I’ve lived at The Kenzie since November and have experienced repeated safety and maintenance issues. The fire alarm has gone off more than eight times, often in the middle of the night, with no clear explanation. During a recent 3 a.m. activation, a firefighter confirmed there was no fire and didn’t know why it triggered — which raises serious concerns about system reliability. The car gate has been broken since before April, despite being a key advertised amenity. It hasn’t been repaired, yet residents are still being charged for a gated community. There have also been elevator breakdowns and ongoing construction that disrupt shared spaces. In my opinion, these repeated problems reflect poor infrastructure and lack of oversight. While the property looks nice and some staff are helpful, the overall experience has been frustrating. I can’t confidently recommend it without major improvements in safety and communication.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at The Kenzie has been too frustrating to stay quiet. While the staff is courteous, upper management clearly doesn't prioritize residents’ needs. Maintenance is the biggest issue—my washer broke last Thursday and my clothes are still trapped inside days later. There’s no urgency with requests, especially after hours, and you’re often left to resolve things yourself. Repairs are often done with used equipment, causing repeat issues. Our toilet broke multiple times, water pressure and temperature are inconsistent, and some locks and the garage door have been broken for weeks. I’ve seen a homeless person in the trash room and someone sleeping on the public patio with no follow-up. Maintenance workers even leave tools and trash in common areas. This is unacceptable. Greystar needs to do better—standardize your equipment, fix your services, and don’t raise rent unless you’re improving the living experience.

Amazing experience! Best apartments ever! Staff is very friendly. Location is so good, right in the heart of Austin's Domain. But the lease termination fee and rules is extremely expensive and unreasonable.

We have been living here at the Kenzie since April 2014! We love it. Spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with great amenities and a parking garage as well.

Good: the leasing agent and community manager are helpful and easy to talk to. The common lobby area has free WiFi and coffee. Bad: The community spaces seem slightly small since everything is packed in a tight space and there are some issues with maintenance.

There are a lot of inspections, more so than I can remember living in other apartments. And a lot of elevator breakdowns. The management staff are very friendly and responsive to requests, an excellent perk of living here and I appreciate the privacy and security of the building but recently had a package stolen from my front door right before Valentine’s Day. Whoever is in charge of the EV chargers in the garage needs to do more frequent maintenance as frequently 1/4 to 1/2 of them, and sometimes more, are offline making charging a bit tricky.

Great amenities from the gym to the pool, bbq’s, great variety of coffee and teas and also the new market which is very convenient! Also you are in the heart of the Domain where you can walk to shop, restaurants/bars and a supermarket! I just love living at the Kenzie! They all work so hard! Absolute gem, and I visited around 18 apartments before finding this one! Such a relief. Great community, great management, great amenities, super well located, nothing to complain after my first 3 weeks here. It’s exactly what I was looking for as a newbie in Austin. The apartment I picked got the best view on the swimming pool, it’s quiet, and very well maintained. So far: 10/10!

I can safely say that choosing to live at The Kenzie was the right choice. Not only is the unit exactly like the model shown, the amenities are clean and always available for residents, the property is kept clean and organized, and I have access to everything I need just by stepping out of my front door. You would be making a mistake by choosing not to live at The Kenzie.
Clean, friendly staff, and nice units/amenities. The location is excellent being next to a variety of shops and restaurants. I do wish the gym had more options, but it is still a nice amenity.

Everyone was very sweet. The process was very easy! Ashlyn helped us and she was amazing. The only complaint I have is the elevators going out. That was something i said I didn’t like when I was looking for a place.

The apartment layout is fantastic. The style of the apartments is very pretty. The neighborhood surrounding is lively and it is in the best area of all of the domain. The parking lot is excellent. Elevators can malfunction here and there, but overall the Kenzie experience has been a really good one.

I went to tour The Kinzie at the Domain last week. I was looking to get closer to the Domain. Angela, the leasing agent was very knowledgeable and helpful with answering all of my questions about the property. The location is in a perfect spot within walking distance to everything. After my tour, I am pleased to say that I ended up signing a rental application and will be becoming a resident at The Kenzie at the Domain.

The staff is beyond friendly and supportive. I moved into my apartment at the start of August. I took over someone else’s lease so I didn’t get the full run down of the building amenities etc. however anytime I have had questions they’re always happy to answer them and get back to me promptly with an answer if they did not have one initially

We couldn't be happier with our new home! The staff here is incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Angela, who went above and beyond to assist us during our move. The location is unbeatable, and the other tenants seem really nice. We had a few minor maintenance issues initially, but they were promptly addressed the next day after we reported them. Overall, our experience so far has been fantastic, and we highly recommend this place!
Amazing location and a nice place for living The hallways to enter the apartments are somewhat dirty and possibly the common areas could have better maintenance but in general it is a very nice place

Great place to live. Great amenities and in a prime area. You're near everything and the nightlife around is great. Staff is very friendly and it's kept very clean

Living at The Kenzie has been the greatest! From the staff to the overall community, everyone i have met has been so kind. I love that they have resident events every month, especially yappy hour! You cannot beat the location of course being walking distance to everything which is exactly what I was looking for and the storage space inside the apartment is amazing!

The location is convenient and management is nice. However, at the Kenzie you can look forward to broken windshields, theft, having guns pulled on residents, and numerous aggressive pit bulls on-site (despite breed restrictions in the lease). The complex is not clean and the smell of weed and cigarettes permeate the hallways with a permanent stench as dozens of residents smoke on their porches and next to entrances. Do NOT live here if you are someone who has a minimum level of standards and places value on safety and cleanliness. This complex isn’t the worst of all time by any means, but I would not recommend the Kenzie to friends and family. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

While there are many living options in the domain, I STRONGLY SUGGEST you consider The Kenzie at The Domain. I need to highlight specifically the location and staff. Both are arguably the best in the city. By living at The Kenzie, you can easily access all that The Domain has to offer. Additionally, The Domain Park is positioned right behind the property, making exercising for yourself and your animal easy. In regards to the staff, I know for a fact it’s not the easiest job. However, each member does a great job making it seem like it is. Each time you visit the office, there’s a friendly face waiting to help you. They seem to care a lot about fixing any issue you may have and will work with you to make your living experience great! As a nice plus, the community events are always well organized and enjoyable. You can meet lots of friendly residents by attending. Lastly, the lobby and common areas remained clean, and the free coffee was a nice perk! Overall, I highly recommend The Kenzie, I guarantee it’ll be worth your time to tour!

The Kenzie has the best location of any apartment in the Domain and highly recommend of that alone: everything is walkable and great view/location of Rock Rose and park behind the building. Unlike other Domain apartments, more of a sense of community than others, with events each month and friendly staff. Very spacious units w best cabinet space I’ve seen in Domain. Coffee machine downstairs is priceless!
