condition, with dog waste throughout the hallways and a foul smell in the carport, dirty walls, and the trash outside near the elevators are typical all over the palace with a bad stench! IT IS FILTHY! Moreover, the garage is ALWAYS broken and vehicles are not secured and gated as advertised! When I filed a complaint against management, I was informed that my lease would not be renewed after four years. During my move-out process, I was charged a trash fee, and Carina informed me that if I had any belongings in the hallway while loading my truck, she and her staff would consider them trash. Not only was I charged a trash fee but they also required the apartment to be professionally clean and wanted a receipt. Although, the complex within itself is filthy! This was extremely rude and unprofessional. THIS PROPERTY HAS GONE DOWN TREMENDOUSLY! When attempting to reach out to her manager through the livew3 as directed her manager never responded although Carina made it very clear to me that her manager had received my messages! I literally sent her 8 messages and did not receive 1 response! SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME!! LOOK ELSEWHERE!! THERE ARE CLEANER & MORE PROFESSIONAL PLACES TO CHOOSE FROM! THESE APARTMENTS ARE NOT LUXURIOUS! If you're considering moving here, I strongly urge you to tour more than just the office. While the office and gym area may look luxurious, the rest of the property does not reflect the same standard! VERY NASTY! VERY DISAPPOINTING! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

ROACHES - RUN

ROACHES in hallways and now entering apartment. They do not have required sprays in apartments. Therefore, this will continue to be an issue. If you want to avoid roaches, then avoid living here. Already spoke to staff and the solution is to just keep spraying, granted one time Pest Control didn't show up. Parking is a hassle. Unless you want to pay for a reserved spot, then count on parking on level 5 if it's after business hours. Lease ends in August and cannot wait to move. Will continue to post pictures and the reality of living here.

Just renewed my lease

Just renewed my lease for another term because of how close to airport this place is. Went shopping around for apartments before renewing and the grass is not really green on the other side. This place is always clean and smelling good, the neighbors are really nice and I can see myself staying here for some time. If you're looking for a place to live, you will not regret living here.

Loving my apartment!

I have been living here for about 2 months now and the office personnel is always nice. This is the best pool of any apartment I have lived in and the building is always looking nice and clean.

Great Community!

I moved into the Mansions at Mercer a little while ago and can I just saw I love this community! The amenities are amazing and the leasing agents are so helpful. If you are looking for an apartment look no further this is the place to be!

Amazing staff, great amenities

I have lived in several apartments before and these are very well kept, the staff are super responsive to any work order, and I have loved all of the great events that the staff put on several times a month. Very dog friendly and lots of storage

You can do better!

This is not where you want to live! You can do better! I leased this apartment for my daughter in December 2020, and it was one problem after another. Worst of all, one day the apartment management towed my daughter's car "accidentally." When we called and asked why, they apologized and said they'd pay to get her car back. But my daughter was inconvenienced for a whole day and a half and had to catch an Uber to the tow yard to get her car back. Do you think the apartment management compensated my daughter for the inconvenience she suffered? Nope! In another incident, my daughter's car was vandalized and the catalytic converter was stolen from it WHILE it was parked in the garage that the staff lauded as a "security amenity" when I first signed the lease. Unfortunately, for most of the year that my daughter lived there, the parking garage was not secured. Other problems included unresponsive maintenance workers, persistent pests like spiders and silverfish, and dog owners not picking up after their animals. The office staff seems inexperienced and in general are discourteous and unhelpful. As if the whole experience was not frustrating enough, when we decided to end the lease, management came up with little silly fees and charges in an attempt not to have to return my security deposit. Luckily, my daughter just found a different apartment community nearby, which is less expensive and seems more appreciative of their tenants.

Beyond the worst

Forget the highway noise, constant airplane traffic and trains that blow horn early in mornings. Office staff lied to us about when we could move in and lies about pricing. Neighbors constantly smoke (pot and cogs) so apartment smells like ash- office doesn’t care. Dogs poop and pee in hallway; trash left out constantly. Fire lanes parked in by deliveries and residents constantly. Garage gate broken, always break ins and thefts of vehicles and apartments. Maintenance will tell you how and why they refuse to fix anything that is broken about two weeks after you put in work order. Front office staff is literal worst; no interest in support once you sign lease.

Gone downhill FAST

These apartments have 2 buildings that have a pantry in unit, making it so that I have to live in a building that is literally a .15 mile walk to and from the parking garage. If you do not get to the garage by 6:30 pm, good luck finding a parking spot and maneuvering around the narrow garage is dangerous with residents cutting corners and speeding through it. Yes, there is $75 a month parking, but all of those are taken making it not even an option. The gates that were installed on the garage don't work and have remained open for MONTHS. Driving into the parking lot there are ALWAYS vehicles that are double parked so that residents that are trying to get to and from the parking garage have a hard time getting through. The insulation between floors is horrible! My upstairs neighbor sounds like a 500 lb. man stomping around up there, and is constantly waking me up in the middle of the night with her stomping around, not to mention the stampede of her dogs running across the floor. I have lived in apartments for over 25 years now and have never had such a noise issue. There is a trash chute next to my apartment that often smells bad. I have suggested some sort of contraption like an automatic aerosol sprayer, but nothing has been done about this. The hallway stinks. The doors between buildings do not open properly, so people have yanked on them so hard that they are now broken and you can open them without having to use a key. This was supposed to be a gated community, but with the doors AND the gates not working, anyone can just come in. There is no lighting in the dog park area making it very unsafe to walk through at night. There are spiders galore around my apartment in the summertime. Bugs are to be expected, but the pest control that we get charged for is a joke. Having to pay the $6.95 fee on the portal every month because it is the only way to pay rent is an additional $72 a year! Most of the time I go into the office there is no one sitting at the desks and I have to wait for someone to come out of the back to assist me. I have waited 15 minutes before and witnessed a potential resident waiting to view an apartment get disgusted and leave. I have tried calling the office MANY times and doesn't matter what time of day it is, 9 out of 10 times I get the office voicemail. I will definitely be finding a new place to live at the end of my lease. Can't come soon enough.

The walls are so thin! You can hear everyone all day every day! The company won’t do anything about it. I’ve only been here 1 month and I’m already about to move out
