The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Buttes Apartments
We lived here for 2 years and did not have a great experience. It seemed like all of my neighbors either had a dog or were smokers - smoke drifting in from other units and dog poop that wasn’t cleaned up / unleashed dogs were big issues while we were there. The upkeep of the property also seemed to go a bit downhill especially over the last year while we were there. The trash was overflowing constantly. There’s no parking for guests. We rented a garage (for almost $100 extra a month) and received it in pretty bad condition - the light was broken and there were cobwebs and debris everywhere inside. I think some units have been renovated / updated but the unit we lived in was not and the kitchen and bathroom etc fixtures were old, surprising considering the $ of the rent charged. Most frustrating - the management company didn’t provide any move out information or instructions. In previous apartments I lived in the management would provide a checklist, ask for a forwarding address etc but none of that was done here and I had to email them a bunch and ask about the process. Seems very strange. They also took our entire security deposit (we’ve lived in nicer places and never had any of our deposits taken before) and claimed we damaged the countertops when the “damage” was obviously the result of the cheap contact paper they used on the counters. Also the system they use to charge rent and utilities is needlessly complicated and they attempted to charge us the full rent amount our last month there even though we should have been paying a prorated amount. It was only adjusted after a few emails where I questioned it. Makes you wonder what happens to renters who don’t pay attention and just have autopay set up? Just overall a disappointing experience.
The staff is so pleasant to speak with and so helpful when there is an issue. I had move in gifts in my apartment. Tooth brushes, tooth paste, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, laundry soap, dryer sheets and a bag of microwave popcorn.
