I’ve been at The Blake for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier. The apartments are spacious, modern, and the furniture is high quality. I love the convenience of having all utilities included—it takes a lot of stress out of managing bills. The pool and fitness center are great, and I’ve been using them frequently. I’ve been here for almost two years now, and while it’s not perfect, it’s been a pretty solid place to live. The apartment itself is spacious and the furnishings are nice. I love having access to the pool and the gym, and the convenience of being close to campus is a big plus. I’ve never had any issues with maintenance, and the staff is always friendly and responsive. It’s also nice to have all utilities included, so there’s no hassle with bills. Highly recommend for students looking for a comfortable and well-maintained place to live!

Maybe it’s a newer management, but I have not had any of the problems that previous commenters have had in the years prior. All maintenance has been completed within a week of request, and our one emergency was responded to that night. I enjoy living here and not having to worry about if things won’t be fixed!!

I've lived at The Blake as a student at Kennesaw for 3 years. I can honestly say that The Blake gets a way too much hate online for what you're getting. Not only is it walking distance or a 1 minute bus ride from campus, but you get a clean private bedroom and bathroom for much cheaper than other apartments that are FURTHER from campus. Any issue I've ever had with maintenance has been resolved the same day and the property is consistently clean. In the time I've lived here I have never once considered moving to another student apartment in the KSU area.

Love this property! Super close to campus and they have a bus to take me as well. I haven’t had many issues while living here and when I do the property and staff act fast to resolve it. Great place for student living and would recommend it to every student!

This is possibly the worst student housing in the area. Roaches are horrible!!! Management could care less. Property is unsafe, ungated, and no cameras allowing for break-ins and creepy unwanted people loitering in the parking lot. They will charge you ridiculous power overages every month with no justification and claim they can’t do anything about it and to call the power company which literally gets you no where seeing as how the account is not in your students name. They will sell you a dream to get you to sign a lease and then once you get there will tell you anything to get you off the phone and out of their office but NEVER resolve any issues. Be warned: Choose any place other than The Blake!!

This apartment complex has no security cameras anywhere in the complex. Cars get broken into regularly in the guest parking lot and there's nothing thay can be done due to this lack of cameras. People who don't live here or have two vehicles have two options: either get towed because they don't have a parking pass and pay $150 to get it out, or take the high risk chance of having your car broken into in the guest parking lot. There are also a number of other issues such as bugs everywhere, animal pee and poo in the hallways, parties pretty much every night with the weekend parties including drunk people throwing up off their two story balconies onto other people's patios, etc. Please find another place to live.
This place is nasty, the halls are nasty and always smell, the Apts are old with broken appliances, grounds are not maintained. My daughter moved in 2 yrs ago and the same 20 bikes are all locked up and rusted like they have been on the bike rack for yrs. Staff is rude, maintence is not knowledgable. Just beware its not worth the price tag.
The Blake was taken over last year by new property management, and they have renovated the property to a 360 degree turn around. The grounds are nice, the pool, the weight room, the office, and the apartments are nice. Management does what they say they will when there is a maintenance issue, or if someone is breaking the rules on the property.
This apartment complex is an older complex and apparently cannot compete with the other new complexes. Therefore, to keep their profit margins up, the new management company is charging excessive electrical charges with no explanation as to why the charges have doubled in the past year. They allow you to pay for a parking spot and tell you that you can choose where you want it but anyone with a monthly paid permit tag can park in the spot that you requested. If you have a loaner car when your car is in the shop, you are forced to pay $100 for a replacement sticker to use the parking spot that you already pay $35 a month to park in or you are told to remove the sticker from your car that is in the shop and place it in the loaner car.....mind you this is a sticker.....that will no longer stick once it is pulled off. The furniture is falling apart and when you request replacements they tell you that they are going to "look in the storage unit and see if they have anything", Then they do nothing.....when you call back....there is no record of you requesting a repair or replacement - if you open the work order - they tell you that you are on the list. If you ask to speak with a manager, they may or may not listen to your request or complaint, then they tell you that they will get back to you but you do not hear from them.... Stay away from this place, this management company has no integrity, no ethics and no I concern with meeting the terms of the lease. Our rent is paid three months in advance and they still make no effort to ensure that you are satisfied with the complex.
I HATE THIS PLACE this is my THIRD day living here ones i gave them my money for rent it was like everything else was downhill from there.I never got a tour, I got told the wrong information about my room number,i was told I would get an email with my new roommates numbers and names and I never received those either, i asked for the HR number multiple times and I got rejected from the front desk…please don’t live here take my advice
Stay away at all costs! If you are coming to college to party, this is the place for you. Location is walking distance to KSU but that is the only positive. Always loud, outside is gross (people don't pick up after their animals, pool/hot tub green), hallways smell like pee/trash/marijuana. After I moved out they breached their contract/lease agreement with me by taking close to 60 days to refund me almost $4000 dollars that I had in my account. I had to get my attorney involved to get them to refund me. There are so many better apartments that are the same price or less and MUCH nicer.
I currently rent here, and it's a pretty sweet location as it is located across the bridge from KSU. The internet is pretty awesome and they do keep it relatively clean. One thing I do not like is that a lot of the tenants are noisy and the apartment doesn't really do anything about that. I've been pretty continuously kept awake by some upstairs neighbors who party all the time, and the management seems uninterested in doing anything to put an end to that. It's a good place if college is kind of secondary to you and you want to party, but I am looking at grad schools and I can say that their lack of involvement isn't impacting my grades in a negative way. They have nice furniture, good office and the pool is pretty cool. I'd trade it all away for a good nights rest.
always smells like weed, things break and take forever to get fixed the mangemet it very rude and they do not treat you with any respect, its very overpriced and the size of the model room are nothing like the actual sizes of the rooms.
There have been 4 incidents this year of individuals throwing up in the hall and it takes atleast 2 weeks for them to clean it. And the way that they clean it is by sweeping it up with a broom. No cleaner used no carpet shampooing except for the week before people move in. There have been 2 incidents of either human or animal feces all over the wall and carpet in the hall and it took a week both times for it to be cleaned. Still no cleaner or carpet shampooing. The staff members and management are rude and gossip with each other about residents and the emails they receive. They do not respond to emails and when you call they say that their preferred way to speak to you is over email. the rooms are poorly insulated so the noise from other rooms on the hall is unbearable at times. It always smells like weed and trash. The external doors to the building are always proped open or broken so anyone can just wander in. DO NOT LIVE HERE

I have lived here for almost three years now and have never seen such negligence from a managerial team toward residents who have agreed to pay an ABSURDLY high rate for small rooms with paper-thin walls and a "maintenance" team that takes months to get anything done. My washer has not worked for over two weeks, there is never any parking, and the office staff are just plain RUDE.

It is a apartment complex geared towards college students, but will house anyone. It's a for long time to hear back from maintenance, and sometimes it gets a little loud due to the college atmosphere. But overall it is a good place to live. All utilities are included in the apartments come fully furnished, the only thing you pay is your rent. There is a pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, tanning room, computer lab, and workout facility available to all residents. Parking can sometimes be a hassle, however it has gotten a lot better.
I live in a 3bdr/3bath. The bedrooms and bathrooms are small but doable. The downstairs room is much more spacious. Comes furnished. Very modern style. Wifi. Hot tub was filthy last summer. Pool stays crystal clear and is cleaned daily. Close to campus, its on the BOB route. A little pricy for the small space. Basketball rims are missing and management has not replaced them.
Great college environment, and surprisingly not loud. Only thing I did not like was that maintenance took FOREVER to fix our AC. The unit broke during the SUMMER, and I didn't feel like they were in any rush to fix it. It was miserablely hot, and it took them about 2 months to properly fix it. They seriously acted like it was no big deal
