I have been here 11yrs in the same apartment and I would recommend it to anyone. There has been many management teams. The current staff is amazing and Taline & Helena are superb. I would not want to live anywhere else. Activities to socialize and safety is a high priority. Efficiency with knowledge & caring concern is their management team. Maintenance is available to all.

DO NOT LIVE HERE- it’s as simple as that. unless you want to be robbed from money and safety, and have a management team that doesn’t care about you and just wants money. they will promise you a unit with certain features, then put you in a completely different one and charge you the same price. they will leave all gates open and easy to access so anyone can come in. (there have been SWAT raids, meth busts, and gun point robberies). they will let their maintenance team enter an occupied unit with no notice, and not leave even after noticing it’s not vacant (we were in shower, and he still wouldn’t leave) they will make you pay a “pet DEPOSIT” (key word there), but won’t return it upon move out, and make you pay full price for what it’s supposed to cover. genuinely a horrible place that just wants your money.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go somewhere else. Their management is crap. Have everything in writing or else they WILL screw you over! Management sucks. The maintenance men were the only decent thing about this place. Trust me, go somewhere else!

Raul is amazing! He always goes an extra mile and is very respectful and careful with me and my apartment . He always cleans up after himself and other. perfect example of customer service. While living here, Him and the other staff always are so sweet. couldn’t ask for a better place to call Home. Taline And Adrian are so amazing! They always make sure to put a smile on my face, and they’re very sweet! They call to check up and Help me with my problems! I hope the staff stays as long as I live here. HOME. thank you Cortona!!

The community was too rude to respond and they add a lots of charges on customers after they left. For me they charged more than 2 months of rent as a final move out statement and unfair charges in the statement. BTW, I just stayed there for 8 months. I thought this review helps someone else so posting it here.
The property is unmaintained with dog poop, garbage, and old airconditioning units that go out often, management is a revolving door that will do everything to get you in a unit and nothing to keep you.
I lived there for 2.5 years, the condition of the unit was really bad when moved in not the same as the model, the walls needed fresh paint, bathroom nasty needed to be refinished specially bath tub, they have structural problem floor started sinking in, you only allowed AT&T for internet since the owner gets some financial gain not allowing other provider and you will an internet through a phone line, grounds unkept, breezeways and street lights are out the whole time lived there. You put in service request and you get an email saying complete and no one even came to fix the issue. By the way the management & Corporate are aware of these issues.
I have lived here for two months, and the apartments seems really nice. The washing machine was filthy, the dryer was broken, microwave broken, and still is broken, one of the light fixture had the wrong size bowl, and it shattered everywhere, but all that doesn't really matter. It the fact I have sent emails, call them, gone down there, and every time i get a hold of someone the never have a solution just we will have someone call you. Literally have to go chase down that person to get your phone call.
The staff isn’t that knowledgeable due to poor training and leadership from management. They don’t reply or respond to anyone’s calls yet they will be ademate to only contact when they need something from you. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate from the loud parties after hours to not keeping any gates secure in a gated community for days and weeks on end to getting locked in the clubhouse or the ridiculously limited parking spaces in general. They don’t care for their tenants just as long as their keeping people entertained. They also have a pool table with no pool sticks which is as pointless as the office phone.
I do NOT recommend this apartment complex. Since the manager changed a couple of months ago, I've not had one service request completed correctly. I've been told one story about another about the hot tub spa and not it's not going to be repaired till May. I've been asking since the beginning of February. I've had one service request either cancelled or marked completed with nothing done. I'm moving out by June!

Cortona has been a fantastic place to live. I have lived here two years and have always been very happy. The management changed in October 2015 and I'll admit, I was a little bit nervous, not knowing what to expect. But even after the change the staff and maintenance has remained outstanding - dare I say it got even better. I feel very safe, the neighbors are friendly, and the location is awesome - close to freeway and tons of shopping, including Whole Foods and Target. Really, you can't ask for any more from an apartment complex.
This is the perfect apartments in allen, it's right off the high way and has all the fast food restaurants across the street so everything is so convenient. I never have neighboor problems
The office staff really knows what they are doing and the maintenance staff is very quick to resolve any issues. Some apartments have a detached garage included which is very nice to have and open/visitor parking is usually never an issue. The facilities are well maintained and the Cares team here is very good about having at least one monthly community event. The location here is awesome as well - anything you can think of is very close by and walkable. I would definitely recommend The Cortona.
I need lots of light and the A3 unit on the end of the building has a ton of windows and a nice patio. Being located next to the mall is also nice to walk to restaurants, etc. Color scheme is starting to age a bit but for the price, a really good place to live.
The floor plan is very spacious and excellent location, but management continues to raise rent year after year with no returning renter benefits. They don't upkeep the property very well, poor landscaping and subpar maintenance. Overall I would live here again if the price was right, solely for location and size. Great for pet owners.
