Located 15 miles south of Downtown Denver, the West Hampden area sits partly in Denver, but its proximity to and overlap with suburbs such as Englewood, Aurora, and Lakewood give it a suburban feel with an urban address. Predominantly new construction fills the area, ensuring that renters and buyers have access to beautiful homes and apartments with modern amenities. Parks and walkways to the south along the Cherry Creek Reservoir keeps residents entertained and active all year round, while Interstate 275 and 25 will put you in Downtown Denver in no time.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The District at Hampden South
Love my apartment. It is roomy and comfortable. Looks like new.
The apartment, gym, and whenever the pool is working is nice and they clean the apartment pretty good before you move in. If you have a family I suggest living on the first floor only because once 10p hits and make noise such as walking around or your child walking you will most definitely get a noise complaint through e-mail. Be careful with the complaints you get from my experience any resident can say anything and they will just take it and believe it without getting any proof. You don’t get 1 covered parking like other places so finding a parking spot after a certain time is a nightmare.
Cortland Mountain Vista is visually pleasant, spacious, and easy for commuting. Unlike many other apartment complexes, I actually feel like the team here cares about my quality of life.
I have lived in The District in 3 different apartments all with issues with alot of different managers my experience has not been good but I do have a roof over my head.
While being at the District I can honestly say that my girls and I feel safe. I don't mind paying the price because they make it worth it here. Especially with the way they have been fixing and changing things around the community. I love calling "The District", home.
This a quiet, well take care of community, where the staff is courteous and care about your needs.
The office staff are all amazing. The level of customer service is beyond anything I would have expected. I chose Cortland Mountain Vista because it is close to my kids. I renewed my lease because the staff make it a wonderful place to live.
Cortland Mountain Vista is gorgeous! Clean, well-maintained, and affordable! The staff are wonderful, the maintenance crew are AMAZING, and I want to give a special shout out to Marina! She’s incredible, and truly has made the whole experience!
My stay here has been short, however I appreciate the friendliness of the office staff. Like any complex there are things to be improved, but having people around who are professional and helpful is a plus.
We really love this community, the people that work here treat you like family. The pool and gym are always clean and well taken care of, the grounds are neat and orderly as well. The staff always makes sure you have a comfortable, safe place to live.
I've never seen such a lousy community like the Elysian in the district. There’s no one to answer your questions correctly, they don't reply to your emails, the manager that I talked with has to consider good behavior with the tenants, and I'm not satisfied at all with talking to her. They must be able to fix everything in the units, but they don't care. They should bring people as a reception who know about the rules and building, not an intern. I would never suggest this building to anyone else. There are so many issues with this building.

I really enjoy living at Courtland Mountain Vista. Mesa apartment living st it‘s Best!
Great community to live in. Highly accessible location. Friendly staff/management who took care of my requests/concerns. Bernard has been fantastic in helping with the leasing process.
Jion-Jain was my leasing agent & she is amazing. Very thorough and not a single hitch in my process. Cortland employees are very friendly and helpful.
Fabulous place to call home! Beautifully kept property - fantastic office and maintenance staff!
The management team here is second to none The property management Here is hands on The front of the house team gives exceptional customer service. I've been living here 3 years and my needs have always been taken care of Big shout out to the property manager For keeping this property Running smooth The management team here is the best of the yes.
Elysian at the District is a very nice place to live as well as a location.
The community is absolutely beautiful. The staff is very friendly and they worked well with us through the leasing process
Quick and easy problem solving issues! Friendly staff! Great apartment! Overall amazing community and I enjoy my stay here
Cortland Mountain Vista has a large team of kindhearted people to assist you with their many amenities, apartments, and community events. It's a safe complex in an accessible part of town with available parking and multiple ways in and out.
So happy living here at the Elysian. We will definitely stay here until we buy a house.
The District has the potential to be a great place to live. Just needs to hold tenants accountable. Ensure that the living area is acceptable for everyone. Make sure the walk area is free of garbage.
Living at Odessa is great. The location is super convenient, and the community is great! I love calling this place home.
Extremely poor property management. The luxury community is no longer luxury.
The floor plans and amenities are great. Especially the direct access garage. I would like to see the amenities be consistently clean.
HOMELESS PEOPLE & CAR BREAK INS/THEFT! This place has so many homeless people and can’t break ins it’s unreal. The staff and property does NOTHING ABOUT IT! You can literally just walk through the door into garage and there’s nothing stopping thief’s from doing that. If you want your car broken into or stolen then move here. Horrible safety
Great location, great facilities and friendly staff that work within the means they have
Go to another complex. The maintanence staff is GREAT! The office staff is ok, but the complex is not what they claim it to be. Half the stuff they promised us was never received and it is overpriced.
Great place to live! Nice community and very conveniently located.
It’s a beautiful property in a fantastic location.
Elysian at the District has a new owner and management. The community is getting a major facelift and many new improvements! Love my Elysian!
This is an outstanding place to live. The office & maintenance team go above & beyond! A beautiful community!
Odessa at the District is an ideal location, beside shops, restaurants, a Target, a grocery store etc. I have lived here 21 months now. The team does a great job keeping the apartments quiet, clean, safe and secure. I hope to continue my residency. Five stars.
We love living here. The location, our apartment , the amenities are perfect for us.
The property management is kind and helpful. They work hard to maintain a safe, clean environment for all residents.
The District is a nice place to live. Good amenities, including a pool and gym, lots of good retail stores and restaurants on the property and in the surrounding area. The lease rates are a little on the high side compared to other properties in the area, but the location is great for commuting anywhere in the city. The Management Staff is very nice, and is quick at responding to our needs.
Maintenance issues are always addressed in a timely manner
It’s a nice and affordable area. Convenient when you need to go grocery shopping it’s all in driving distance.
Nice apartment complex and convenient location for attendees of CVCC.
I have lived at the District East for three years. Overall, I have been satisfied with the community. The maintenance and janitorial staff work very hard to keep the building clean and looking nice. I like that there is a resident event each month. It would be awesome if you could have more resident events more frequently. I would also love to see the gym on the District East get updated similar to the gym located on the District West. It would also be nice if the temperature of the pool water could be increased. It is pretty cold most of the time.
Odessa at the District apartments are nice and quiet. The office reps are very nice and maintenence very prompt and nice. The hallways really need to be vacuumed and carpets shampooed regularly.
It’s a nice place to live. Quiet, safe and secure. The community team use to be very helpful not so much now.
I do not stress over maintenance issues over at my building or Unit. The times where I have had to submit a work order to our office (The District), it’s been always a pleasant process. Since the moment I submit the WO, they just contact me to inform me that WO was received, then I received a prompt call scheduling an inspection for material. Then Reicardo (maintenance team member), made me aware of the timelines and mentioned the name and information of technician that was going to show up at my place. Giovanni stopped by, rang the bell and waited. He explain the process and told us that if we leave our unit, to lock it and he would gain access when he was ready to start. My family and I came back from running some errands, and a clean unit was found with everything fixed and in place. Giovanni also left a kind note explaining the repairs and leaving a card with the complex’s contact info for questions or concerns about the repairs performed. Thank you “The District and Greystar!” I recommend you to all friends and family.
The district is great! Sometimes the elevators can take a while to arrive but every resident was really sweet. The apartment was clean and I feel safe at all times in the district
I really enjoy living at the District, convenient and modern in comparison to other apartments in the area.
From the start to the leasing office from the maintenance team they're excellent and have helped me in every shape and form
The leasing agents have been friendly. Our home is as advertised and suits our life near perfectly. The location is convenient. It would be exactly what we hoped for, if our neighbors weren't so insanely loud.
I have never felt more safe living in an apartment. I love the style of the buildings/decor. I love that it is exclusive in that there are only three residence buildings and I love the interior of my apartment. The grounds are kept up nicely. It’s like living in my own private little city. Thank you!
It’s a pretty safe neighborhood. Rent is kinda high, but all utilities (even cable and internet) except electric are included so it balances out.
I have had multiple problems with my AC unit. Maybe because I’ve lived in the same apartment for years. It seems to break or come off the wall every few weeks. The team seems a little rude because I need it fixed often. But I’ve lived here for years and just need help with the AC. Hopefully in the future that it is a faster fix.
