This is a great place to live! It is right off Glenwood but it’s not too loud (and my apartment faces the street!), it’s walking distance to great places downtown. I feel pretty safe here. The maintenance team is awesome and fix problems very timely and always do it the right way the first time! They are so reliable!

Had some issues with the apartments cleanliness when I moved in but the workers there are so fantastic they helped me get it resolved asap! Super accommodating staff and the apartment is beautiful in a fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Glenwood area in Raleigh.

The parking policy has been made worse and a detriment towards residents. The management is nonresponsive, prone to "mistakes" ending with current and future residents paying more than what was told.

Beautiful view, beautiful room. Very nice staff, areas are always clean. Security is taken seriously. I liked all staff members they were very nice when trying to sign the lease. The pool is always active and the gym is always clean. The place is close to the Clubs which is amazing already.

The apartment itself is amazing! Great layout, lots of space, the balcony is big and the location is great if you are wanting to be in the Glenwood south area. The actual building itself… that’s a different story. The stairwell smell like urine, the hallways are hit or miss…. Some days the smell is ok, some days it smells like moldy food. If they could get the smell of the leasing office to the halls, that would be amazing. We have had 0 communication from the property manager, which is odd to me. Typically when we have moved into apartments in the past the manager always introduces themselves and welcome us the property. Maybe they just don’t do that here. Our interactions with the Assistant Manager and our leasing agent has been good. Solid 2 stars overall. The apartment itself 5 stars!

The staff have been great to me from the jump. Everyone has been super responsive, maintenance requests are done in a timely manner, and the rustic look of the rooms really drew me here.

Overall great space. I feel it’s a bit overpriced, but what complex isn’t these days. Maintenance is great. They just changed parking rules and permitting and it’s become a real nuisance.

Living and amenities are great. Front desk people are really nice. Can get loud but i guess that's to be expected with the location. Only thing I wish was better would be packages. Drivers constantly go on Boylan avenue and get lost. And I've lost 2 packages so far to drivers just leaving them by lockers instead of bringing them in.

Overall we love living here! Noise is very rarely an issue and the neighborhood is great. I will say there is issues with people letting their pets pee on the carpeting in the hallway, in the elevator, and in the stairwell. Parking is free as a resident in the deck which is really nice.

love most of it- our issue is that we did not request an ADA floor plan . the counters are shorter than normal, the main room shower isn’t nice like the other, and there are grab bars around the bathroom

Excellent location, staff, amenities and pricing. The gym is rarely busy and the equipment is new, and the the pool area is nice in the summer. Been here for 4 years now and I would genuinely recommended TheDevon for anyone looking for a home in the city.

I just recently moved in and have been loving my apartment. There is very little noise and I get a lot of light through my windows. The city lights are beautiful at night and I can’t wait to see what downtown has to offer.

People are really nice! The pool and gym are great. Love my apartment. The fire alarm in the middle of the night needs to be less frequent but I don’t know if there’s even anything they could do about that.

Incredible Management Staff at the Devon. The Residents within this building lean towards the college, to young adult type professionals. If you enjoy being close to everything within walking distance, and a general college dorm type residential atmosphere, then this would be the place for you.

This is a dorm building. Very loud, noisy residents. We have called police 3 times due to people being so drunk and rude on their balconies. Dog pee in the garage and hallways/stairwells. A few weekends ago there was blood and urine in the elevator. Pool parties EVERY sat/sun in the summer so loud your windows shake. Fire alarms have been pulled 2x in the middle of the night in the year we've been here. Broken garage entrance/exit so anyone can park in the garage and there are no spaces left on your floor. TINY garage where college kids barrel down at you. The crowd feels like 21 year olds. We tried to get out of our lease but the buy out options were absurd. The interior is nice looking, but so not worth the noise rude people from Glenwood which we didn't anticipate having not been from this area. It's so sad because people don't take care of their pets here and they bark all day and so desperate to pee they do it in the hall. Outside the Devon it smells like urine always. Not uncommon to find beer cans littered everywhere after the weekend. Highly regret living here and would strongly recommend not living in the downtown area unless you are a 21 year old still looking to get drunk every night and pay way overpriced rent for it. There are many great placed outside the downtown for 3-400$ less

Do you miss living the frat life? The 4:00AM parties, vomit in elevators, amenities that never work but you still pay direct fees for? How about fighting for parking? If you answered yes to any of the previous questions then the Devon425 is perfect for you! My favorite things is that the parking gate has been broken for going on 5 months now allowing absolutely anyone off the street to park in the garage! Not only do they offer free parking to residents but also the community as there is NO SECURE PARKING FOR 5 MONTHS and still is not.The best part was coming out to my car one morning only to discover some passed out underage kid in a 90’s Pontiac Sunfire that was running with the windows down and some young man passed out covered in vomit in the backseat (they didnt live there. Thankfully after waiting for 911 to arrive the kid was fine but has drunkenly parked in our garage. Oh and I forgot! They were super nice and slammed their red Pontiac Sunfire door into my white Range Rover. How exciting is it that I can remember this awesome experience from my ‘luxury’ apartment complex? Moving on the concept of luxury is so fun! My favorite luxury amenities are: the secured parking that is not, the gas grill that hasn’t worked since July and currently still is not, the high-speed elevators that are usually broken or have a nice corner full of vomit, the pool furniture riddled with cigarette holes, the pet area that wreaks of urine from 100. I voiced my initial concerns with management and Courtney was great at providing excuses for every single thing I mentioned, the parking gate is broken and must be replaced, the rowdy crowd had been fined for their chaos, the grill is broken and needs a warranty replacement. After this conversation I have officially accepted she has no grasp of what management is. I have no desire to hear your excuses but would love to hear solutions. Hiring private security on busy nights on Glenwood so that the garage is secured if the gate is broken, providing a temporary grill until the built in unit can be repaired, etc. In summary if you are looking for a poorly maintained, lackluster experience, mislabeled luxury, and management that has no grasp of what management is then the Devon is for you! And you too can be a Devoneer’ as clueless office staff refers to you as in the cheerful emails each week when they tell you how excited they are to host a ‘food truck event’ each week only for the food trucks to cancel almost every time.

The Devon not only had a great location and neighborhood, but the amenities and staff are 2nd to none. The staff is always thinking of ways to engage residents with games and food trucks. I’ve been so thankful for this during COVID. I rarely ever hear my neighbors. The concrete is a huge selling point!

I moved here over 1 year ago from out of state and I immediately felt welcomed by the community and residents. The location is great for branching out into the city, but it is also lovely to just stay within the building! The design of my apartment is beautiful, and I feel very comfortable and safe living here. Very glad I chose The Devon.

Great staff that always make you feel welcome and part of a community, instead of just a number. They will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. The apartments themselves are made well, you cannot hear your neighbors, and you can't beat the amenities, along with the proximity to downtown. I feel like I absolutely lucked out finding The Devon. I could not ask for a better experience from the first moment I was contacted by the leasing office. They were so incredibly kind, helpful and informative and I could tell they truly care about their residents. Their professionalism and expertise made my move in experience absolutely seamless I was really so impressed. I originally looked into The Devon because of coworkers that live here and love it and now I see why they do I really could not be happier with where I live!

The Devon Four25 has declined of the years. All corner parking spots are reserved, elevators are a hit or miss on any given day, electricity is a given to go out during natural disasters including rainy days and wind speeds above average. Seems there are more community events for the social types.

When moving back to downtown Raleigh there was no other consideration than living at the Devon Four25. While not the newest building on the block, the location in Glenwood South (a block from Glenwood), a solid construction (equals quiet: you can't hear your neighbors next door nor above you), and the friendliness of the management and staff led to not look anywhere else. Truth is, I *have* been in some of the newer buildings and while certain aspects are arguably nicer (lobby, hallways), the apartments themselves are not as nice. If you're looking for an urban feel to living in downtown Raleigh that's in the best part of town to live in, check out the Devon.

My boyfriend and I called to get information and Courtney was so unbelievably rude. She acted like we were bothering her by asking questions. Ultimately she was our main reason for not leasing here. It seems like such a beautiful property I am very disappointed but I wouldn’t want to live there and have to deal with her bad attitude every day.

Best apartment complex in Raleigh by far. You cannot beat the solid Concrete Construction. The units themselves are dead silent and there are absolutely 0 water issues like most of the new wood-framed apartment complexes that have been put up in recent years. I'm an engineer so details like these are extremely important. The units are also very well-thought-out, the space is used quite effectively and the appliances are top-notch. The owners definitely put in the extra money to make sure they had a property that was built to last a very long time. Nicely done!

Ive been living at The Devon 425 for almost a year now and I still love my apartment as much as the first day. The size is perfect for me, the kitchen is absolutely amazing and the space itself is gorgeous. The only challenges Ive encountered are trying to keep the fruit flies away and trying to get my bike in and out of the building and storage. Our doors are not bike friendly.
