As its name suggests, West Eugene is a neighborhood about five miles west of the heart of Eugene and two hours south of Portland. The community is the most peaceful place. There is virtually no noise here. It is beautiful to walk our community with every yard and driveway lines with beautiful trees of varieties that blossom so differently you never tire of seeing what lies ahead. Staff and managements are proffessional, courtious and make the place feel like it’s truly our home.

Moving here was the healthiest choice I made this year. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the grounds are well maintained and I genuinely enjoy my apartment. It is the first apartment community I have lived in where they offer community activities like Neighbor Night. I enjoy meeting new people in a low-key atmosphere where I can have a beverage and walk home. I love our pool and the convenience of the location. My previous apartment reeked of cigarettes from all of the smokers that surrounded the apartment and this has been a smokeless environment so far. I really appreciate the cleanliness of my community and hope it stays that way.

No place that you don't design yourself can be "perfect." And while I still believe that my new community is the best I could have chosen, I admit that I've been a little disappointed here and there as I've been settling in. My last apartment had a nice kitchen. I MIGHT find space for all of the dishware, glasses, small appliances, utensils and other items in the limited cabinet spaces, but I feel some resignation at the other things that I'll miss. The fridge is OK, but very basic. No ice maker or water filter/dispenser and the shelves don't adjust. The sink is a single basin and there's no sprayer on the faucet. My heart sank when I treated myself to a dip in the hot tub (one of the features I'd savored in my new apartment choice). The jets were barely functioning; it was just like sitting in a bathtub I know..."First-world problems." But I wonder whether the compromises will nag at me or just fade as I enjoy the several features that make this place unique and attractive.

Chris was so nice and welcoming, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. From the very beginning, we felt right at home. The onboarding process was smooth, clear, and very well-organized, leaving no room for confusion or stress. Everything we needed was explained and taken care of in detail, and to our surprise, our apartment was ready the very same day. More and more weed smells have been coming around the complex I live in and it occurs so much my children ask what the smell is. Spider webs all over railings, and abandoned vehicles in parking spots. People digging through trash cans looking for cans, bottles, or valuable trash that's been thrown away. This really should be a gated community for the amount of rent charged and the area we are in.

The staff is very nice and responds to emails and phone calls very quickly which is helpful when trying to get information in a time sensitive matter. I have yet to deal with the maintenence team since our apartment has had no issues but the grounds and the pool are all in good condition which can tell you they do a good job. For college students if you are looking for a quiet place around 13 minutes from campus then this is for you.

I enjoy the hard wood florring, high ceilings, convenient pet friendly amenaties! The playground and pool have been clean, fun acitivities for the kids to enjoy. It's a family friendly place!

Pros: -The units are spacious & well-designed. If you come & go without spending much time on the grounds, it could be a good fit. -The maintenance team is great, though they are somewhat stretched thin. -The management is responsive. Cons: -The parking situation is poor. Lots of tenants are assigned parking spots in front of various units rather than their own, which is quite frustrating. Tenants will spend hours hanging out in their cars outside other people's units, creating somewhat of an invasive atmosphere. -Lack of communal spaces; the only option is the great room near the office, which is only open during office hours. -The grounds are littered with dog waste, even on sidewalks. The shared hallways are unsightly, with trash and debris that need attention. Shared spaces should be required to stay clean. -The dog park needs mulch replaced more than once a year. -Bike storage isn’t secure, with multiple break-ins reported. Chainlink stays cut & storage stays unusable

Great location as you are close to everything such as banks, restaurants, grocery stores, fast food places, buses, car wash, bike path and the enjoyment of wildlife. The landscape is very well maintained. They have a pool, hot tub, dog wash, dog park, basketball court, kids play area, workout room, and a game room. Once a week we have Neighbor night with either beer or wine plus great snacking foods. Great to meet your neighbors. Love the staff as they are always friendly and welcoming.

The community is nice and well maintained, also very welcoming. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and tucked next to outlets. The staff is really quick and friendly.

The apartments are well designed and built. The outside lighting however from a security perspective is not adequate. There are too many dark spots where someone could be hiding. The location is good with access to West 11th street and The Beltline is good.

Overall, living at the Bailey is great. But the area of Eugene where it is located has increasingly felt unsafe since I moved in 3.5 years ago. There is more crime and trash in the surrounding community. But the Bailey does a great job in addressing those issues how they are able like employing on-call security. If possible, I would appreciate more surveillance cameras on the property as a deterrent.

Awesome place to live. Great location to be able to walk to stores, do banking, hair/nails done. We are right on the Amazon path for walking. There are two buses to catch within a block either way. The entire staff is great! Then once a week we have brew night with either beer or wine and great snacks. Great amenities - pool, hot tub, workout room, game room, pet wash/dog park and racket ball court. The lawn crew keeps the place up weekly.

This is THE place for apartment living in West Eugene. Management is courteous and helpful and the general atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming. Looking down the street, I see an attractive, peaceful neighborhood with a small town appeal; a refuge from the stressful world around us.

Great place to live for many reasons. Love the Bailey team as they are friendly, attentive and respectful. The grounds and facilities are kept up and safe. Love the neighborhood nights for meeting new residents and staying in touch with others. The amenities are awesome for all ages. Good location for tons of reasons like the bike path, stores, buses and restaurants. You can walk to many places such as the post office, banks, nail salons , hair salons and coffee shops.
