The Julian at Fair Lakes

This apartment is in a prime location. Grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Target, and Aldi are within a 10-minute walking distance, and it's also conveniently close to I-66. It is located in a quiet area. Most of the neighbors appear to be working professionals or students. It's very peaceful even on weekends. Occasionally, you might hear dogs barking, but I don't find it particularly bothersome.

Just moved to apartment, move in process was easy, and apartment building is great. Julian is located at very quite neighborhood. And has everything near by

Friendly, reasonably quiet and safe community. No pest issues in the 2 years we’ve lived here. There has been a decline in tenant participation to events hosted by the leasing manager.

I love living here. It’s a very quiet and clean community. The dog park stays clean and even has toys in it. When I do have any problems, maintenance is always great at fixing them pretty quickly

I love living at the Julian! The apartment itself feels very modern and clean. The maintenance staff addresses your concerns relatively quickly. The leasing office tries to be as helpful as they can be and address concerns promptly. It's also a plus that there's a parking garage so I don't have to worry about my car outside in inclement weather.

Love living in this community. The building is great & well maintained, and the location is wonderful. I have renewed here twice now and have no reason to assume I won’t do so again.

I love living at The Julian. Our resident staff are amazing. My maintenance staff are fast and great. I especially like the events we have montly.

Been here a week but so far I’ve had a great experience. Management and maintenance has been on top of any and all communications. Had an issue with my ac and it was fixed the very next morning.

My stay at the julian has been quite pleasant so far! No complaints at all! Management is great, the building is always clean and there is almost zero noise daily! Great place to live

I staff is great at The Julian Fair Lakes. It's a great community to live in,very safe community. A very walkable neighborhood. Events at The Jiulian are fun, a way to connect with neighbors and picking packages is easy.

The best. Reasonable price, amazing service, and fantastic location. The julian property is so nice please to live in, very modern comfortable welcoming staff. I really enjoy staying in it and enjoy drinking mornings coffee at its community.

Great overall experience. Hard to beat the price, location, etc. I like how the building is not really on the main road but it is close to everything from highways to shopping centers and grocery stores.

This neighbourhood is quiet and really feels like home, there is just a walking distance to the shopping center and convenience stores , one things I can highlight in this community is our neighbours are friendly and helpful , I really love this place

My move in was very good, Sarah aand Camillle welcomed me and helped me move in. I moved into a studio apartment love the dark wood floors and cabinets and the apartment is grea, I feel right at home. Thanks for all the help.

We have had such a great experience living at the Julian this past year. The staff is absolutely amazing. When we’ve had maintenance issues (which is rare) they have gotten it fixed the same or next day. Couldn’t recommend this apartment enough! Everyone here has also been super friendly which is a plus.

My son continues to be impressed by the promptness of minor repairs. When he calls in with an issue, like a malfunctioning ice maker on his fridge, the repair is completed within the hour!!! His friends renting elsewhere have to wait weeks for such a repair! Also: communications in general from the front office to the community are prompt, clear, and very gracious. The Julian is the best apartment I have ever lived in US. Management is awesome and they always hold lots of events for residents. Also the community is safe and quiet.

There is always something to look forward to at Julian- paintnight, food trucks, pie day, boardgame nights and so much more! The staff is always so friendly and helpful!

I’ve been living at the Julian for about 7 months now and absolutely no complaints. The apartment building is quiet and shared areas always stay clean. I usually don’t write reviews but wanted to mention the awesome maintenance staff especially Belay. I had to have my water filter changed and he also noticed other part of my fridge in bad condition so he replaced it. I also work from home and they are always understanding of my situation.. for example when they were cleaning the dryer vents at the same time as a presentation I had to run, they made sure to come at a time I wasn’t presenting. Every time I interact with anyone on the maintenance staff and leasing staff it’s always an great experience! Amazing place to live!

The Julian at Fair Lakes is an amazing community to live in. The building and facilities are really clean, always freshly painted and has great amenities. The entire staff is polite, conscientious, respectful, helpful and caring of the residents, their pets and belongings. Even the garage is really clean. 5 stars for sure!

The Julian is everything we could have hoped for when looking for an apartment in the Fairfax area. -The units and appliances feel new and well taken care of -The maintenance team is always on top of it and is very friendly. They always ask if there is anything else they can help with. 10/10 every time we have requested maintenance. -Sarah and Samuel (property management team) are amazing and very professional. They know names really well and say hi when they see you. Communication is great and they put on events regularly. They are always willing to help out with any questions, and have even held packages or offered to place them inside our apartment for us when we are out of town. -The location is quiet, very safe, and feels isolated from the interstate while still having easy access. -There are so many shops and restaurants in such close proximity, not to mention 2 Starbucks within a 1 mile radius. -The whole building is kept very clean and well cared for, including the pool. -There is a parking garage with key fob access and always plenty of spaces available. -We have never had issues with noise from other apartments or outside. -The elevators have never been out of service (that I have noticed). -The gym area is kept clean, is not crowded, and has a solid set of equipment. I could probably go on and on but I’ll stop there. If you like what you see when you look at pictures and the location, then I can tell you the unknowns (management, maintenance, communication, etc) are all great.

Being a part of The Julian community for the last year has been absolutely amazing! The entire experience from start to finish has exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. The maintenance team is prompt, attentive, and thorough. The facilities (lobby, gym, hallways, pool etc) are all cleaned daily and they're continually spotless. The property management team (Sarah and Samuel!) are so kind, responsive, and helpful! They bring in food trucks almost regularly, host community events and provide free food very frequently, and their communication with us as residents has been SO impressive. The entire staff seems to really care about it's residents and they've gone out of their way on numerous occasions to answer our questions, make things more convenient, and ensure we're happy with our experience here. The Julian is attentive to the needs of their community and they provide regular maintenance and enhancement work around the building (and communicate it very well with us!) to ensure that the building is clean, functional, and constantly improving. There is always plenty of parking which is all underground below the building and they have a quaint and well kept nature preserve area with grills and a small fenced in dog park. We couldn't recommend The Julian more to anyone looking for an apartment community in the Northern Virginia area!

I moved into The Julian about 3.5 years ago and have enjoyed living here since. The building and apartments are well maintained thanks to the maintenance team. The staff are always quick to respond to service requests and really keep the place it great shape. The unit and building amenities are plentiful. The fitness center has everything one needs for a solid workout and the pool area is great for relaxing and cooling off. Sam and Sarah do a terrific job communicating with the residents on activities around the building and are always willing to help you out when needed. They arrange a number of events in the building including resident socials, local business demos and have food trucks come occasionally for a night off from cooking. They really do a terrific job! The building location is great as well, with nearby walking and bike trails, plenty of local shopping and restaurants to choose from. Jack V.

This apartment building is without a doubt one of the best buildings to ever reside in. Everyone who works here is absolutely wonderful. Sam and Sarah in the offices are so caring, kind, and great people in general. They are quick to get back to residents for any questions or concerns we might have and have arranged some very fun experiences. Maintenance team wise, everyone is phenomenal! I especially love how they have all made time to get to know my family and are always very friendly. My daughter looks forward to interacting with every single person and loves practicing her Spanish with Ms. Virginia! The apartments themselves are gorgeous. Up to date amenities and very accesible. The 24/7 gym is so clean and has enough to get a full body workout in. The nature walk is so cute, very pet friendly and pet owners are very responsible so no walking into some random dog poop on your walks. The bird feeders are fun to watch for both adults and kids. It is a very relaxing place to just sit and read or have a meal outdoors with the family. The area around the building is so convenient. When it is warm out it is so great to be able to walk to buy groceries or run errands at Target. There are 2 Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts less than 5 minutes walking distance, a caffeine lovers dream! Overall, my family LOVES living here and we will continue to renew our lease as long as we live in the area.

Awesome staff! I've never encountered a leasing team so attentive and informed. The property is beautiful, obviously well maintained, and all amenities advertised are *actually available* I've worked and lived at properties where they were full of empty promises, so if that's what you're expecting here, forget it! I leased the same day and can't wait to make the Julian my home as soon as next week!

I’m taking the time to write this review because The Julian/Bozzuto provide the best property management & maintenance I’ve ever experienced when renting. They’re very responsive to feedback and issues, helpful, friendly, and proactive. Facilities, appliances, and everything are modern. Apartment building is quiet; I’m sensitive to noise and yet I barely hear noises - the elevator ding right outside my door, dogs barking nextdoor, footsteps overhead, thuds, highway in the near distance, etc. - all sounds are muted and don’t disturb me. Regular upkeep and daily cleaning of the common areas. This place is top-notch. Convenient location (5 minute walk to Fair Lakes Shopping Center), beautiful little nature preserve adjacent to the apartment complex, excellent walking paths around the area, etc. It’s all of these details that make the difference between a tolerable apartment living experience and a pleasant one which, in the end, has been worth paying the relatively higher rent & fees. I’ve lived here less than a year.

I rented this apartment for the modern kitchen. It is clean, well maintained and very quiet. The pool and gym is a plus but the office and maintenance staff takes excellent care of me and no one bothers me. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby that I can walk too so the location is great. Great place to live.

I've lived here for about a year and the building is very quiet and clean. I've never heard my neighbors through my walls or above me. If I ever needed maintenance they came either the same day or the next day. Staff has always been quick to respond and very friendly. I loved the closed garage and it always had plenty of spaces available. I feel/felt very safe here. It is worth the price and would love to continue living here if I didn't have to leave for personal reasons.

The Julian is a pretty good value for the rent I pay! I did see the most recent reviews were 1 stars because of management, but it looks like management greatly improved, because all of my requests were taken care of the next day. There is some occasional noise that bugs me a little, but other than that, I find it hard to find a fault to this place. I do wish there were elevators on both sides of the building since trash and elevators are on only one side. If it wasn't for COVID, I'd definitely utilize the fitness center and pool more often. Location is very convenient for the stores, the space I have is very nice and accommodating, the appliances all work and have not broken down once, and it's wired for faster internet speeds which is a great help to me. I don't know when I'm allowed to be able to renew my lease, but when the time comes, I'd definitely renew it.

Avoid this apartment! Horrible management! Before I moved in, they promised to give me free parking for the 1st year. However, they keep charging me the parking fee month after month. When I talked to them about this, they just lied and said there is no such promises. For some reason, I travel a lot and sometimes I give them the rent in advance. They always deposit the check weeks before the date on the check. I told them in person that those checks are for the future rent, but they just ignore. They are greedy and the only thing they care is your money. Noise is another issue. Can you imagine that for a "luxury" apartment, the window is only single layer? You can hear everything outside. There are a lot of trucks day and night. You can clearly hear the air conditioner noise from the neighbor buildings. They have changed the management company three times. With those horrible services, no wonder they keep struggling.

This building is well located and the amenities are good too but its impossible to reach the management office. You could try calling them any time but they pick it up. This is an issue if you are working and need to reach them incase you have some mail pickup or guests etc. This is the first building that I've lived in where I've faced this issue. The last time, I left a vm, I received a call back after 1 whole week. Building management, pls change this as the inability of the residents to reach you makes our stay in this property very uncomfortable.

I'm an international student here in Virginia, I have lived this area about 3 years and moved 3 times. This apartment is best place to me and there are all convenience that I want. Leasing office staffs are friendly and kind, they always talk nice with smiley face. There are big shopping centers right across the street and the guest parking lot is maintained very well. I'm very proud of living in this apartment with good looking and good location.
