We love living here at the James. It is a totally different life style for us, having always lived in a large, single family home with a yard....BUT, everyone has helped make this adjustment easy, made us feel welcomed, and helped us whenever we've needed help.. Don't think we'll ever go back to the stresses of a single family home again....Let the younger families enjoy all that goes with that style of living . Right now, smaller is better for us, and we can use all of the amenities if (and when) we need them....Thank you, Pat

The lobby and front of the building in wonderful but if decide to live here you will soon seen it is undesirable. They say pet friendly but it isn’t even people friendly. Currently they have two unlivable units ongoing mass construction but won’t ever notify you about the work being done and if you are next to or below you will have equipment ran all day and night. I’ve personally had to use weeks of vacation because of this construction. And the customer service in dealing with any concerns is brushed under a rug.

We moved here almost two years ago in order to be near our family. It was a new experience moving from a large home to a condo, but the staff here at the James has made this move as smooth as possible...Actually, we are enjoying it so much, we may never move back into a single family home.....Great location...great staff....

I love the apartment. The 1 bed/1 bath apartment is super cute and very functional with plenty of space. The finishes are nice and modern and easy to keep clean. The gym is also great and has all the equipment needed for a full workout. No matter where you are in the building the balcony is a great addition and great for sunbathing, reading and enjoying a drink.

Finding an apartment in a good location to commute to Baltimore was tough. I wanted a good area but also not a long drive. Thus, Annapolis! The James stood out due to its hotel-style living and competitive rents. Also the concrete structure is so much better than a wood one in terms of noise. Making the decision was easy once I came to take an in-person tour. Always recommend traveling to look around the area before applying for rent. After the tour and moving in, everything has been very comfy and a great place to call home. Office staff are super nice and helpful with any questions or concerns. Maintenance is responsive and can be flexible with requests. Amenities are upkept. My neighbor experience has been great (keeping to themselves and not a lot of unreasonable noise). Being close to Whole Foods and other shops is super convenient. Great location overall - feel safe no matter the time of day. As long as the rent stays competitive, I can recommend living here and joining us at The James.

The James is a great place to live. Location is perfect (near highways, grocery, downtown annapolis), the residents are friendly and helpful and the apartments are just lovely. We love our balcony and the open lighting space. We are very happy living here !

I have only been here about a month, but my experience has been great so far. I looked extensively around Annapolis, and The James seems to me to be the best all around for the money. The units and amenities are very nice and very well maintained, and the office staff is all super friendly and extremely helpful. Coming from a single family house, I wasn't sure what to expect noise wise, but I the building is very quiet. All the residents I have met have been super friendly as well. I moved here "temporarily" but I can see making this home for much longer than I initially thought.

If you are looking for an apartment rental, you should strongly consider The James. The apartments and the common areas are all very well appointed and well maintained which makes living here an enjoyable experience. The leasing office staff is helpful and responsive. Putting these things together with the convenient location, I dont think you can beat it.

Weve been moved in for a month now and are very happy. The complex is clean, and takes pride in its appearance. We also feel very safe here as you have to use a fob to get into most amenities as well as the building. The location is WONDERFUL as we are close to so much but still tucked away! Our apartment is beautiful; all the appliances and upgrades show The James truly cares about its residents. We did an extensive search for apartments in Annapolis, and this is by far the best in our opinion. The only thing to note is that the dog park is very small. Our dog is a toy breed so its not an issue for us, but if it was bigger it could be perfect here.

The James has been a wonderful place to live! The staff is always extremely helpful and if an issue occurs maintenance fixes it right away. The community areas are always kept so clean and I have always felt safe living here. It is also an extremely pet friendly place to live with a dog park and dog wash! My favorite thing of all is the beautiful pool that is open all summer long!
The James has an excellent maintenance team. Very friendly and responsive.

The apartments are beautiful and the staff is courteous and professional. The location is great.
The issues are only from the non existence of a working rent cafe! Still paying for the amenities that we cant use! And the surface parking is non existent after 10PM. The maintenance crew is outstanding! They are efficient, effective and professional!

I am very pleased with living at The James . The staff is most cordial and always willing to help.
Im confident this would never be used to advertise, but again, I LOVE The James! -24 hour gym. -Walk on floors wrong and theyre damaged -Walls can be thin, doors allow allot of sounds to come through -Many doors internally have never closed right or at all. Assume I will be blamed and charged. -Walls are easily scuffed and tarnished. -Can be described as fake nice I truly love this place and potential which is why Im being honest. I only fear most times the priority is profit, not people. So of course the above happens as status quo
This place is amazing in all aspects. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and respectful. If any problems occur they respond right away and make sure everything is in order. The location is perfect as well with everything nearby. I could not have asked for a better place to live.

We toured 6 luxury apartment communities around Annapolis and we ultimately decided to choose The James because of the following: wonderful amenities, caring and professional staff, serene ambience away from the hustle and bustle... but still near the town center/groceries/shopping, different options of apartment layouts to choose from, covered parking, hardwood floors in the main living area, appliances are updated, the lobby always smells so clean and hotel like, and feels safe.

The James luxury apartments are safe, clean, great amenities and community and well managed by Dyana the property manager. Ikeema and Khalilah also do a tremendous job with handling and interacting with the tenants.
