I've been living here since May 2023, and it has been a wonderful experience. The management staff is very friendly and attentive. I felt welcomed when I moved in. They regularly organize events to include tenants like movie nights, pool parties and coffee stands. They seem to work hard to make things enjoyable. Maintenance answered the same day to an AC leak I had. Amenities like the patio, pool, game room and gym are quite great. I love walking and seeing the ducks, geese, fish, turtles and squirrels, even though some areas are still being remodeled. Carpets are being renewed too, but this has taken a bit long. However, it is still nice to see they are working on it. In conclusion, I would happily recommend this place to a friend or relative. Thank you!

I have lived here for 11 years and plan to live here for the rest of my life. I am 71 years old and have felt so safe and joyful here. The management team is kind and responsive. They really spoil us! It has so much natural beauty and is quiet and relaxing. They have been remodeling and renovating the past two years and the results are breathtaking!

this complex will penny pinch for any minor thing all while not being able to provide the amenities paid for by tenets, as of the time writing this review only 4 of the 16 washer and dryer units work as-well as the the fact the court yard is poorly maintained and not lit all while cosmetic changes are made leaving the hallways smelling very strongly of chemicals to give the appearance of luxury living while not providing it. all this on top of the fact that if an apartment is listed as available it may not actually be available as was the situation with me. after being told i’d have an apartment by a certain date and all dues payed i was ghosted by the apartment till 2 weeks after agreed move in date but they still made sure to make me pay full months rent for that and the next month.

We have not had AC for two weeks now with the heat index getting as high as 106 degrees. They clearly have no urgency to fix it. Management doesn’t care about you or your problems, It isn’t worth living here.
Quite, Affordable, Friendly Neighbors and Staff. I don't ever recall having any complaints except maintenance walking in unannounced.
Like my title says I spent the last four years at the columns and never had a problem. The staff has always been courteous and amazingly friendly. The maintenance is always been on time usually the same day or the following day. The amenities there have always been open to me and are fantastically well maintained despite the age of the building, I have never see myself living out until I got in a relationship and looking for a place with more room for me and a doggy. That is only real complaint; no dogs or cats but still a fantastic place to live.
For the last four years I have lived here, and I have loved every day there! From the staff to the actual apartments are great. They office staff has always been warm, open, and always willing to help out and make sure everything is taken care of. The on site maintenance are just as impressive, fast and efficient and normally fixed my issue on the same day if not the next. The walls are almost sound proof! I could crank up my games or TV almost to full and my neighbors never heard me unless they were trying to. I recommend anyone looking for a great apartment for a good price to look here and take a tour, you will want to sign right away!
Columns IV is a great place to live! It is not the most luxurious of Springfield's apartments but it makes up for that with its affordable pricing. The Columns has a nice pool and hot tub, that are its hilights, in the center of its courtyard. Come today and enjoy the comfortable and relaxing envirement at Columns IV apartments.
Columns IV is older, but well kept and has a lot of great amenities. Everything but electricity is paid and comes with standard cable
Built in the '70's, its a bit run down. Not bad over all. Safe, quiet. Laundry facilities on-site. Pool tables (near the laundry) just got new felt put on. Nice pool, tennis courts. Most people seem nice. Typical apartment living. Was fairly easy to apply and get qualified, and was able to move in within days of my application. Really helped me out when I needed it. 6 month, 1 year and month to month options available. Just signed my 2nd 6-month lease. (cheaper rent when you sign a lease than month to month.) Dont see myself living her "for life", but it works for now.
The Columns IV is a rather nice place to live. I have a 2 bedroom, which faces the courtyard. Aside from children playing in the courtyard being a bit loud, the view is nice. The amenities are wonderful. There's a game room by the laundry room in each section, and mens and womens workout rooms, with saunas. Pool, tennis court, half basketball court, a sand beach with volleyball net, picnic tables and simple grills round out the courtyard. As for the apartments themselves, they're okay. I've lived here over 5 years and haven't had many complaints. I recently had some slow service on a maintenance call, but they eventually got around to it. The main problem I have with maintenance is that sometimes you turn in multiple problems you'd like fixed at one time, and they don't do ALL of them.
I love this place! The fact that it's round makes it unique; it also ensures an isolation rare in apartments in the middle of the city. The center courtyard is spectacular - lots of amenities (pool, hot tub, tennis and basketball, sand volleyball, putting green, even horseshoes), but also landscaping that's beautiful and creates a private park. Secure, with a fence around the whole place and only one gated entrance. Quiet, considering proximity to major arterials. Unbelievably nice staff and maintenance crew!! Very congenial atmosphere - people are friendly and polite, and you get to know your neighbors. Extra storage compartments for each unit; men's and women's workout areas; game rooms, ice machine; soda machines; four laundry rooms - everything you need. Even within walking distance of several fast food restaurants. Built in the 1970s, so it's a bit older; newer places get more attention, which means this apartment complex is less flash and more substance. Great place to live!
Columns Iv apartments in Springfield Missouri is one of the best apartments I have lived in. they have security, fun and entertainment and relaxation, they also offer many things for the relatively low rent. Columns IV is a secure, fun and entertaining place to make your home. First Columns IV Apartments has security. One way they offer security is the security officer at the front and only entrance to the complex. They also have security because all the almost 300 apartments are in closed in the huge round concrete and rock building connected in four sectioned corridors all connected. the four double doors that lead to the one of four foyer's " entrance hallway's" only a person "tenant" with a key or permission from a tenant can enter into the building. if a guest arrives at the security guard shack there licence plate number is recorded and they are asked who they are here to see. The fun, entertainment and relaxation starts in the center of the inside of the giant round building, an island of oasis, a beautiful courtyard with barbecue grills and picnic tables under beautiful trees and small wild life near a lake that looks like an inter coastal water way. then you notice the beach sand volley ball area, and the mini golf green and the basket ball and tennis courts. Do you like 8 Ball? Billiards any one? Play pool at any one of the three, yes three pool tables for a game of eight ball or any other Billiards games you choose, or choose table tennis, ping pong any one? So much to do and so much to see, the gold Koi fish or Bass at the lake re fun or go swim yourself at the resort style pool with an island in the middle! Join in the Hot Tub. Want to live a healthier life style? Exercising in the guys or girls fitness center or get in the steam room or hot sauna (wooden walls with heat) both in each fitness center. Want to have a New years party reserve the huge club house for your party, equip with many chairs tables , dance floor, wet bar with fridge and microwave and sink.The club house also has a fire place and area for projection screen. the court yard has all this and more. Internet WIFI & Cable included in rent. Columns Iv apartments also offer many extra things for the relatively low rent including cable TV & WIfi. from work entering the guard shack if you have a package waiting for you they will give it to you, maintenance is very quick.
Apartment complex needs seriously updating. It wouldn't hurt to pay the office staff enough to keep the same people for more than a year.
We only found two downsides to living here: no pets, and the internet provided is pretty bad. If you're okay with that, or you're good buying your own internet, this place is great. The courtyard is just as wonderful as described.
I found it a great location, close to many restaurants,the mall, grocery stores, and not too far to make it to the highway. Nice that it's set back seat from Sunshine and good security.
