Property Ratings at The Emory - Altoona
Newly, built and maintained property. Staff is very professional, organized, and accessible. Management has taken action to remove non-tenant vehicles which helps to have ample parking. Some tenants are very neat. Others tend to live unkempt. As we move into the 4th and 5th years of existence it would be nice to evaluate stair and hallway carpeting for extraction as well as touch up painting.
I personally love living here. It’s quiet, the property staff is friendly and helpful and al thought I’ve had to request for several different maintenance issues the maintenance team has always showed up within a timely matter and fixed everything properly.
Great staff and great place to live. Very dog friendly neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and attentive to any needs or issues that arise. Great location.
Nice place to live. Accepts large dog breeds. Clean place to live. Amenities are a great plus! The management crew do a great job at community involvement.
It’s Awesome. The rooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, is super clean and nice. Look and color place is very nice, the property manager was veery helpful.
Since moving in, everything has been great! The staff has been more than helpful and made it easy with the moving in process. Also, the amenities have been great!
Everything has been great so far through our lease! We haven’t had any issues with the neighbors, amenities, or the apartment itself! Management is great and always friendly!
Been living here for almost half a year and I still enjoy the amenities and things they put up throughout the year! I love attending the parties and seeing the little one play!
Employee are great. No issues all concern address quickly love the pool during the summer. Would recommend if looking for a place to live. Apartment does greet events for residents
Love this place more and more each day! The staff is so fun to interact with, the atmosphere and amenities are phenomenal, and the apartments are beautiful.
Great complex for your first apartment would recommend to all my friends and family, great amenities and great neighbors and the dog park is a great place for your furry friends to play.
So far so good, this place also has a great community! I would definitely recommend these apartments to friends and family. They get a ton of bonus points with the extra doggie wash station!!
Overall. Very good. Maintenance of the grounds and infrastructure is better than most places. Happy to see vehicles that do not belong here get towed away. Good activities for the kids and families. The cost of living here is a little on the high side.
Worst rental experience I've ever had. Had to remind the property of the terms listed in the lease agreement to ensure the terms were met
It's alright place to live.. It's close to a lot of stores and restaurants and Adventureland is right up the street! The Emory itself is a one of a kind.
The apartment manager is great and works with you as much as she can and is very understanding. Most people are friendly and most of the neighbors are quiet. My family has lived here for a few years and we’ve had lots of noisy neighbors but they don’t last long. Things change pretty often here so that’s a little confusing but overall it’s great here.
Extremely courteous and professional staff, I was 65-year-old retired businessman, and I was impressed with everybody here so far… I would recommend this community to everybody
Overall, the apartment has some really nice amenities. The pool area is attractive, though it can get a bit crowded, especially considering the number of buildings in the complex. I love the large windows in the units, they let in a lot of natural light and give the interior a bright, modern feel. The design and finishes inside the apartment are also a big plus. One downside is that our building occasionally had some noisy neighbors during the night, which affected the overall quietness. Still, the positives have mostly outweighed the negatives in our experience.
I like it and I'm happy with my place because it's comfortable, safe and nice! I can also enjoy the office or offices, where they are always clean and pleasant.
So far so good! My dog-ter and I have made a home here and we’re both comfortable, we’re at peace, we’re happy. We haven’t had any issues so things are good!
Great Staff and Clean Place to Live! Always attentive to any requests or inquiries. Very dog friendly. Great location and close to many shopping and restaurants. Recommend
I've been here for 2 years and love it... feels so homey...alittle expensive but you get what you pay for and I feel like a a Queen living here!!! The Maintenance is REALLY awesome too... Thanxs for making my Home a Home!!!
We moved into The Emory about two weeks ago, and our experience has been nothing short of excellent so far. The move-in process was incredibly easy, and the unit itself is absolutely beautiful. We love the open layout and high-quality appliances, and it’s been very quiet and peaceful. The clubhouse is one of our favorite features—it’s a great space to study, play games, or meet other residents. There’s plenty of parking, and we feel very safe here. I would absolutely recommend The Emory to anyone looking for a new home—there’s truly nothing else this nice in Altoona.
Good place to live. Management handled issues professionally when I first moved in last year. Haven’t had any other issues since so I haven’t had to call them up but they’re very responsive to any questions I have. Would love to see more food trucks come around again especially with the pool being open! :)
A beautiful and pet friendly place to go home! Staff is welcoming and kind. Neighbors are often friendly but not always polite about common areas
I lived at The Emory for almost 3 years before relocating to Mexico to be with my husband. The facilities and staff are top notch. Office staff were always ready with a friendly smile. Community engagement activities offered a variety of opportunities for residents to meet each other. The recent pool party had a good turnout, and we really enjoyed it. Maintenance work requests were completed quickly and to a high standard. Most often within 20 minutes of submission. Everyone worked hard to keep the community inviting. My elderly dog and I appreciated that The Emory is pet friendly, and we used the pet wash on more than one occasion. I loved living at The Emory, and if you're considering it, I'm sure you'll love it too.
I like living here. Apartment is nice. Pool, workout room are nice areas Dog wash is very convenient. complex is clean Employees are friendly.
I love the community I have been here at the Emory for almost 3 years. Staff is amazing. Only issue I wish people would pick up after themselves and their pets.
Amazing staff, clean community spaces, and overall nice living spaces. This is definitely I’da place you would love to live at! Great place for families too!
Nice area to live in. Neighbors and staff are friendly. Amenities are nice! Our dogs love playing in the dog park. Never hear our neighbors through the walls.
Clean, and safe environment! Maintenance is quick! Been here for the past 4 months, and love the area. Right next to the outlet mall, target, walmart, and Aldis!
Well maintained. Grounds, lot, and mail area are exceptional. Clubhouse is beautiful. Good place for pet owners. Carpets are kept up. Mtce. Team responds quickly.
Really nice, spacious kitchen and living room… the list could go on. Definitely worth the viewing if you are considering. Staff are really friendly and helpful as well as responsive to inquiries! Dog friendly- nice neighborhood.
From applying, to getting the keys, and getting moved in was so simple, fast and easy! Staff upfront was easy to get ahold of, and helped with any questions I had! Also the helpful options you can choose from when applying for the apartment was cool. 10/10 recommend.
Everything around the complex clean and well kept. The move in process was super easy. The decor of the apartments in modern and refreshing. Appreciate how quiet things are as well!
The apartment itself is beautiful and maintenance does an awesome job of communicating when they will be coming into the units for checks on certain things. They also respond quickly if anything is needing repaired.
There isn’t as much of a sound barrier as I expected. Not sure if it’s different with other apartments though. We can hear someone cough and that’s a little weird. Not a big deal but they should get that cough checked out. Otherwise fine
Been here for a couple of months now and it has been great experience so far! Maintenance is always super quick. No complaints. The only small thing is my particular building is often out of parking spaces but with the weather warming up it’s not a big deal.
Apartments are beautiful and modern. Absolutely love the gym and pool. Maintenance staff are always prompt and fix issues quickly. Only downside is I can hear my upstairs neighbor quite a bit especially when they have shoes on and paint chips easily. Some residents are very inconsiderate and leave garbage in the stairs as well. I think it’s a pretty typical price for apartments these days. However, it would be nice to have water and garbage still included.
We moved from a couple hours away and needed a safe and clean apartment within a short time period. The staff have been super helpful, clear with their communication and happy to any questions or concerns! The Emory at Altoona cares about their tenants and goes above and beyond to host events for all ages and interest levels!
wonderful staff, even better neighbors. Loving the amenities and the morning coffee is outstanding. i cant imagine living anywhere else, by far exceeds my expectations.
I am very grateful for the accommodations that the office staff made to work with me on my move as I am going through a complex move situation. They answered any and all questions I had and even allowed me to view the unit and help with measurements.
great communication from the office always! the community is super pet friendly and I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable apartment!
It is better! There have been some bump lately but management has been working with us to resolve the issue which is very much appreciated
When moving back to Altoona and living on my own I was trying to figure out what apartment would be best in my interests. 6 months in and I do no regret moving into the Emory. Thankful for such a place!
We love it here. The staff is very friendly. Anytime we have had repair issues they are always on it. We appreciate that. We cannot wait until it warms up outside to enjoy the pool and fire pit.
Front staff is always courteous and helpful. Maintenance is always super fast. The apartment is cozy. I Love the appliances. Excited for my kids to enjoy the pool this summer
I highly enjoy The Emory, my partner and I enjoy having a safe, fun, and secure apartment building. We enjoy the amenities such as tanning and dog grooming areas.
Staff is very friendly. Quick about salting sidewalks in the winter! Really enjoy the hot coco in the clubhouse. Our dogs love playing in the dog park!
This is a location easy to.get just about anywhere nice close by shopping, friendly community, comfortable living , fun activities in the club house.
