Interestingly, while the two hamlets are adjacently located, Lake Ronkonkoma resides mostly in the town of Brookhaven, while the hamlet of Ronkonkoma lies in the town of Islip. Been here 8 months and it was an adjustment but as the days go by and new locations open, station yards starts to feel more like it's own little city. Train being right across and now 3 good spots to enjoy. What's better than deciding to go out and all you have to do is go outside to enjoy a night of entertainment..

New construction apartments with plenty to do at the ground level. My partner and I just moved into The Core and we love it so far. We ran into a few issues with our unit that are common with new construction. Those issues were addressed instantly. If you make city money this is the best value you'll get for the commute. If you have your own vehicles, prioritize getting a parking spot with a bridge that goes straight to your unit.

I work in the city 3 times a week and when I tell you moving here has been a complete game changer I’m not kidding. It used to take me half an hour to get to the train and now it takes me 3 minutes (MAX!) it’s so great being a commuter and living at The Core! ??

Beautiful apartments in up-and-coming neighborhood. Easy access to the railroad station. Great leasing office staff. Only concern is tenants with dogs utilizing the public green to allow their dogs to relieve themselves. They seem to forget it’s a public space where other tenants use for exercising, social gathering and children play. Our kids will play in the grass area and tenants will allow their dogs to relieve themselves. Since we love the community so much, we are able to deal with the situation.

- valet trash is not working, no garbage was ever picked up. - 24/7 ventilation fan is working, it's too cold during winter, so it should be controlled by the renter. - hot and cold water is wrongly connected, or mislabeled. - windows are not fully open. - lovely hardwood floor - a quiet place to live. - great gym.

So far, so good. The Core management team is amazing. So many planned events for the residents and all done so well. The apartment is lovely and the building is safe. The common areas are beautiful and so clean. The one downside is the parking. Quite expensive on top of the monthly rent.

It’s been great so far and everyone here is super helpful! I’ve been able to get all my questions answered in a time my manor. The residents so far have been nice and engaging as well.

Responsive staff, nice place, covered parking. Amenities are great and plenty of restaurants opening soon. Quick access to the LIRR to get to the city easily.

I have loved living here. It is quiet even with all the construction. It is always clean. I love the live music nights. It has exceeded my expectations!!!

Very nice building , staff is amazing , courtyard is beautiful and all amenities. Wish it was a little cheaper considering the restaurants / bars aren’t open yet but beautiful place

Any time something is wrong we get ahold of the front desk and maintenance always comes up and fixes things and the complex was put together very well we love the Core!!!

I’m enjoying it so much. It feels like a home and the staff have assisted a lot with any questions or concerns. The common areas are kept clean. I enjoy the events that staff put together for residents it’s very unique and welcoming.

The parking situation has been a problem since I moved in. The price of parking should be included in rent. Also, the fire alarms go off for no reason and wake me up. The dumpsters are slammed outside and wake me up. They are Way too loud every morning when emptying the dumpsters. The appliances are always broken.
