The Lofts (WV)

I chose to live here for grad school and definitely made the right decision. They have great amenities to take advantage of, fun community events, and the management staff is super helpful whenever general issues arise, which really was a rare occurrence. Would recommend any out of towners or grad school students looking for a safe affordable community.

After speaking with a staff member about a tour, they followed up quickly and got me an appointment. The location was great, nice views and clean buildings. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable about the rooms and amenities. Pool and exercise room on site was a big plus for me.

The Lofts is a great residential property for anyone looking to live in Morgantown. The appearance and cleanliness are top-notch, with the apartments as well as the community spaces always well cared for. The rental office staff is very friendly, professional, and willing to help in any situation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home!

Its my second year living here at The Lofts as a WVU student and my experience has been great! The office and maintenance staff are amazing and I've never once ran into any issues here. Highly suggest if your looking for a place to stay.

I lived here when I went to WVU and highly recommend the lofts. I rarely had any issues here and if I did the staff was quick to help/fix it in a timely manner. The apartments come furnished as well which is a big help.

I moved to The Lofts in 2020 since my friends lived here the year prior- I’ve been here since then! I’ve only ever had minor maintenance needs with my apartment, and the guys have always shown up quickly and have been very polite and friendly. They’ve always taken the time to explain what they’re doing too. The front office staff are always very kind and personable. I don’t think the front office manager, Trevor, is still there anymore.. but he was the best! He really crafted a great team out front because the girls there now are always great! The Lofts has served me very well during my time at WVU and I would definitely recommend it!

I lived in several different apartment complexes while living in Morgantown, and The Lofts was my favorite. The apartments are stylish and comfortable, and the environment is calm enough to get school work done, but fun enough to meet new friends. A different apartment complex put me in a basement room with ants, but not The Lofts!

Looking for a college apartment is stressful but Meagan helped make the process easy and comfortable. Great property close to everything but feels very private.

Well to start off, their property manager is amazing. Secondly the staff is enjoyable to be around. Lastly, the price for what you’re getting is outstanding. Free parking with a pass that comes with your purchase of a room/space. Overall a great place to live. :)

Couldn’t imagine a better place for a home away from home!

The property's location is undoubtedly one of its greatest assets. Situated atop a hill, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, dense forests, and distant peaks. The ever-changing landscape provided a captivating backdrop throughout my stay, and I found myself constantly mesmerized by the sheer natural beauty that unfolded before my eyes. Whether I was lounging by the pool or sipping coffee on my private balcony, the views never failed to inspire a sense of tranquility and awe. The front office manager, Trevor, was always willing to go above and beyond for all of us residents. I will always be thankful for his never-ending generosity and care he had for The Lofts Community!

The Lofts is a subpar apartment complex. There are no security cameras outside of the buildings. Three wallets have been stolen right out of cars and there was no footage to protect the vitctims. The sink and showers flood, and the toilet clogs after every usage. The bathroom amenities such as the towel rack and toilet paper holder fall of the walls. Also, the shuttle system is never on time, and drivers lie and say there’s an app to track them when there is no such app. Would not recommend.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Maintenance came because we were having issues with water coming up through the floor and the walls. They said that the water does not drain around our building, it just sits there. Because of that we have mold all over the place.. In our closets, on the walls, on the floor, the couch, etc. We have called the main office multiple times and they are doing nothing. They completely ignore the situation. They brought us a dehumidifier and then came in and took it back in 2 days. We are now calling the health department. This is ridiculous, we should not be living under these conditions. Something needs to be done!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Also maintenance comes in when they please with no notice. They have walked in on us changing in our own rooms multiple times. I repeat DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

Save yourself the trouble and live somewhere else. Staff is not urgent to respond to serious issues. Several calls should not have to be made for something to be taken care of. Nothing but complications living here. I regret it!!!

NOT a good place to live. As a college student, I thought this was a great place to live after thinking The Domain was too expensive. I moved into an apartment with random roommates and found that my roommate had a dog. I couldn't live with the dog and told them on the first day I moved in. They made me pay $200 to switch apartments because I didn't tell them my preference when signing. Each member of the leasing office clearly shows that they don't care and they are just looking to make more money. Then, I moved into a disgusting smelly apartment and gave up because dealing with management is useless. The Lofts shuttle was miserable. They don't have buses big enough for their residents and it is not very useful if you are a health science student. (they often would skip hsc stop) For the first half of the year, buses were always broken down and they would shove people into a small van. When you move out they will tell you that you owe money for damages in the apartment that were already there when you moved in. Even if you put them down on the form you fill out at the beginning of the year! If you do end up proving them wrong, they will find some way to blame you for the mistake. The Lofts Morgantown needs to be taught a lot about customer service and just simple manners!

Our Pastor's daughter, Vanessa, has a lease for an apartment in Morgantown, WV with The Lofts. Her father called them yesterday and asked them to release her from her lease because of her medical condition (she has medullablastoma). They refused. They said they will not show favoritism to anyone. They told her father she was responsible for her own lease and that she needed to find her own sub-lessor. They told her father to get on social media and let folks know the situation and find a sub-lessor. I feel this is extremely unfair and heartless !! Vanessa has a rare form of brain cancer and is in for the fight of her young life. I am APPALLED at the response from The Lofts management.

They have not delivered 3 pieces of mail in the past 6 months. I've gone my entire life and never had mail lost but these clowns constantly put other people's mail in my box, and lose my stuff constantly.

They can't stop the ants! They send pest control but it doesn't help. Plus maintenance crew sucks.

I've only been in my apartment since August, but I've had a great experience so far. I believe that over the last few months that they went under new management, but I can tell improvements are being made. I feel like they value my opinions and concerns. The shuttle service is great and very convenient. The apartment is also well insulated, which is very important because of the winter weather in this area. I also appreciate the clubhouse which has a nice game room, gym, and also swimming pool area. I believe this is a great fit for me and other college students.

I absolutely love the extra space upstairs and the brick in the living room giving it that "loft" feel. I also love that my bathroom is connected to my room and the friendly people that live in our complex.

Any problem you have and the managers will shrug their shoulders and laugh about it. Do yourself a favor and live anywhere else.

Lived here for three years (2012-2015) and it's easily of the nicest looking apartments in Morgantown. Pros: -Updated appliances, granite counter-tops, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, good amount of space. -Bus is usually on time (especially when Dave or Tyrone is driving) -Grounds/gym/pool are mostly clean and quiet (for a college town) Cons: -Driving up/down Van Voorhis or West Run Road is horrible and riddled with potholes -Pool/hot tub is only open ~3 months out of the year -More expensive then nearby complexes and rates WILL increase every year ( $10-$20) even if you re-sign. -Staff at clubhouse are generally lackadaisical about tenets problems/complaints/suggestions
