It's where Pocahontas was kidnapped in 1613 … and where George Washington lived as a child. Stafford, located along the Potomac River and including part of the Quantico Marine Corps Base, is located along I-95 about 40 miles southwest of Washington DC. Stafford, a large CDP with a population of about 4,400, is the county seat for Stafford County.
This fascinating town features several historic destinations, great shops and restaurants, and easy access to Quantico on its north end and historic Fredericksburg to the south. Accokeek Furnace Archeological Site is one of the area's historic sites, built around 1726. The Principio Company leased the land from George Washington's father, Augustine Washington.
Public Quarry at Government Island contains sandstone that was used to build the White House and the US Capitol building.

This is the place for mom and dad to live. The complex is full of activities. The community bus takes a weekly trip to Walmart. Residents are very friendly and welcoming. Staff is very helpful and good to the residents who live here. Great Place!

I have been here a little over a month and I find the Management to be AWESOME. I decided to downsize and visited the property 3 times before making my decision to move here. Each time I came away feeling informed and special. I know I asked a million questions, but this was going to be such a change for me. I never felt like a bother to anyone. I moved here and, not only have I found peace of mind, but I have met some very nice people. The grounds are very nice. I can't say enough great things about my decision to move here !!!

My husband and I have been living at The Gardens Of Stafford for six years and love it. despite frequent turn over of cleaning and maintenance staff, the manager, tonette, has made sure that services were made in a timely manner and works hard to make make this a friendly and safe environment. the building is kept clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. we are very happy here and we have moved family members into the complex. The maintenance staff we now have is courteous , friendly and efficient. our maintenance man is the best we have had here!
A new company is cleaning up the property. They need to clean up staff which is the gossip center and there is a lot of gossip used to make sure tenants stay in line. Bookeepers are nice people sometimes but are not really qualified to run the human side of a property like this. Tenant private information is passed around freely and used to help keep complaints down. People move out as fast as they move in for good reasons.
